started a new thread as the old one was getting full up. Thought I would post the link to stats here too so people can update if they want!

Definitely go Joanna. As marmite said it's free.
I'm going back a few pages now but koerderling (I think that's how you spell it) do a lovely alcohol free cider.
And for anyone worrying about where they are having their baby, I cried buckets when I was told I couldn't use the mlu with dc1 as I had gd. It really upset me. But when it came to the birth being on the main labour ward I'm convinced it was the right place to be as we being monitored and they picked up an issue straight away. Everything happens for a reason x

RhubarbAndMustard · 23/09/2015 11:40

Joanna I'm going to the dentist on Friday. It is a good idea to go, plus your Maternity Exemption card means it's free. Just tell them you are expecting as they will hold off on any x-rays.

RhubarbAndMustard · 23/09/2015 11:41

Sorry, hadn't read the later posts. Find it hard to use on my phone. When will the app be back?!

Me624 · 23/09/2015 11:47

Appointment was fine and I heard the heartbeat! Baby was not very cooperative and the midwife had to chase it round but we heard it a couple of times. She didn't tell me how fast it was though (it sounded very fast to me, but only compared to mine!) so no clues yet as to whether it's a boy or girl. Only got 3 weeks to wait though to find out!

JoannaZZ · 23/09/2015 11:49

I'm living abroad at the moment, which is a shame because a free dental check-up would have been awesome! Will have to pay for a private dentist instead, oh well... So those of you in the UK, take full advantage Smile

JoannaZZ · 23/09/2015 11:52

Great news me624! Don't think you can tell the gender from the heartrate anyway, I also heard about it somewhere but it sounds like a myth to me.

Jenbee1 · 23/09/2015 12:31

If the heartbeat sounds like a train boy galloping horses a girl

Rosieblossom123 · 23/09/2015 12:59

jules I hope you're right I secretly want a girl haha but I'll be so happy too if it's a boy :)

Just Yep we are due date buddies :) You're scan is only a few days after me, tell me about it i'm getting sooooo impatient :( I'm glad I heard baby's heartbeat on Monday because it just reassures me that everything is okay :)

Me good luck today with your 16 week app, 16th October needs to HURRY UP!! My baby's heartbeat on Monday was 137bpm which from the heartbeat theory means a boy but from my scan picture my baby's nub looks like a girl one and I'm so convinced i'm having a girl we'll see!

Oh and regarding maternity wear I love ASOS and I found a maternity wear website called purpless, it's a bit cheesy but so cheap for leggings and jumpers and so comfy!!

BeautifulLiar · 23/09/2015 13:18

My baby's heartbeat was 154 bpm...

IT'S A GIRL!!!

So happy. Me and DD2 went shopping today and met DH for lunch... I kept Willow out of her pram in preparation for the baby and she has been fantastic... bought her a few girly things... so excited to have another excuse to buy things that sparkle! And I've still got DS to balance me out ;)

I did the pic of gender scan in a card idea and filmed DH's reaction opening it. He's gone back to college and I just watched the video (on my phone!) and it's got me so emotional.

I never make videos - is there any way I can make sure we can keep that forever?!

Sorry this is so self absorbed and I haven't answered anyone... still in the restaurant!

Rosieblossom123 · 23/09/2015 13:27

Yay Beautiful :) so happy for you, you knew all along it was a girl too!! I normally upload videos to my laptop and store them on there. Amazing news, you're making so excited to find out now!! Grin

Dp just thought of an idea yesterday, he said why don't we get the person doing the ultrasound write the sex on a piece of paper without telling us then meet up his parents and let his mum open the letter and reveal it, I thought it's a nice idea but I wanna see the private bits on the scan so really don't know what to do!! Confused

Gingerlady123 · 23/09/2015 13:28

So happy for you beautiful. So that's 3 girls and 1 boy? I would back it up to two different usb sticks.
I'm tempted by a 16 week gender scan but I can't help but think what if they say girl and then it's boy at 20 week scan or the other way around. I know mistakes are rare but I'm a bit scared about it being to early to tell.

