started a new thread as the old one was getting full up. Thought I would post the link to stats here too so people can update if they want!

Definitely not paper, get saving as many links etc as you can! You wouldn't want to forget where you'd seen something and end up having to buy something rubbish or more expensive!

Strawclutching · 30/09/2015 05:54

Hi everyone I haven't posted in more than a month I'm the one who was told the baby had died only to find they'd made a mistake and hadn't. (What a horrible summary that is). Glad to hear everyone is feeling well and getting excited.

I'm in the camp of hoping baby number 2 is easier. Newborn-1 year was horrific for us so I definitely feel we deserve a sleeper!

Anyone else terrified of the 20 week scan coming up?

IndomitabIe · 30/09/2015 06:32

Morning. DH is unsympathetic so I need to share with you instead.

^I'm so tired*. 15 weeks today. Went on a geog field trip yesterday. Felt flipping marvellous, bar the coughing from the cold I had at the weekend. Was unusually grumpy last night and then this morning, incapacitated with tiredness. Lungs full of mucus (yum). No patience for DS ramblings (I've no idea what he's going on about).

I though I would be past this by now. Hopefully I'll feel better after a shower.

docmcstuffins1 · 30/09/2015 07:17

Welcome back strawclutching, what an awful time you've had, no wonder you're anxious about your 20 week scan. Mines on the 21st October, seems like ages away!
This is DC1 for me, so hoping for one of the ones that sleeps and doesn't cry (pretty please!) Grin

Paperblank · 30/09/2015 07:34

Nice to see you back strawclutching Flowers

Feeling utterly rubbish this morning - full of cold (thanks Dniece Hmm) BUT have got my 16 week appointment - Grin - this afternoon. It's a bit late as I'm 17 + 3. How long were your appointments?

Rosieblossom123 · 30/09/2015 09:47

Paper mine took literally 10 mins, I'm 17+3 today too but my app was on the 21st, it's so exciting listening to baby's heartbeat, good luck :)

Strawclutching welcome back :) i'm always so nervous before my scans and appointments it does my dp's head in haha can't help it tho! My 20 week scan is 16th October so not long now! Shock

Me624 · 30/09/2015 10:13

Welcome back strawclutching what an awful time you must have been through. Hopefully you'll be able to relax a bit more after the 20 week scan.

I'm desperate to start feeling some movement! 17+5 today. I have been lying in bed at night before I go to sleep concentrating really hard to see if I can feel anything but nope, nada.

Think DH and I have finally found a boy's and a girl's name that we're both happy with. I love the girl option, the boy option is slightly American sounding for my liking but it's definitely one I'm happy with. Can't wait to find out which it is at the scan!

Trinpy · 30/09/2015 10:22

Welcome back Straw!

My 16 week appointment isn't until Monday but I remember mw appointments always being a bit dull (sorry!). Usually just asking how I am, checking wee sample and listening to the heartbeat. Over and done with very quickly!

I'm waiting until the January sales for all the big purchases. I bought ds' nursery set very cheaply this way.

ThePug · 30/09/2015 10:50

Me I'm doing exactly the same every night. 16+6 here and can't wait to feel something

DH and I stopped discussing names weeks ago as we decided to just wait til after the 20w scan so at least we're only thinking of either boy or girls names. I have a girl name that I've liked since getting pg but it's a bit of a 'MN name' and not sure if I'll chicken out of using it. We have literally no boys names we like.

Paper & Indom Hope you both feel better soon. I just had a sneezing fit and really hoping it's not the start of a cold.

Good to have you back Straw

sherazade · 30/09/2015 11:10

beautiful- were yours exclusively breastfeeding at until 6 months and then dropped night feeds as soon as they started solids? I can't see how my daughter would ever have dropped night feeds at that age- in fact she upped her breastfeeding as she grew older. Started weaning onto solids at 6 months but she wasn't having any of it so was sitll exclusively breastfeeding 6-12 months then went straight onto three meals (ate what we ate) at age 1 and dropped night breastfeeds 6 months later, self weaned off the breast on her second birthday. was very strict about bedtime too!

Me624 · 30/09/2015 11:38

Oh and I meant to say thanks to those who recommended Palmers tummy butter, I ordered that instead of bio oil and it's lovely!

One positive I've noticed in the last few days as well is my hair, it's normally very fine and limp, now I'm still no Kate Middleton but it's looking a lot thicker!

Trinpy such a good point about waiting for January sales, especially on the furniture. I think I'll start buying a few things after the 20 week scan but will leave the big things until January.

