started a new thread as the old one was getting full up. Thought I would post the link to stats here too so people can update if they want!

Oh, is it a type of motorcycle? I know the village with the racetrack. It's very picturesque (the village, not the track/airfield).

My friends all had those trousers at uni, worn to denote one had been travelling and found oneself! I think they'll be a little less pretentious on a pregnant woman!

DreamingOfThruxtons · 02/09/2015 20:53

Yes, a type of motorcycle: lovely, lovely classic cafe racer style. Tried to link but am on an iPad and apparently it doesn't share my enthusiasm.

And yes- exactly what has always put me off those pants. Makes me itchy thinking about it, but when I am comfy I won't give a fig I'm sure. Do you not find your jeans dig in? Mine do when I sit down, even if I undo the fly (dangerous at work)...

Missdee2014 · 02/09/2015 21:18

Oh my goodness Beautiful, what a wee cheeky baby already! As long as all ok though.

Our wee baby was going crazy too, took the sonographer (is that right?) half an hour to get just the measurements for dates as he/she was using my bladder as a springboard and bouncing itself backwards and flipping over in every direction but the way she needed it too lol

Missdee2014 · 02/09/2015 21:19

Here's one of my pics, got 4 and they're all fab.

BeautifulLiar · 02/09/2015 21:31

Congrats Misdee, I'm so jealous! Mine just didn't budge. Very excited to get another scan though!

dobbythedoggy · 02/09/2015 21:51

lilmiss so sorry, there really are no words, thinking of you.

ginger hope your bloods come back quickly. Our friends had a very high measuement from their NHS scan, nothing was mentioned at the time and they only noticed it when going through scan notes after low risk results came back from her bloods. Hope your results are back quickly, was really impressed I had mind done friday morning and they came through the post the following monday.

mango when pregnant with dd the only way I surrived the exhaustion at work was to use my lunch break to nap. Sickness meant everyone I worked with knew by 5 weeks. I worked 11 hour days and was blessed to have an understanding manager who was happy for me to power nap in the staff room or put my head down on her desk and take breaks to eat at other times. She'd let me take slightly longer lunch breaks too.

AdorabeezleWinterpop · 02/09/2015 22:07

So sorry to hear that lil Flowers

treehousethunderstorm · 02/09/2015 22:38

I found you!

Sorry to hear your news lilmiss and ginger sorry you haven't had your mind put at ease yet.

Lovely news missdee and beautiful even without the measurements, mine turned sleepy too and refused to budge. Got letter through today ordering a quad test at 16 week appointment with midwife instead, won't get a rescan

BeautifulLiar · 03/09/2015 06:11

Oh treehouse that's annoying! I think it's because I literally got nothing, not even a due date so that needs to be sorted!

So who's having a scan next week again? I will hopefully be joining you.

DD1's first day at school today; I'm so nervous!

IndomitabIe · 03/09/2015 06:39

Morning! DS is starting today too. I'm not nervous for him, he'll love it. I'm slightly concerned at my ultra-emo-ness at the moment! I expect to cry at everything. Hmm

BeautifulLiar · 03/09/2015 06:49

Hahaha! Ultra emo ness!! Oh god I'm not nervous for her, she's very confident. Just meeee. Girls are so much more complicated than boys! Hello hairstyles and pinafores!

maybebabybee · 03/09/2015 07:46

Any scan buddies today? Mine is at 10.30. Bag of nerves!

IndomitabIe · 03/09/2015 07:56

Oh we have hairstyles! And he's wearing a tie!

Good luck maybe!

MangoJuiceTillMarch · 03/09/2015 08:26

Thanks jules & dobby I'll try and stock up on some snacks and see if I can sneak away somewhere for a 10mins power nap after lunch.

All these scans are so exciting, I'm due 29th March, so everything seems to be happening a little later for me. I'm 10+2 now, have my booking appt at 11+3 and still no sign of a scan date. Maybe I should call them to make sure they haven't forgotten about me??

BeautifulLiar · 03/09/2015 08:32

Mango I was booked in at 11+3 too! But I did get a scan date pretty early.

QforCucumber · 03/09/2015 08:48

beautiful mine is Monday afternoon, god knows how I'll get through a day at work beforehand, will be nervous all day.

Office is FREEZING today, but I am all alone so at least I can make it a slow and steady day, as long as I get everything I need to done I can do it at my own pace and mn away Smile

ThePug · 03/09/2015 09:29

I am officially coming out of the shadows and joining you having lurked for at least a month (if you'll have me after that admission?)!

Had my dating scan yesterday evening where I was put forward from 11+4 (I know when I ov'd) to 12+6! So EDD is now 10th March. We all love a scan photo so I've added mine - can't believe how baby-like it looks having seen basically a blob at an earlier scan 10 days ago!

