started a new thread as the old one was getting full up. Thought I would post the link to stats here too so people can update if they want!

I haven't bought anything yet either, but did buy some fabulous wool today to crochet a little blanket Smile

Me624 · 23/09/2015 18:30

I haven't bought anything yet, but planning to start getting a few things after the 20 week scan in a few weeks. My mum told me that my gran who sadly died last year had made me a crochet blanket in anticipation of me having a baby! Shame she won't be alive to see it but it's lovely that the baby will have something made by its great grandmother.

BeautifulLiar · 23/09/2015 18:34

Oh Me that's really nice. I'd love to have my late grandma's name mixed in with this baby's somewhere.

I haven't bought anything yet. Not like me at all!

IndomitabIe · 23/09/2015 19:35

I'm only just 14 weeks but haven't bought anything either. I'm feeling pretty blasé about the whole thing really! I've even already arranged some KIT days I want to do while I'm off. Though I realise it might not work out like that!

We'll need to get some furniture, mainly to move DS into a big bed and the bigger bedroom. March seems a long time away still. (Autumn term always drags out).

IndomitabIe · 23/09/2015 20:11

Did someone mention stretching pains a while back?

I've just settled down (to work in front of Bake Off) and am really uncomfortable. It was similar yesterday. During the day, charging around, absolutely fine. But now, uncomfortable in my belly. A bit like when they're bigger and you get an elbow in the ribs (but lower and less definite). All I can think of is that it must be everything decompressing and stretching out.

Anyone had similar?

Trinpy · 23/09/2015 21:04

Congrats on finding out you're having a girl Beautiful!

I've just had a quick listen to my baby's heartbeat and it's 157 bpm. But...I'm sure I read somewhere that the thing about babies' heartbeats being different depending on their sex only happens after they're born. And I'm sure ds always had a very fast heartbeat when I was pregnant with him.

I dreamt last night that I had had a baby girl and I woke up this morning thinking 'fiiinally I can.sort through all those baby clothes in the attic!'. Very disappointing to realising that I've still got 6 more weeks to go. Very tempted to book in for an early scan in 2 weeks to find out...

MyNameIsSuz · 23/09/2015 21:35

I've been soooo uncomfortable Indomitable! I don't remember this with ds, I did have stomach muscles back then though. Taking my tights off as soon as I got in from work helped a lot, definitely need to sort through my clothes and move the small ones out of my drawers at the weekend.

AdorabeezleWinterpop · 23/09/2015 22:59

I haven't bought anything yet. I really want a new pram (have a Bugaboo Cameleon but it has been through our 2 DC and is looking a bit rough)!

Missdee2014 · 23/09/2015 23:15

Congrats Beauiful!! Delighted for you Grin

My best friend had a baby girl today!! Gutted I won't be able to get to see her til Friday due to other commitments tomorrow, got a sneaky pic tonight though and she's an absolute wee beauty Grin

shieldbug · 24/09/2015 00:21

Just spent over an hour catching up with this thread!

Congrats beautiful, glad things have worked out for the best for your ds.

Indom I have been getting a feeling like an elbow in my lower pelvis too, but I think it's pretty normal.

Rosie and Justtheone another date buddy for the 6th here!

Had my 16 week apt today and got a scan too due to being consultant care, although it was very quick as they were running 3/4 hr late. I had positioned ds2 in his pushchair where he could see, then the Dr blocked his view and ignored all my hints that he might let ds2 have a peek. Poor wee boy was v disappointed. Ds1 got a better view by poking his head in front of the screen. All seems well and the hb was strong, but baby was measuring 17-18 weeks, which is odd (all previous measurements have been spot on). Am now waiting for 20 week scan to find out what on earth is going on and if we should be worried or not. Might just be because it was all so rushed so he wasn't as accurate as he might otherwise have been. Dh is now finally letting himself get excited (he's been so worried about another mc), which is lovely to see.

MyNameIsSuz · 24/09/2015 07:49

Anyone else feeling really terrible in the mornings? I feel so tired I can hardly function Sad and all kinds of gross, and have no idea what will help me feel better. Wretched. Luckily I'm working from home today as I have a midwife appointment, once dh and ds leave I might sneak off to bed and write my report there. The worst thing is my mouth, it's so sore in the mornings!!

Smirkingpicnicbasket · 24/09/2015 08:54

I'm getting everything you girls are mentioning! Ssssooo grumpy and gross in the mornings, no sickness now just groggy and hungry, I'm exhausted most of the time and yes to being so uncomfortable and getting the sharp stabbing stretching pains!! What is going on in there? I didn't have this first time either but again I did have better core stength last time so everything was held in a bit tighter!!!
We've not bought much either, waiting to find out sex plus we are scrapping around for pennies at the moment so saving to buy things, the new pram will have to wait til the new year!

hayleycookie · 24/09/2015 09:33

Checking on this thread makes me feel so much better! I'm getting the rotten mornings too and was starting to worry it was just me! I literally cried this morning, just because I felt so tired and groggy!

Am I the only one who hasn't got a date for the 20 week scan yet? I'm 16 weeks today, with a midwife appointment Monday. Practically tapping my foot waiting for the letter!

Beautiful Congratulations on another little girl!!

I've bought a unisex onesie...because I HAD to buy something after the 12 week scan. Other than that I haven't bought a single thing! We're waiting til we find out the sex til we do the proper shopping :) It's frustrating that we could technically find out today!

