Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 38th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 37th grads fred is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 53rd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Now mountain puuuuuuuuush! Grin

batfish · 10/09/2015 07:05

Eeeeek exciting mountain any more news?? Totally don't mean this excitement as I need you to stay preggers forever and guard the number 1 list spot

pud I'm with you on wanting to scare the hubby, he was out the other night and I called him and his battery was dead and I thought about calling his mates to panic him hehe

Epi-no arrived yesterday, it looks terrifying! Training begins tonight!

oneyorkshirepud · 10/09/2015 07:09

Woop woop, go Bat with your foof training!

So pleased that little Melba is okay, she must be tiny! I think we will have a baby Mountain (A hill? A molehill?) By the end of the day too!

Refuses to look at the stats list, La La La La la

mountaingirl01 · 10/09/2015 07:42

Sorry to disappoint viroids but I really don't think we will! Been contracting all night but keep going from every 4 minutes of not too bad to every 10 of bad... feel like I've had a heavy night on the tiles! Dh has gone back to work which he had to, but it scares me a bit as he's pretty unobtainable once he's in theatre.
Part of me just wants to feel better and bury my head that this baby needs to come out other part wants things to get properly going now - I'm scared this could continue for the next few days!
Sorry to be me me me
and to excite you all for nothing :(

batfish · 10/09/2015 08:12

Aww mountain I think you're allowed to be me me me! You poor thing, must be shattered. Hope things start to ramp up for you soon - not before your hubby is contactable though! Can you leave a message with theatre staff for him if you need to?

jellypi3 · 10/09/2015 08:25

Big hugs mountain. At bat says your allowed to be me me me. Have you called your mw about the flu feeling?

Yay for going home purple. Enjoy those squishy newborn cuddles.

I'm starting to suffer with my back :( my lower back (almost my coxit) area just hurts when I sit or lay down for too long. Any ideas or remedies? And is it worth mentioning to mw?

Oh I'm half baked today!! (20w)

CarrotPuff · 10/09/2015 09:14

Yay for going home purple!

Good luck with fanny stretcher bat!

mountain I hope things start to progress for you soon, get as much rest as you can. Are you still contracting? Maybe take a warm bath?

jelly I'll join you in the pity corner with a sore right hip. I think a few days ago it was the left one...

The only thing I can recommend for back pain is gym ball. Sit on it as much as you can, it helps your posture and can help alleviate some aches. I vaguely remember having coccyx pain with DS, but it went away on its own after some time. You just need to find a comfy position to sit!

gaggiagirl · 10/09/2015 09:20

Oh mountain that sucks you must be shattered. Has it stopped now?
Get on that epi no bat I'm doing mine soon still aiming for the 7cms!

gaggiagirl · 10/09/2015 09:29

Ooh can someone amend the stats sheet so you all move up one please.
We wont bat we've been queue jumped! Shock

ThursdayLastWeek · 10/09/2015 09:47

mountain sounds like things are moving in the right direction though- take some paracetamol and get as much rest as you can possibly squeeze in. If this is the start, it could get tiring v quickly. Hugs to you, is there anyone else you could get/would want around you?

jelly I suffer from lower back pain quite a lot - not severe but a lot of the time. I do Pilates to help - obviously, the lying down bit is no good to you now but perhaps you could YouTube some standing back exercises? And see if there's and antenatal Pilates teacher near you somewhere?

Good luck with the fanny torture training bat! How's your bag looking?

If anyone has the inclination to help me out - my dates have been moved forward, but I don't know how to do it properly on the stats sheet. I'd be v grateful if someone could change it for me, I'm 13+4 Smile

mountaingirl01 · 10/09/2015 11:44

Been sitting on ctg machine all morning as baba's heartbeat a little low. Annoyingly my 'contractions' register quite low which is scaring me as they hurt!

mountaingirl01 · 10/09/2015 12:18

:( 3 incredibly uncomfortable hours on the ctg and I'm being sent home being reminded that my baby is massive and that my contractions don't hurt enough yet. Trying not to cry in front of the midwives.

gaggiagirl · 10/09/2015 13:06

Ah mountain nooooo, what's their action plan then? Send you home til it does hurt? The bastards! I really feel for you.

picklethistle · 10/09/2015 13:56

Aww mountain you poor love. Sending you hugs, chocolate and anything that can possibly help right now.

SecondCupOfTea · 10/09/2015 15:03

Oh, bless you Mountain. It'll all be worth it Smile

Jcandy · 10/09/2015 16:28

Oh mountain Sad I guess the ctg was ok in the end then. I hope it doesn't drag out too much longer for you but you can do this!

oneyorkshirepud · 10/09/2015 17:16

Oh Mountain that is pants. I suggest that you do a little sick on the particular midwife or wee on her shoes when you go back in later. Smile Remember that pain relief is available if you need it. Until then, chocolate. Unmumsnetty hug for you, you will get to meet your baby soon!

Jelly I think you've already got the preggo pillow? I'm finding that lying on the floor on my back helps. (I know we are not supposed to but I think it is the fact that I am not lying on my back a night time that is causing the problem!) So I am just doing that for 5 mins at a time and letting everything relax. Last night I knelt on the floor and then laid my torso on the sofa (labour stylie) and got DH to massage my lower back which really helped. I've self referred to the obstetric physio too and have a gym ball for my work desk and sewing desk at home. I am not giving in to the back pain! (Yet).

batfish · 10/09/2015 18:24

Aww mountain you poor thing! Sounds absolutely horrid Sad

ga I need to talk epi-no. So I just had my first go and I don't think I did it right. How do you know if you've got it in the right place and get it to stay there? It kept getting sucked all the way in (hoover foof) or sliding out. And when it's pumped up it seems to get to the point that it is almost impossible to pump up more, do you have to just keep pumping it really hard?! I held it in place but no idea if it was the right position or not - it didn't sting like it says it should, just made me need a poo actually! When I gave birth to my little balloon it was about 6.5cm but I don't know whether to be pleased with that or if I was doing it wrong!

However mr bat just decided to look up a video of an episiotomy on YouTube and my God that has made me want to carry on my bucket fanny training - I'm not squeamish but it was way worse than I imagined!!

gaggiagirl · 10/09/2015 18:34

bat watch the video tutorials on the epi no site, indigo helped me a great deal, just pm her on FB she's been brilliant.
Put it in til the half way point and hold it there then pump up til you feel at your limit. Try closing your legs while you hold it otherwise it'll shoot out. 6.5 is an excellent start. I'm still at that but I've got puffy fanjo currently.

ThursdayLastWeek · 10/09/2015 18:37

Wtf kind of crazy fool googles an episiotomy?!??!

batfish · 10/09/2015 18:38

Ah thanks ga I didn't realise there were videos, will have a look! Just want to make sure I'm doing it right because it didn't feel very stable! Feel like I've hit a new level of preggo glam Grin

batfish · 10/09/2015 18:50

thursday I have no idea....but I seriously advise against it!!

gaggiagirl · 10/09/2015 19:24

My preggo glam moment today was wetting myself while I made the tea. I had already been for a wee but obviously wasn't empty. DP arrived just in time for that...poor fella.

honeysucklejasmine · 10/09/2015 19:32

I bought some more Tena today Ga

batfish · 10/09/2015 19:42

I haven't peed myself yet but I'm guessing there's time!! I've never even done any pelvic floor exercises, I'm doomed!! Will be forever incontinent after birth!
