started a new thread as the old one was getting full up. Thought I would post the link to stats here too so people can update if they want!

MyNameIsSuz · 02/09/2015 14:19

Thanks for the new thread marmite!

Sorry you're feeling crap Q, I'm struggling too. Working at home today as I have something to write, but can't focus on brain work and keep hopping over to the sofa!

marmitemofo · 02/09/2015 14:20

yep fourth thread haha we are a chatty bunch!

I'm definitely feeling you on the feeling crappy today front Sad I've basically done nothing at work since taking my lunchbreak at 12 - apart from procastinate on mumsnet Hmm

Thanks for the new thread marmite!

I haven't been on here in ages, been staying away from computers because they make my nausea worse.

Had another scan today, thought I was 13+5 but the measurement said just 11+6! Two weeks behind Shock The problem is that I'm pretty sure about my date because I used ovulation tests and temping. Does anyone know if this is something I should be worrying about? The doctor doesn't seem concerned but she just assumes I ovulated 2 weeks late, which I didn't.

On the plus side, there was a heartbeat and lots of dancing and moving around, maybe that's more important?

Me624 · 02/09/2015 14:22

Marking place on the new thread!

It's strange to be so far behind Joanna but if the doctor doesn't seem concerned then I wouldn't be. Are you sure you didn't ovulate again?

maybebabybee · 02/09/2015 14:24

place marking.

thanks marmite :)

maybebabybee · 02/09/2015 14:24

joanna when did you have a previous scan? How many weeks did they put you at there?

Poppins27 · 02/09/2015 14:25

Aw Q, sorry your feeling down, sometimes just having a good old cry/rant can actually work and make you feel better?!

I'm mainly place marking, not a lot to report, feeling a lot better (sorry q) having the occasional nauseous moment or 2 but in the whole OK. Tiredness is really kicking my butt however from lunchtime onwards!!
I'm trying to muster the energy to take my Dd to a toy shop, serves me right for the bribery tactic when she was facing her pre school jabs this morning!!!

Good luck all having scans today! Ginger I really hope you get some sort of reassurance.

BeautifulLiar · 02/09/2015 14:25

Thanks marmite :)

Sooo I had my scan, and it was rubbish. I'm very happy that my baby is ok, don't get me wrong. But it was so naughty!

It basically sat on its bum (think begging dog) and refused to move the whole time.

I got no measurements, no due date, no nuchal testing, no picture. Bearing in mind I'm already around 13 weeks so I've already waited an extra week.

The hospital I had my scan in is literally round the corner from my house. But they only scan once a week, and are full up this week and next. So the midwife has forwarded my details to the city hospital, which is 45 minutes away. Apparently they'll ring me "within a week" with a scan date. Even though I'll be 14 weeks next week!

I don't know how the hell I'm going to manage childcare either. I'll have one child doing a full day at school (this should be fine), one doing 9-3 in a nursery an hour away from the hospital, and one starting reception who will only be doing 9-11:30. What the hell do I do now?!

Stressed.

Rosieblossom123 · 02/09/2015 14:27

We are definitely a chatty bunch haha :)

marmite same here apart from being sick once today I literally haven't done anything haha I feel bad but I'm really struggling, I wish we could have power naps at work :(

maybebabybee · 02/09/2015 14:29

beautiful glad your baby was ok but rubbish that they couldn't do all the measurements etc!! How annoying for you.

I went out at lunchtime and bought a brie and tomato baguette - quite happy ate the whole thing and then suddenly remembered we're not supposed to eat brie. Poo. Now I feel really guilty :S

Rosieblossom123 · 02/09/2015 14:31

Beautiful your post made me smile, baby being naughty already haha bless you tho it's annoying in a way that you have to wait again :( I hope it's booked soon hun

JoannaZZ · 02/09/2015 14:32

Me624 I got my BFP two weeks after the smiley face on OPK, but that was just one day after conception according to the ultrasound dates...

maybe my last scan was at 8+4 and they dated me as 8+0 then. So I've gone from 4 days behind to 13 days behind.

I'm hoping it's just measurement error, or some temporary slow growth. As usual, I should have stayed away from google! Found this though, might be of interest for those who like pregnancy statistics: www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=pregnant+13+weeks+5+days

JoannaZZ · 02/09/2015 14:36

Haha beautiful I didn't even know the baby had to move around to get measurements! Mine was dancing around constantly, seemed like that made it difficult to measure but I guess they just need the right position and then they can pause it. Hope you don't have to wait too long until next time.

BeautifulLiar · 02/09/2015 14:40

He said it need to be laid on its back... it kept tucking its head into its chin and stuff so he said he was too at risk of underestimating how far along I am!