MyNameIsSuz · 24/09/2015 09:46

Oh glad it's not just me! But sorry you're both feeling rough too.

That does seem to be cutting it a bit fine hayley, I'd ask your midwife on Monday, she might be able to ring them for you. I'm 16 weeks today too, I guess we must be due date twins!

hayleycookie · 24/09/2015 09:53

Suz I'm due on March 10th Grin Do you have a date for your scan? I'm hoping my midwife will just be able to look it up for me on Monday and give me a date. I'm dying to know!

marmitemofo · 24/09/2015 09:54

we also haven't done any shopping yet - I wanted to pick up some stuff at the NCT nearly new sale I went to last weekend but DP has banned me from getting anything until we know the sex! and if it's another girl I expect he won't want me to buy much anyway Hmm

I feel awful today. went to my first pregnancy yoga class yesterday which was nice, but I also had a 40 minute cycle in the morning, and I think I've pulled/strained my hip flexor muscle cycling as it was hurting me during the day and after yoga and overnight I've been in agony! then DD woke up at 5am screaming her head off saying her tooth was hurting Sad ended up giving her iboprufene and anbesol liquid and she calmed down but by then both me and DP were up for the day. so tired....

my 20 week scan is on the 20th October, I can't wait! My DD is almost 2 - is she too young to bring in to the scan (will they let her in?). The appt is at 4.15 which seemed fine when they offered it to me but then realised that they often run late and the scan takes a little while (though I can't remember how long?) and we need to be back at DD's nursery by 6pm latest to pick her up! I'm sure it's enough time as the nursery is only a 20 minute walk away but am somehow finding myself getting overly stressed about it and wonder if it'll be easier just to bring DD to the scan.

RhubarbAndMustard · 24/09/2015 10:13

Hayley I've got my scan date through (19th Oct) but haven't had my blood results back yet. Have you or Suz had these yet? I'm 16 weeks today too and have midwife on Monday. Grin
Hayley have you still got your hospital letter from your 12 week scan? Might be worth giving them a call to check its booked in. I only got mine through last weekend though.

MyNameIsSuz · 24/09/2015 10:32

I've got my scan on the 20th too rhubarb. Which blood test results are you waiting for, from the nuchal scan? I got my probability through quite soon after my scan.

hayleycookie · 24/09/2015 10:36

Rhubard Yes, I got my results back a few days after my scan. We're date buddies on everything so far so maybe my scan will be the 19th too! I do have the letter, but my last scan was at the hospital, and my next will be at my local midwife unit. Do you think they would have the same information at both? I might try calling them both later on and see if they have any news for me

RhubarbAndMustard · 24/09/2015 10:37

Hi Suz, yes the blood results from the nuchal scan. I've had nothing through yet. Will contact my midwife and see if she has them. Thanks!

TriJo · 24/09/2015 10:51

I nearly fainted on the tube on the way into work this morning, even started sliding towards the ground until a guy literally dragged me to his seat. Got a bit of a fright, but mostly ok now...

magpiedreams · 24/09/2015 11:29

Gosh tri, take it easy, hope you're ok now.

Checking in with what must be the last of the 12w scans before the 20w ones start soon! All well for me thank goodness and EDD unchanged from 28th March, don't think I have a due date buddy? Still reeling from paying £10 for pictures! Was mad with DH as he'd thrown away the ticket we bought last time when we had a MMC, told him we could've saved a tenner haha...he doesn't always share my dark humour.

I've got my 20w scan on Friday 13th Nov, I know someone said up thread about avoiding that date...I'm not at all superstitious, and they had so much availability in that date so lots of people must be avoiding it!

JoannaZZ · 24/09/2015 11:31

Congratulations beautiful, must be so exciting to find out!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who is tired in the mornings, I usually snooze until 8.30 (I'm on a very freestyle schedule atm) even when I go to bed at 11pm. Feels like I need at least 9 hours of sleep these days. Must be tricky if you already have kids!!

Does anyone else have a very strong sense of smell? I always have had, but now it's extreme. Not very pleasant either as it's mainly bad smells I can smell, like mould in the washing machine and car exhaust near roads.

ffaux I would leave the wisdom teeth if I were you, unless you have problems with them. Seems unnecessary to take them out. I'm not a dentist though. Smile

Rosieblossom123 · 24/09/2015 11:57

shield we are due date buddies indeed!

I'm feeling really crappy today, don't feel productive at all feel like telling my boss I just want to go home! :( Sickness has stopped thank god been nearly two weeks now so fx!

3 weeks until my 20 week scan, seriously getting impatient, want to start buying clothes. I'm thinking about buying a baby Doppler, anyone got one, would you recommend it?

MyNameIsSuz · 24/09/2015 12:30

Hopefully rhubarb, I just got back from my 16 week check and she had the results of my blood from the booking in appointment.

How scary trijo, have you been wearing your badge? Maybe it's time!

Just had my midwife appointment, all good and got to hear the heartbeat Smile she suggested I record it on my phone for dh so I made a lovely video of the wall! I remember reading upthread that over 150bpm is a girl and under is a boy... guess what, exactly bang on 150! Will just have to wait for my scan. I'm on a bit of a high now, I've been expecting the worst all the way through but it's just going so smoothly now.

Congrats on the scan magpie! I'd have been annoyed about the tenner too, dh optimistically tucked our tokens away in his wallet when I had my mmc and was gleeful when we had nothing to pay this time!
