Great pic nehagarg! We have our reassurance scan on Friday , I'll be 8.6 then and am apprehensive , have midwife appt next Friday too , agree it seemed a lifetime away when it was booked and now it's in sight! Had a little meltdown to OH about how I feel crap and can't tell anyone like my mom or BF , I was fine after a good cry!

laughingGnomette · 28/10/2015 18:52

Hooray! Just found out my 12 wk scan date - 2nd Dec :)

Snowflake16 · 28/10/2015 19:00

What a fabulous scan picture nehagarg

BiffleRoo · 28/10/2015 19:02

Thought the same popper. On my last board we had 3 sets of twins Shock

We have twins in the family and it will be just my luck that 'just one more' ends up being twins. Not sure how on earth I'll cope with 2 tweenagers a toddler and newborn twins on my own.

MadMadamMim123 · 28/10/2015 19:05

Hi all sorry I've been away for ages. I've been feeling really poorly and sorry for myself. Had a cold and combining that with all the puking is not making me relish this bit of pregnancy.

Talking about twins... There's triplets in my family and twins in his. Seeing as I'm already unable to fit in my jeans and my sickness has been so bad... I'm nervous to say the least!!!

Lovelybeano · 28/10/2015 20:00

No twins on my side or ohs so I'm fairly certain there'll only be one, I don't know what I'd do with twins lol

Torfhinn · 28/10/2015 20:08

Great news on the scans amiseeing and nehagarg!

Shock biking

Hope you are feeling a bit better biffle

Saw the midwife this morning. Fairly uneventful, will see consultant due to thyroid disorder and have been referred to a midwife counsellor because of previous traumatic labour. We'll see Hmm

And feeling rough, rough, rough Sad

clarish84 · 28/10/2015 22:06

Excited and nervous for tomorrow have a scan in the morning to see if there is a heartbeat feels like these last 2 week have taken forever x

mrsmugoo · 28/10/2015 22:16

10 at night and I'm still puking...

Osirus · 28/10/2015 22:23

Morning sickness kicked in today - couldn't face tea and hot chocolate made me heave!

miracles, my first symptom was sore boobs and tiredness but the progesterone support they give you after IVF makes you feel like that. Are you still taking any? I have to continue with mine (Crinone) until 12 weeks.

mrsmugoo · 28/10/2015 22:27

I'm still on cyclogest until 12 weeks Osiris but mine was for luteal phase defect not IVF. I haven't had sore boobs at all yet - I had tender boobs around 9/10 weeks last time so expecting it in a week or two.

MiraclesDoHappen82 · 28/10/2015 23:29

Yes Osirus I'm still taking pessaries. Is the sore boobs from them then? So annoying all this waiting is

obsessedlex · 29/10/2015 06:24

mrsmugoo I feel for you, I've only actually been sick twice, maybe you should see what the docs say ? Hugs xx

pickledsausage · 29/10/2015 07:00

Hi everyone! I haven't posted much but have been lurking and following everyone's progress, sorry to hear of losses and hard times Haloween Sad

I have a reassurance scan on Saturday, will be 8+2, so hoping for a heartbeat and everything where IT should be. I've had a serious lack of symptoms so I'm either incredibly lucky or something isn't quite right, will just have to wait and see. Can't wait for the second trimester. Especially as I've basically had to go into hiding and cancel so many plans - I'm such a drinker usually that it would be so obvious! I hate lying to people!

Has anyone else had minimal symptoms? Even my boobs aren't particularly sore anymore.

PrincessPunzie · 29/10/2015 07:20

Hi pickled don't worry I haven't had the most symptom-y of pregnancies so far either. Very little in the way of sickness and nausea, and I've had a cold for a while so anything I do experience like headaches or dizziness could just as easily be due to that. However I've seen posts in the Pregnancy section almost every day from women who don't have as many symptoms as they'd like, and it just seems to be the way it is for some of us. My boobs are still sore but not as much as they were - although perhaps that's because I'm getting used to it! I heard a heartbeat last week at 6.5 - I was toying with the idea of a reassurance scan next week at 9 weeks but I've decided against it now.

I am also a known lush, haha! My brother clocked me straight away when I ordered a Diet Coke at his birthday lunch, and I'm putting off seeing my sister-in-law, who wants to go on a piss-up, until I can tell her! I refuse to actually lie to anyone (I'm incredibly bad at it!) so if they do clock me I just come out with it. I'm not missing wine as much as I thought I would, which is great, but occasionally I do catch myself dreaming of a lovely cold glass (or three) of it come June!

Lovelybeano · 29/10/2015 07:46

Good luck for today clarish

For those of you fancying salty carbs, yesterday I got a ham cob for the bakers, as in proper ham not sliced and it was absolutely beautiful, salty and really tasty! I haven't boiled my own ham before but I am considering learning, that option has got to be healthier than the crisp thing I've got at the mo! Also pure orange juice is my friend too, I know it has lots of sugar but it contains a few vitamins in too so o can justify it haha

Lovelybeano · 29/10/2015 07:50

princess I'm really sorry I forgot to go into boots to ask about Vicks :( I remembered when I got home, my memory is really fuzzy at the mo xx

mrsmugoo · 29/10/2015 08:00

Dropped DS off at nursery and called in the shop to pick up an ice cold Pepsi max - I never drink fizzy drinks normally but it's honestly my lifesaver at the moment!

How bad does the sickness need to be before a doctor can help? I did keep some food down yesterday but was sick about 4 or 5 times. It's horrible but I don't think it's "that" bad just yet, I'm managing.

I'm craving those instant ramen noodles today...

BiffleRoo · 29/10/2015 08:22

beano orange juice here too. Has to be Tropicana though ... Shame it doesn't stay down.

Another day starting at 5am thanks to DS and already been sick 5 times. Dealing with ms was much easier last time when I was working full time. Finding first trimester really tough this time and spend so much time crying.

mrsmugoo · 29/10/2015 08:36

Those asking about Vicks - the vapour rub is safe in pregnancy, the decongestant tablets are not.

But you're worried about using the vapour rub then just plain steam inhalation works for congestion.

mrsmugoo · 29/10/2015 09:42

Ooh there's a July group now!

HarleyQuinn90 · 29/10/2015 09:58

Morning all
I've been feeling really sorry for myself as I'm constantly feeling sick but reading others posts about not being able to keep anything down I feel lucky Blushhope you all feel better soon. Thanks
I don't know how I'm going to hide not drinking, I'm a bridesmaid at a wedding next Saturday and I know my cousins boyfriend will be handing out sambuca like he does at every get together, and others will offer me drinks, for the toast instead of champagne it's jagerbombs, going to ask the waiter to put coke in my shot glass instead of jägermeister Wink
Also, the bride and bridesmaids are doing a flash mob type dance at the reception, I think it will be okay to do I'm just worried about getting lightheaded or dizzy in the middle of it.

Stripes1983 · 29/10/2015 10:01

Orange juice for me too! Had a good day of not really feeling sick and ate a fair bit until 9pm and then was really sick , having a day off today as feel shattered and banging headache! Good luck for today clarish and for Saturday pickled

Stripes1983 · 29/10/2015 10:04

That's a tough one harley could you say your on anti biotics if you don't think it will be easy to get away with not drinking? I had to do that at a hen do 3 wks ago, I have the wedding in 3 wks too, I'm hoping to have had scan and can tell ppl as I don't think I'll get away with not drinking twice around same people!

HarleyQuinn90 · 29/10/2015 10:12

Good idea! Antibiotics it is
