Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 38th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

Thanks ga! I do feel like I cheated though as it was mostly inside after being sucked in by hoover foof. So I did push it out at 8cm but don't think it was in the right place for stretching. Just want to know I'm doing it right so it's not a waste of time and money! It doesn't feel like it stings like it says it is supposed to when you pump it up - it just makes me feel like I want to poo!

mountain wow a week already! Well done on avoiding the baby shower, they're the worst! My friend gave birth on the morning of her baby shower - we still went ahead and she Skyped in from hospital!

bat don't worry. I constantly wondered if it was too far in or not enough in. I think everyone struggles to keep it in place. I found that it would get sucked in if I had it a bit too far in, and got that pressure in my rectum feeling. That's ok though, it's just stretching your vaginal tissue. Your perineum is stretching when you expel it. I actually phoned the distributer whose number is on the website to ask her that very thing, I was worried I wasn't feeling the stretch in my perineum enough but she said that the way I was doing it was absolutely fine and you don't need to feel the crowning stretch throughout the process. If anyone wants advice then definitely phone her, she's lovely and so knowledgeable and helpful. You can also birth the balloon multiple times in one session, well I did, so you know you are giving your perineum a good work out. So do your ten mins of stretching, birth out, then put it back in and blow up and just birth immediately, repeat if desired: that's what I did! How are you finding the crowning??

bat I never found the insides would sting with the stretch, only the crowning. I just got the pressure same as you.

honey what lovely friends you have! I second everyone else, they don't have to come if they don't want to but if they do then play nicely! Babies are just like weddings, people get weird. My Mil was a pain in the arse moaning about not getting any photos with DS...while he was fighting for his life in scbu. Nice.

Thanks indigo for the pep talk! Haven't found it too bad when coming out, but uncomfortable but wouldn't really say painful. Glad I managed 8cm today as I've been stuck on 7cm for nearly a week! Although that was partly due to mr bat wandering in a couple of minutes before I was going to push it out going 'ooh can I pump it up a bit more?' Think he is keen to avoid too much fanjo mutilation during birth!

When are you meant to start using the epi-no? Seriously tempted

Bat I don't think it matters if it's too high up, as when you push the baby out it travels all the way from your cervix to the outside. So as long as you are pushing it out you are still stretching it.

Got 16w MW appt a bit later. Gx for a nice heartbeat! Packed a ROC too (a measuring cup from liquid detergent) as there's no way I'll be aiming into those tiny piss pots again!

cake you can start using it at any time for pelvic floor training and then it says from 37 weeks for the birth training.

would I started at 35 weeks. You're not officially meant to, it's supposed to be 37, but that's not because there's any risk with starting earlier, it's only because 37 is considered term. I think they should rethink this and for me starting earlier was much better because I could go slow and not push myself too much.

honey i'd go with inviting your DM and DSis, letting them know your friends are planning it etc, and that they don't have to come if they don't want to (if you genuinely don't mind) as its you they might enjoy it more than they think they will :)

2 pints seems a bit much! I drank too much water on the way to my 12 week scan and got told to go and empty some twice during the scan...

Just came back from MW appt, hard the heart beat She said baby is lying quite high so that's probably why I've been feeling movement already. And I'll finally be getting my exemption card, yay!

honey I'm from Canada where showers are totally normal, expected even. One friend of mine who is not a friend any more was VERY weird about the shower for the same reason as your mum and sister. DO NOT INVITE THEM. They won't enjoy it, they will spoil it for your lovely friends, and you will be on edge the whole time. Make plans to do something special with them like having them round for a glass of fizz and some cake when you bring baby home from the hospital. Much more intimate anyhow.

Baby v wriggly which caused some difficulty in getting nt measurement but all looked fine. Had to go for a half-wee to move it around, and do some coughing too! Soooo relieved. Went n bought an ickle cardigan to celebrate
