started a new thread as the old one was getting full up. Thought I would post the link to stats here too so people can update if they want!

trinpy maybebabybee thepug docmcstuffins1 - congratulations on the scans and lovely pics.

Q - we are referring to ours as a boy too - if this carries on I will be very surprised if they are a girl. I have a feeling they are a boy but we won't be finding out either way until they arrive.
We say 'they' which some people have taken to mean more than one - it just seems nicer than saying 'it'.

treehousethunderstorm · 04/09/2015 12:36

gem - how annoying. They have a specialist person who prints photos?! doesn't sound like they are very good at there job! Shock

Does that mean that some other poor person has photos of your little one measuring 10 weeks, they would have been surprised as I was under the impression that the earliest you can get a gender scan is about 16 weeks but I could be wrong.

gemsparkle84 · 04/09/2015 12:40

Well I'm still hoping it was too early and that these are someone else's photos. Yes someone else probably has mine. Crap isn't it!

Rosieblossom123 · 04/09/2015 13:59

gem how frustrating, hopefully it's a mistake. I'd be fuming with them!

BeautifulLiar · 04/09/2015 14:36

Gem I'm fuming too!!

Just rang the hospital to see if my repeat scan has been sorted for next week yet as I urgently need to arrange childcare. The reply was "We can't tell you yet but unfortunately when we do tell you it will be short notice".

Then I got a letter in the post confirming my 20 week scan appointment. At 3pm. Apparently they only do anomaly scans between 3 and 4pm. Which is obviously school run time.

DH will miss all scans. Nice.

I'm tired and I've really had enough of this shit now. Fed up!

AdorabeezleWinterpop · 04/09/2015 18:09

I still haven't told my boss I am pregnant. Partly because I am scared to (newly promoted/missing exam period) and partly because I have had no chance. A few people have asked me though (I don't think I look pg Hmm so I must do it really soon...

gemsparkle84 · 04/09/2015 18:15

Beautiful that's crap! What a strange policy that they only do scans between those hours!

BeautifulLiar · 04/09/2015 18:45

I know!! Once a week as well! Did you sort Photogate? I'm pretty sure they weren't your pictures. 10 weeks is tiny... they really wouldn't be able to have close ups of penises! Haha.

Gingerlady123 · 04/09/2015 19:31

Omg. Results are in from the nuchal test they say 1:280 chance of downs !! I was so expecting 1:5 or worse. So happy.
Nuchal : 4.9mm: 3.87 mom
Frea beta hug level: 120.7: 2.99 mom
Papp-a: 5283: 2.26 mom
Nasal bone: present.
It doesn't mention t18 and t13 so can anyone say if I'm probably low risk based on Papp-a results as well? Would they be really low with those?
12 weeks today as well. I know we have a long way to go yet and we now have a 16 week heart scan and the 20 week anomaly scan but oh my gosh what a relief. Hope everyone else is ok

MouldyPeach · 04/09/2015 19:40

Hi everyone, I'm due March 10th and wanted to join in :)

Having a pretty rough pregnancy with HG and have spent way too much time in bed feeling sick and sorry for myself.

Had 12 week scan on Tuesday and all was fine, except sono had me doing a crazy dance to get baby to move as she couldn't get the nuchal measurement. Sadly no amount of dancing worked and we couldn't get the measurement so have had the quad blood test but I'm not sure if everyone gets that anyway?

Was never in any doubt about baby being ok really as I've been so very sick but was still a relief to see it kicking and squirming around (and that there's only one in there!).

Me624 · 04/09/2015 19:46

Ginger that's fantastic news. Are those odds high enough that you will be offered a CVS/amnio? I don't think they are, I think it's 1 in 150. You must be so relieved.

Gingerlady123 · 04/09/2015 19:49

They are not high enough. The screening said result: negative.
Such a relief. It only mentions downs but I assume this is t18 and t13 as well?
Next step is hoping fluid does not get worse (nhs scan next Wednesday) and the sixteen week heart scan.
I think me being 21 has bought risk down a lot.
The lady at the scan said I was automatic high risk because of nt being so high but she was wrong. Makes you doubt how often they are right and how accurate of an indicator the fluid is.

Gingerlady123 · 04/09/2015 19:50

Oh also got a letter today saying I'm not immune to rubella. Really strange as I've had the mmr vaccines as a child.

MyNameIsSuz · 04/09/2015 19:53

Brilliant news ginger! So does this mean you don't need any more tests?