Definitely naughty. DH has now decided it's a boy (he thought our two daughters were boys too!). And at least I get an extra scan I guess...

Rosieblossom123 · 02/09/2015 14:46

Beautiful sounds like a boy haha that's true you get to see your little acrobat again :)

RhubarbAndMustard · 02/09/2015 14:59

Thanks for the new thread Marmite.

Hope you feel better soon Q. I'm getting frequent headaches but at least I'm off work for 2 weeks. Was going to drive to Wales tonight (5hours) but will wait till morning and headaches passed now.

Certainly sounds like a delightfully naughty baby Beautiful. You're going to have your hands full!

dobbythedoggy · 02/09/2015 15:10

Wow new thread!

After being awake since 3.30 this morning and attempting and failing to doze on the sofa when dh got in from work. I crawled into bed after throwing some lunch on a plate for dd. She's just woken me up two and a half hours later. Everything is soaked with dribble; duvet, pillows, sheet, matress, both shoulders of my nightee and a fair amount of my hair! Dribbling so much was one of the top things I was looking forward to stopping when pregnant with dd, think it will be top of the list again.

Smirkingpicnicbasket · 02/09/2015 15:14

Lovely shiny new thread! Can't believe how fast it moves!

I'm over emotional today. My favourite film as a child was Annie and I watched the new one on Saturday and have to say it was ok, a bit polished than the original but on the whole I enjoyed it, sat down to watch it with DD and just started blubbing at the montage of songs at the beginning! Dunno if it was nostalgia or the fact Annie was an orphan whose parenta left her but I really need to pull myself together! Soppy get!

TheNewMrsD · 02/09/2015 15:43

I had my first emotional outburst yesterday, I feel so sorry for my DH.

My SIL had an emergency CS at 35+5 yesterday due to high blood pressure. My DH wanted us to go see them both but I was really tired after being sick twice that morning and a really bad nights sleep. I went anyway. She SILs exP (babys dad) turned up so she took him to see the baby in Neo-Natal and he stayed for the entire visiting hour.... so we didnt see SIL. I obviously blamed DH then cried about being tired and wasting an hour at the hospital when I could have been in bed. I am a horrible person!

Trinpy · 02/09/2015 16:14

Hello, can't believe we're onto thread 4 already! Though I've noticed that the group is a lot less busy since the fb group got set up - which is a good thing imo; I couldn't keep up with the first thread!

I hope you are able to sort some childcare put for your scan Beautiful. I suppose you won't know what to plan for until they give you a date and time though. very stressful. Maybe the baby is just a very laid back person and will be one of those kids who sleep through the night from 6 weeks and never tantrum? Fx Wink.

Dating scans at 12 weeksish can be up to a week out (I think). 2 weeks sounds like a lot. They were 4 days out with ds and I had an argument with a mw who refused to believe that I could know when I ovulated Hmm.

My scan is tomorrow morning. It's also our wedding anniversary today so if all goes well we're going for a celebratory lunch afterwards Smile.

Gingerlady123 · 02/09/2015 16:21

Hi everyone had scan. Fluid measured 4.9mm compared to 4.5mm Saturday.
Was offered a harmony test but our card got declined on paying so we went for the combined test which will give us a risk factor of 1:5 1:100 etc. Harmony would of told us with about 92-99 per cent accuracy. Gutted we couldn't get that.
My choice is now a cvs or amino which is a needle into the uterus and carries risk of miscarriage. She then said to pester hospital for a 16 week cardio scan. All very doom and gloom really. Back to work tomorrow. We had booked these few days off as holiday and they've been ruined.
Thanks for asking everyone..

IndomitabIe · 02/09/2015 16:24

DSis was put back 3 weeks at her dating scan. Which meant she got her BFP before conception Hmm her DS eventually arrived just as she started leave, looking suspiciously overcooked. I think sometimes the measurements can be out.

I think I've done all the things I intended to do this summer in the last 24 hours. Just taken a heap of stuff to the recycling centre & charity shop. Feels good.

Still not started the school work though. (DS is sorted though).

marmitemofo · 02/09/2015 16:27

sorry to hear the measurement had gone up ginger. do you know when you get your bloods back and your risk factor?

really hope you find out soon and get some resolution Flowers

IndomitabIe · 02/09/2015 16:29

Sorry to hear that Ginger. I was so hoping the first scan was just badly done.

Yeah, that harmony test is crazy money. We couldn't afford it.

I think the risk of a CVS/amnio is quite minimal. And it sounds like a risk worth taking for you right now.

So, so sorry you're going through this.
