Hi billie

For those of you with a close age gap, if the elder one is going to be over 2, I would be tempted to have a cheap stroller to hand for if you're going out for a long day out and your going to be with someone so you could have one buggy each and get a buggy board and reins for the shorter journeys when you're on your own. Keep testing them at walking and see how far they come between now and April-May time so you can make a better decision - children grow up a lot in 6 months. Both mine were walking everywhere by the time they were 2.5-3ish and we even stopped taking the pushchair out on days out from about 3.5 so I suppose it depends how long you would use a double for ? Seems a lot of money to spend if it's only going to be a few months? Or I suppose you could buy second hand so then it doesn't matter too much if you only use it for a couple of months ?

Lovelybeano · 27/10/2015 07:27

jellybaby how's your dd? Xx

BiffleRoo · 27/10/2015 07:38

My DS will be 23 months and I am
going to get a baby jiggly city select double so I can use it as a single or double. I walk 5-10 miles a day, especially with a new baby and there is no way he will walk that far. I will wear squish as much as possible but it will get too hot so I need the option.

Lovelybeano · 27/10/2015 07:51

Any age under 2 and definitely a double , I didn't even realise you could get one that's can be a single or a double biffleroo !! That sounds much better than spending a fortune on something that won't be used for very long xx

Weepants143 · 27/10/2015 08:02

That's not good MrsLewis, hope you feel better soon!

Thanks for all advice about double buggies ladies. I'm torn, as I do like to walk a lot. Think waiting six months and reassessing is a great idea.

Biffle - that was the exact buggy I was thinking of. I have a baby jogger Versa just now but was thinking if I sold that one and then got a second hand Select. Should have just got that the first time round!

Sorry I'm not making your names bold - I don't know how! Blush

obsessed1 · 27/10/2015 09:01

I've no idea of how to make them bold either, sorry!

Congrats on your scan snowflake, it must be very reassuring and make it all much more real.

I'm also craving salty crisps, and like others, I would usually choose chocolate over crisps mayday! Basically I just seems to want anything carby, like toast with jam also and am worried that I'm piling on the pounds after working really hard earlier this year to lose weight. Oh but I have gone completely off meat, can't bear the thought of it.

It's really nice to hear others are experiencing similar symptoms. I met up with an good friend the other night and she asked if it might be psycho somatic as I've wanted this for so long. I don't think she understands as she has a completely symptom free pregnancy with her ds. It's reassuring to see that I'm not the only one, and that I'm not just imagining how I feel!!

obsessed1 · 27/10/2015 09:05

Osiris, just wanted to say good luck for your scan today. What time is it? I have my fx for you that it'll be good news xxx

Rose2806 · 27/10/2015 09:12

I'm on a train eating a jam sandwich and banana, sounds odd but it's nice and easy on the stomach! Armed with loads of snacks to hopefully get me though the day :-)

How many people are experiencing nausea throughout the day rather than just at specific times? And does it make you feel any better if you are actually sick? I can imagine as it's all due to hormones it probably doesn't ..

To make things bold you put * on either side of the word, or if using the app there is a bold text option :-)

BiffleRoo · 27/10/2015 09:44

All day everyday Rose. Throwing up doesn't help at all. Eating does briefly. Unless I want to constantly eat ALL day I feel rats. Thrown up 4 times so far today and feel awful.

Osirus · 27/10/2015 09:46

Hi obsessed1 - it was at 8.20am and I've just got into work. I was so terrified but everything was fine! We saw the heartbeat and they measured it at 6w4d, even though I know the exact conception date due to IVF! I can relax a bit now! I hope you are doing ok - my cravings seem to centre around cheese - particularly the processed kind!

mrsmugoo · 27/10/2015 09:56

Threw up my breakfast this morning, my first actual sickness, right on cue, 8 weeks!

JellyBaby26 · 27/10/2015 09:58

Right I'm back.

DD was vomiting blood at the weekend so spent most of it in hospital. They think she had a little tear in her tummy. Feel so sorry for her as she's so helpless.

i have added all i can on Facebook or sent a message. Some i can't find and have given you my name as i am easy to find.

As always welcome to all new folk.

First midwife this afternoon!

Congrats Osirus and snowflake on your scans!