Welcome Peach, I'm due on the 10th too, a good date I think Smile

ThePug · 04/09/2015 19:58

10th here too!

ginger that's brilliant. Will NHS repeat the screening too if that was done via a private scan?

Gingerlady123 · 04/09/2015 20:00

No more tests . Fingers crossed fluid levels out or gets better and fingers crossed babies heart, spine and organs are all ok.
They've beat the odds once I'm hoping it's just trying to tease us.
And here's my photo at 11+5 . Felt to sad to share it before but now I have a glimmer of hope that bubba might just be ok

Gingerlady123 · 04/09/2015 20:01

Hiya. If nuchal fold gets worse I will ask if they will. If not I don't think we will bother repeating it

shieldbug · 04/09/2015 20:12

Oh ginger so glad for the test results. No idea what they all mean, except the most important bit that says "negative"; what a relief it must be.

Sorry gem had to laugh a bit at your photo disaster. really hoping it gets sorted out soon. As others have said, can't possibly be your photos, so you still have a nice surprise to come.

I am officially in maternity clothes now and my bump is sooo big I look about 6 months gone (seriously) and even people who don't know me very well are confidently asking me when I am due (and then look confused when I tell them March!). Bless those fibroids!

IndomitabIe · 04/09/2015 20:18

That's fantastic ginger! So pleased Grin

BeautifulLiar · 04/09/2015 20:20

Omg Suz that's weird you should say that, I'm paranoid about being due on 10th March as I thought it sounded not very nice, like really harsh?! Do you think it's ok then? I'm slightly obsessed with dates haha. Not even sure when I am due yet!

Ginger that's brill and you sound much happier!!

Gingerlady123 · 04/09/2015 20:26

Thank you everyone.
of course we are still fearful the fold could get worse but its a lot more reassuring that even with that we screen negative. really upset they told us we would be automatic high risk and we are not. wondering if they mean low risk for t18 and t13 though as it says this

INTERPRETATION
Screening result : SCREEN NEGATIVE
Risk of Down's : 1 in 280 [at term]
Risk due to age alone : 1 in 1450

I was due march 22nd at scan at six weeks, march 19th at 9 week scan and now march 18th at latest scan.
still in normal clothes which are not tight yet and no bump yet.
anyone been told their placenta location. mine is anterior.

MyNameIsSuz · 04/09/2015 20:44

Haha beautiful, I'm just hoping it doesn't come on the 11th - SIL would kill me if I stole her birthday! I'm hoping for a couple of days overdue this time, ds came right on his due date and I wasn't ready, everyone said first babies are always late so I thought I had more time - I had plans that evening! He was a little on the small side though (we're just not big people, he's still little now and I'm 5'2") and I think it contributed to the problems we had feeding at the start, I'm hoping for 7lb or more this time, so if I can keep him in a little while longer I will Grin

I'm bumping a bit now too - have been struggling to suck in my stomach for a few weeks but yesterday it was all firm at the bottom, now it's firm a lot of the way up underneath the chub. I dug my maternity stuff out and have ordered a couple of pairs of jeans, which I cannot wait to put on!

MangoJuiceTillMarch · 05/09/2015 05:55

Aaaarrghh Angry

Woke up to use the toilet and now I'm wide awake. #FirstTrimesterProblems

marmitemofo · 05/09/2015 06:22

mango i feel your pain Sad sorry bit tmi but i've had really bad stomach cramps and diarrhea the past couple of days. The cramps were freaking me out at first as was worried something wrong with baby then realised it was my bowels. So been up since 5.30 in pain. pregnancy really plays havoc with my digestive system. Ive been taking fybogel in an attempt to keep things regular but not having any luck and now this Blush ugh. Not looking forward to another six months of uncomfortableness.

Absolutely knackered today what with waking up so early, and I was at a wedding reception last night and didn't get to bed till midnight. Also wedding is a four hour drive from where we live, so did that yesterday with DP and got to do it again today to get home [zzz]

Congrats on your scan results ginger must be a huge relief Grin

And hello to newbies Cake

Ps gem definitely wouldn't be your scan as iirc the penis hasn't even developed by 10 weeks. I assume the couple whose scan it is requested the penus picture - is it just me who thinks its a bit odd to request a scan picture close up of the penis? Feet or hand prints maybe but penis seems a little.. strange I guess (could just be me)