Rosieblossom123 · 30/09/2015 11:49

As you know i'm a first time mum and don't have any stretch marks yet, also using Palmers but this morning I noticed stretch marks under my boobs??? please tell me its normal??? Confused

BeautifulLiar · 30/09/2015 11:56

Rosie - my first ever stretchmarks were on my boobs!

Sherazade - yes they were breastfed, although the older two also ate solids from 4 months. The youngest started solids at 6 months. And I have used controlled crying! It's very important to me that children sleep, and touch wood they're all brilliant at going to bed, staying in bed, and sleeping through. Don't think I'd have 4 otherwise!!

I'm having a horrible day today, can't really disclose why, but I'm so worried this will be the start of a stressful pregnancy, all of the others were seriously stressful and I was hoping to be relaxed for this one.

BeautifulLiar · 30/09/2015 11:57

Me - we're buying big things after Christmas too :)

Rosieblossom123 · 30/09/2015 12:06

Oh thank you Beautiful! Try not to stress too much, I know its easier said than done Flowers

Trinpy · 30/09/2015 12:18

Rosie at least if they're on the underneath of your boobs you can't see them (I happily live in denial of mine)!

My mum has got a mahoosive varicose vein across her thigh still from when she was pregnant with me - sorry about that mum - so I always think of my stretchmarks as being the lesser evil.

Rosieblossom123 · 30/09/2015 12:33

Trinpy don't get me wrong I don't mind stretch marks, I just got worried that they're in the wrong place, my boobs are definitely growing but just didn't expect that haha

My mum has loads of stretch marks from when she was pregnant with me, I always tell her sorry haha I was 9lb so she can't really blame me.

TriJo · 30/09/2015 13:19

I CAN EAT CHOCOLATE AGAIN WITHOUT FEELING SICK. Sweet jebus this is a wonderful day.

marmitemofo · 30/09/2015 13:44

trinpy I have loads of stretch marks on my boobs from puberty - it was awful when I was 16 and wanted to wear bikinis but had boob stretch marks everywhere and felt horribly self conscious. I actually got none on my breasts during last pregnancy despite my boobs getting massive, I'm assuming as skin was already stretched out from pregnancy! thinking about it, I was always bound to get stretch marks during pregnancy as I have some on my legs from puberty as well. Basically I have shit skin that doesn't stretch very well haha.

sorry to hear you're stressed beautiful Flowers

sherezade my DD was exclusively bf till 5 1/2 months and embraced solids very enthusiastically, but still fed at night. We didn't use controlled crying or anything though so maybe that's why. she still sleeps crap, well wakes up early every day. Was up at 5.30am this morning Sad. We are pretty strict about bed time so she goes down easily, just wakes up early. have had to accept thats the way she's wired.

docmcstuffins you might be asking for a bit much for a sleeper and non-crier, though that's what I want for my DC2! My DD was the happiest most chilled out lovely baby ever, she never cried and was a joy to be around. even now she's not hugely tantrum-y compared to other kids of her age I know. but her sleep has always been awful! I think honestly if I had to choose though I'd go for a chilled out during the day but not sleeping at night child, I'm not sure I could cope with a crier. Expect this time I'll get a crier now and I've jinxed myself!

long day today at work and DP is playing football again so need to do dinner, bath and bed for DD alone. then have pregnancy yoga at 8pm, I'm gonna be absolutely wiped out!

marmite strange how our bodies react to pregnancy! I'm glad it's fairly normal, might have to moisturise them though.

Wow This thread is nearly finished!! Shock

vroc81 · 30/09/2015 14:26

TriJo GrinSmileGrin good news!!!

Having just finished a bag of minstrels myself!

Gingerlady123 · 30/09/2015 15:07

Havnt had time to catch up on this thread.
Hope everyone is ok.
Booked a gender scan for 10th October. I'll be 17+0 on that date. So excited but nervous for some reason. 10 more days!
Still vomiting all the time, been put on a different anti sickness med and since taking them havnt vomited once yet, feel so guilty taking them but risking dehydration and being on a drip is not something I want to risk either. I could vomit 4-5 times a day still without them and it was making work a misery. Hoping it dies down. 15+4 and it's just got worse since week 12 ish instead of better.
I have a boy and a girls name now that I'm 'nearly' set on.
Aidan and Hazel. Dp likes both but has others he would choose over them. We will see.

BeautifulLiar · 30/09/2015 15:58

Ooh exciting Ginger!! I think yours is a girl. I like Hazel :) it's so different.

Rosieblossom123 · 30/09/2015 16:09

I love Hazel too! Dp loves unusual names so I think if it's a girl we're going to name her Cleopatra or Athena if a boy either Maximus or Atticus!