Aww mrsmugoo, how glamourous pregnancy is!

Rose - I'm not feeling sick constantly but I have waves that can hit me at any time of day. Food does help though but actually getting myself to eat it is hard!

I had a particularly bad day yesterday. I ended up going to bed a 7 because I felt so exhausted and sick topped off with a horrible headache. Thankfully. DP was able to put DS to bed.

MiraclesDoHappen82 · 27/10/2015 10:41

Congratulations osirus and snowflake on your scans. So exciting Smile. Iv had to cave and buy some cheap pg test sticks. Since I got my bfp on Friday i feel kind of 'what do I do now' scan is a long way off and not experiencing any symptoms yet. Did have sore boobs but they are much better now. So I kind of think if I get some test sticks I can do some poas-ing to past the time

obsessedlex · 27/10/2015 10:44

Oh my god I've bought a Tesco's sports bra and I can't tell you how happy the 'girls' now are!!
Heaven !!!

Two pack £12 - one white, one black.......

Belleboo23 · 27/10/2015 11:02

Ooh I must get a sports bra last night when I took my regular bra off I was in agony for about ten minutes! Brushing my teeth makes me feel sick was the same with dd but still not actually thrown up I know it won't be long!! Have the munchies today had porridge then couldn't shake the urge for crepes with orange and sugar so made 2 Hmm think I'm finally used to decaf coffee tho lol

carrie1008 · 27/10/2015 11:03

Salt & vinegar crisps (snack-a-jacks, mini cheddars will also do!) and lemonade seem to be keeping me at a functioning level at work today!!

Osirus · 27/10/2015 11:09

Hi miracles, I've done 4 pregnancy tests since my blood test result - there's no shame so carry on! It's nice to actually see a positive rather than just be told.

Osirus · 27/10/2015 11:10

If anyone is looking for some decent de-caff tea I recommend Yorkshire Tea. It's the best so far and actually tastes like tea!

HarleyQuinn90 · 27/10/2015 11:15

I'm on my way back from town, think I went into every shop going that sells baby clothes Blush got rather emotional looking at a tiny knitted cream cardigan in bhs. The sales assistant must of thought I was crazy Blush

MaudGonneMad · 27/10/2015 11:28

Cautiously, very cautiously checking in

I had a mc at 5 weeks in Sept, and seem to have gotten pregnant straight after (no AF in between).

Going by the date of mc, I think I'm 6+4. Doctor did blood tests at 4-5 weeks, and the bHcG levels were doubling (albeit still low - the last test was 372).

I have a booking appointment at 10 weeks, but just feeling a bit worried and anxious. Have the odd nauseous twinge but no sickness. Boobs were sore at 5 weeks but that seems to be gone (although they are slightly bigger).

Hope I stick around this thread and sending good wishes to all.

PrincessPunzie · 27/10/2015 11:46

Hi Maude congratulations and I hope you stick around too!

Harley I freaking love baby clothes! They are so cute and tiny. I keep trying to look at them in a disinterested fashion whilst I'm out shopping, but it's so hard not to get excited - they're just so cute and SMALL! I'm going to struggle not to waste all my money on unnecessary amounts of tiny clothing...

BiffleRoo · 27/10/2015 12:37

Hi maude and congrats on the scans snowflake and osirus.

Hope your daughter is doing ok now jelly it's so scary when they are ill and you feel so helpless. I've just sent you a message for FB as I don't seem to have been added and have no messages.

cautiousoptimist1 · 27/10/2015 13:05

Jellybaby how frightening for you and your DD! Hope she's recovering now x

Maud congratulations and welcome! I'm keeping everything crossed for you x

Osirus I second your recommendation for Yorkshire tea - it actually tastes like tea! Redbush tea is also quite nice, a different taste so worth a try if you can't get on with normal decaf tea. I wish I could like the fruit teas but I don't - I think my tastebuds expect them to taste like hot ribena so they're always a bit disappointing!

I'm still feeling nauseous today but eating cures it. But I've already been through my lunch and fruit for the day so not sure how to get through any nausea this afternoon but will see what happens.

laughingGnomette · 27/10/2015 13:26

Thanks for the decaf tea recommendation, I will definitely try it out.

Welcome Maud and congratulations!