DH & I are both 30 and are celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary today Smile This is our first baby, but I had a mc at 7 weeks in April and had to unceremoniously shuffle out of the December babies thread which is why I held off joining in here for so long. I know things can still go wrong but I am crossing everything that we'll have our baby in March.

Someone up-thread said they were Type 1 diabetic - me too! Which means I get lots and lots of consultant appts (and scans) and will be induced at 38 weeks, meaning baby will probably have a February birthday - but I don't want to be on the Feb thread as I'll be behind everyone!

I've read all your updates on sickness and count myself so lucky that I've had none of this, which is a good thing as would make managing my blood sugars very difficult. I do get the afternoon fog of tiredness though and have had several early evening naps!

Looking forward to joining in with the chat now rather than just reading it and commenting in my head like a lunatic!

TriJo · 03/09/2015 09:48

My booking appointment is at 12 weeks and scan at 12+3 - seems incredibly late for the booking appointment but they wouldn't change it when I asked them after I got put forward two weeks at my early scan. They did shift the scan back 6 days though, was originally supposed to be 17th September but it's now next Friday.

11+2 today - have been incredibly tired, more than before, the last couple of days.

marmitemofo · 03/09/2015 10:08

good luck with your scan today maybe

welcome thepug and congrats on your successful scan!

It's bloody cold today. I really wanted to work from home but DP is at an academic conference and needed my laptop to do work for an upcoming deadline. I don't have a deadline and my sole reason for wanting to work from home was laziness! so into my office I've come, almost an hour late Blush.

I feel like my sickness is gradually getting better though I still have horrendous waves of nausea and dry heaving every now and then. But I'm still just so tired. can't wait to start feeling more normal again.

MangoJuiceTillMarch · 03/09/2015 10:20

Fingers crossed beautiful, I'm definitely at the point of wanting to see baby again (had an early scan at 7+2). And good luck to everyone with scans today!

Im in an office full of men, the air con is blasting and I'm sat here with the biggest/thickest shawl wrapped around me. Kinda feels like a duvet and is making me feel a little sleepy.

I hate the cold, with a passion, but I seem to be seeing the beauty of everything at the moment.

Autumn means closer to winter, which means closer to March which means closer to baby Blush

MotherKat · 03/09/2015 11:07

Went to see midwife, the first (emergency) midwives appointment was awful (wouldn't listen, sold Avon halfway through), waited (as suggested) for my original appointment, she cancelled it by calling and leaving me a message (no message revieved, and I checked the number) but there's no record of her cancelling it on the doctors system. So I've been sat in the doctors surgery for an hour until I asked the receptionist what was going on. Really frightened, I keep losing weight, and throwing up, but I've gained 5 inches and I'm only 11+1 I feel like they just don't care, not all midwives are this awful are they?

marmitemofo · 03/09/2015 12:31

That sounds crap Kat and no, midwives generally in my experience are good, you always get a bad egg though , just sorry you've had to experience it.

If I were you in the short term I'd book an appt with GP about your weight loss if it's a concern, and try to get another appt with midwife. If you're really unhappy with MW can you request to change? I'd also have a moan at GP about MW.

For those of who who enjoy a coffee but are cutting back...

Whole milk in a mug in the microwave for 2 minutes.
Kenco decaf (heaped teaspoon)
Teaspoon sugar (or sweetener or none)

You have yourself one lovely milky coffee which is SORT OF good for you! My new fave!

QforCucumber · 03/09/2015 12:51

Ooo gem that would be lively if i liked coffee haha, do a similar thing for my hot chocolate though - always with all warm milk no water, just makes me want to nap.

I've only met my midwife once and she seemed lovely enough, think it'd definitely worth a discussion and seeing of you can change Kat last thing you want it to feel uncomfortable with her for the next 7 months.

my app says 190 days to go, that doesn't seem that far away at all. And I am in shock at people saying about 20 week scans being next month, it's crazy.

Just done a clubcard boost and for £20 worth of pizza express vouchers for £2.50 worth of clubcard points, will treat dp to tea tomorrow night for putting up with me (he doesn't have to know tesco are paying for it)

Smirkingpicnicbasket · 03/09/2015 13:01

Q that is such a good idea - I might do the same!

My experience of midwives has been really good although some can be a bit disorganised! I've not met mine and won't til 20 weeks but up here they have a shop which is staffed by local midwives so I can just pop in if I have any problems - I can even just pop in for the flu jab or my anti D injection - seems very informal but may be easy if I need to see someone quickly in the week!

Might try the milky coffee this afternoon - although will have to pinch DD whole milk or just have my semi skimmed!

Cannot get that picture of the Syrian boy out of my head! Had a good cry but now just makes me angry!
