started a new thread as the old one was getting full up. Thought I would post the link to stats here too so people can update if they want!

Marmite if they had a gender scan then that's normal. Like "proof" that they've got the gender right iyswim?

sherazade · 05/09/2015 07:39

Hi everybody . I've been so busy and exhausted with work that didn't get time to pop in here, after work so busy with other stuff I can barely even hold my phone at times. I'm a workaholic and this needs to stop !
Sooooo when I walked into work most teachers get straight away including my head . Have always been a tiny person but I pop out straight away in pregnancu so it was obvious I suppose . I did not relish all the attention and the worst thing that sets me off into an internal rage is people stroking and prodding my bump which I feel is a huge invasion of my personal space Angry. and I've had one teacher repeatedly hug me and sneeze / cough all Over me telling me how ill and contagious she was which pissed me off because when I get the cold or flu I get really ill .
Other than that I have a lovely new class that are very calm and get on with things and a very supportive, hands on teaching assistant who is an absolute treasure .
Still sick and even more so now that I wake up so early when my nausea is at its peak so throwing up breakfast has become normal although I hope this subsides by 15 weeks as it did in previous pregnancies .
It's been very busy on here : Ginger am so pleased for you !!!
One thing I keep hearing is that during scans people's babies were to still for measurements - my baby was fast asleep during my 12 week scan and did not stir . When I asked the sonographer of we needed to get the baby to move she said no because it's so much easier to measure and scan a still baby than a wriggling baby but that seems to be the opposite of what I'm hearing here .
That was a long rant !

sherazade · 05/09/2015 07:41

So many typos sorry Blush blame my iPhone

BeautifulLiar · 05/09/2015 08:06

Sherazade wow you sound busy!

The problem with my baby was that it was in an "upright foetal position" (quoted from notes!) and they wanted it laid on its back basically.

sherazade · 05/09/2015 08:24

Aww that's cute, beautiful !

BeautifulLiar · 05/09/2015 09:29

Haha if you say so! I'm not happy with it! Grin

Rosieblossom123 · 05/09/2015 10:37

marmite exactly the same here been having really bad cramps yesterday and diarrhoea was worried but then like you realised its my bowls. So uncomfortable :(

ginger that's great hun really pleased for you. Flowers

Bought a few maternity trousers all my ones are size 8 definitely don't fit anymore as well as work trousers! Can't wait to start wearing them next week! Couldn't help myself the other and bought the Tommee Tippee steriliser black edition one for £69 from Amazon so much cheaper than the shops, it has eight bottles, bottle warmer, a dummy, bottle brush, powder containers 8 of them and the steriliser I thought that was so cheap and a nice starter pack!

13+6 today and sickness is still here can't wait to start glowing soon at the moment I feel like a zombie!! Sad

Trinpy · 05/09/2015 10:41

Great news ginger! You must be so relieved.

marmite dh's friend and his dw had a 3D scan to find out the sex of their baby and they were given a couple of close-up images of a teeny tiny baby penis. They invited us round for tea and cake and showed us. It was the first time I'd met them and it was all very odd.

BeautifulLiar · 05/09/2015 10:49

Trinpy that's fucking hilarious!

Gingerlady123 · 05/09/2015 10:55

Thanks everyone.
I computed my results in an online calc it gave me odds of 1:10 downs. 1:57 downs. I knew I shouldn't of done it. Scared my self silly about t18/13 as they only gave me my downs risk, I wanted all three.

12+1 today. Still feeling sick bleurgh. Was hoping it would get better nearing 2nd trimester. My baby is always lying on its back during scans takes a lot of work to move them around.
Dreading sixteen week heart scan still as high nt can indicate heart problems, also dreading anomaly scan as it could also be organ problems or spine problems. Nhs scan on Wednesday hoping fluid doesn't get worse.

Gingerlady123 · 05/09/2015 11:32

Just read something online which says

Downs hcg high Papp-a low
Trims 18 both low.
I have both high and a nasal bone present which is probably why my risk is lower.
I'll trust the paper not the internet calculator.

IndomitabIe · 05/09/2015 12:34

Aw ginger. It's frightening isn't it? You're right that the nasal bone is reassuring.

Will you have all the testing again with the NHS next week?

Gingerlady123 · 05/09/2015 12:45

I'm not sure if I should or not. If fluid increases I think I will.
What do you all think?
I know I should go by the labs results and not some silly internet result but it's not nice seeing it, especially for t18 and t13.

IndomitabIe · 05/09/2015 18:15

I definitely think you should. Then you'll be in the system for follow up etc.

marmitemofo · 06/09/2015 06:47

ginger I agree with indomitable, I'd get the test done on the NHS too because it sounds like you still need your mind set at rest and might help you resist the temptation to look up things on the internet.

How's everyone today? After my mammoth 5 hour journey back from Bradford yesterday I fell asleep at half 7, woke up a few times and went back to sleep but basically slept until 6am when DD woke up! Off to my hometown today in the southwest to see my new nephew! Very excited Grin

It's looking like a nice day in the West Country, marmite - I can see wall to wall blue sky and sunshine (from my bed). Which is unusual nice. (Mind you, we're occasionally high enough to poke through the cloud here while the rest of the area is dealing with drizzle, so I might be wrong!)

I'm tired. I went to work for 2 days and it ruined me! I don't want to go back tomorrow.

Missikat · 06/09/2015 09:27

Hi all, haven't been on for a few days as away in the Peaks for a lovely break. Lots been going on on here!

Welcome all the new lassies. Vroc, we're due date buddies! And maybe, you're one day later! Congrats on all the fab scans, sons very cute looking babies!

ginger, so happy your results came back low risk, really happy for you but know the big nt measurement must still be so worrying. I agree with the others, get a follow up if you can. Fingers crossed it starts to shrink and is nothing ominous.

I'm not looking forward to telling work next week, but think it needs to be done as my tummy is pretty big! (It was fairly fat before anyway, never really shifted it after DS so hoping people may just be thinking I've gained a bit more! There's loads going on at work with one colleague on suspension who's probably going to be sacked, plus two others on written warnings and another thinking about applying for a new job. we're only a small team and I'm the service manager so it's a really bad time to be going off, but I guess it happens and can't change it just coz I feel bad about leaving them in the shit!! Just adds a level of extra stress tho.

Is anyone else still feeling really tired into the second tri? This had definitely passed by now with DS (I'm now 13+6), want my energy back. I've also had streaming cold and when I sneeze I get a stabbing pain in my womb area, bit worrying but hoping it's just due to the stretching. Hope you've all had a good weekend xxx

QforCucumber · 06/09/2015 09:47

I'm feeling the urge to go for a swim today but dont have a costume which fits damn it.
Sun is out so may just have a walk around the local park instead.
Scan day tomorrow - so so nervous even though at 13+1 everything symptom wise is pointing towards all being ok.
missi I have a blocked nose too and a dodgy sneeze pain, we're making those poor babies bounce around in there aren't we!

BeautifulLiar · 06/09/2015 10:35

I'm also feeling shattered now I'm in the second tri. Annoying!! Hopefully we'll all get our bursts of energy soon!

Still annoyed that I'm approaching 14 weeks and still haven't had a proper dating scan, hmm. Bet it will all be forgotten when I see the baby on the screen though - just hope it behaves this time!

MyNameIsSuz · 06/09/2015 10:50

Me too, I'm properly exhausted, I don't remember feeling like this with ds. Should try some exercise perhaps, that seems to be the big difference this time.

That's rubbish Beautiful, do you have a scan date?

Rosieblossom123 · 06/09/2015 11:08

Missikat I've been having the same stabbing pain when I sneeze, it's horrible and scary but it's so common my friend said she gets it too so that's why I'm not worrying too much.

Same here I'm 14 weeks today and still feel awful and knackered all the bloody time really not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow :( but on the bright side I'm in my second trimester so it's all good! Can't wait for the 21st to hear baby's heartbeat with the midwife I haven't heard it yet in all my scans you could only see it beating away!

Missdee2014 · 06/09/2015 11:53

Another one here with sharp pains when I cough or sneeze (which I'm doing a lot right now). Mentioned it to the midwife and also consultant and both said its common and nothing to worry about.

Gingerlady123 · 06/09/2015 12:01

Whe do you get the sharp pain? I get it in my right ovary area when I sneeze.

Thanks everyone. I will see what Nhs say Wednesday. Fingers crossed baby is ok but we are still so scared.

12+2 today.

Missdee2014 · 06/09/2015 12:56

I get it both sides. Either right or left at ovary area too. I was worried about it too but they said all fine and my baby certainly seemed fine at the scan, hyper wee bissum. I'm 13+1 today.

Rosieblossom123 · 06/09/2015 13:04

Ginger I used to get it on my left ovary and got so worried and my 9 weeks scan showed nothing to be concerned about at all and baby was fine, for some reason now I get it on both sides, told them at my 12+5 weeks scan but they said its normal and baby was having a party in there haha so it's definitely normal!