RhubarbAndMustard · 23/09/2015 13:36

Congrats Beautiful! I can't wait to find out now.

sherazade · 23/09/2015 13:37

Congrats beautiful!! So it's one nil to team pink haha

Rosieblossom123 · 23/09/2015 14:05

I think someone else here was having a girl, was it ffauxlivia just saw it on the excel form.

TriJo · 23/09/2015 14:29

By nub theory my DH is absolutely convinced we're having a girl - I'm in the "wait and see at 20 weeks" camp.

ffauxlivia · 23/09/2015 14:32

yep it's me - found out at 12 weeks lol. Was just coming on actually to say congrats beautiful!! I was a bit worried about having a girl at first but coming round to it now and excited :)

I don't have free dental work either Joanna - over here they are obsessed with taking out wisdom teeth so dentist made me make an appointment for right after baby is born to have all 4 taken out ........ erm yeah we'll see about that! Or maybe I will be less afraid of pain after giving birth?!!

Me624 · 23/09/2015 15:14

Congrats beauiful lovely news.

Jen I have no idea if the heartbeat sounded more like a train or a horse! Haha. I have a feeling it's going to be a girl but we'll see, I can't wait to find out!

Rosieblossom123 · 23/09/2015 15:24

Tri same here we're so convinced it's a girl by the nub theory because it's so clear but all we can do now is wait!

Me624 · 23/09/2015 16:07

I've never managed to understand the nub theory. Whenever I look at people's threads on it I have no idea what they're all looking at!

marmitemofo · 23/09/2015 16:12

congrats Beautiful Grin

I'm still convinced mine is a boy. I have no idea why. Just one of those things! I tried to look for a nub in my 12 week scan pic, but couldn't really see it and since I was actually 11+5 I think it might have been a bit early anyway?

Got my 16 week appt on Friday afternoon - DP is coming with me so hoping they do check the HB or he is going to be very bored!

BeautifulLiar · 23/09/2015 16:32

Thanks everyone, so excited. Yep Ginger 3 girls and a boy. Our boy is currently being assessed for autism, I didn't want to mention this before but we'd only just made a new bedroom for him when I got pregnant - he does need his space and can be quite anti social so I was quite worried about him potentially sharing.

Dumb question but how do I get a video from my phone to the laptop/usb stick?!

BeautifulLiar · 23/09/2015 16:33

I still can't get over the fact my DH will have three daughters. He's only 24 bless him. He's very happy though... and I'm sure it will be character building, ha!

sherazade · 23/09/2015 17:10

I wonder if we'll end up with three daughters too! Can't wait to find out . Has anyone started baby shopping ? I said I wouldn't till 20 weeks but my pile of baby things is creeping up Blush so far have
Medela swing pump and new medela bottles handed down by my sister
Baby Bjorn hand me down carrier but I really want a caboo!
Newborn cardigan I bought from gap and 0-3 cardigan my mum bought me ( neutrals )
2 pack of gro swaddles ( neutral) bought new
2 miracle blanket swaddles that my dds wore which I then handed to my sis who has handed back to me- after so many washes they're looking a bit rough but I can't bear to part with them !
Mamas papas Moses basket and stand - gift - new
Multi mam Breast compresses and hydrogel nipples pads - a must have for every breastfeeding
without the horror of sore nipples
feeding pillow I bought as ex display from eBay
Seem to have a lot of things but my list looks barely ticked !
I highly recommend the shantala baby bath which is like a tummy tub type thing- both my kids loved it and made bath time and enjoyable breeze so will be purchasing one of those !

MyNameIsSuz · 23/09/2015 17:12

Ahh congratulations Beautiful!

I've got my 16 weeks appointment tomorrow, all being well I shall be checking out the heart rate for the theory I saw earlier in the thread that over 150bpm means a girl! Nub theory mystifies me too, but I dug out my pictures for a look after seeing a good explanation, and none of them show the right bit anyway. Have to wait until the 20th to find out!!!

vroc81 · 23/09/2015 18:10

Congrats beautiful for some reason I'm convinced were having a boy but have no founding for that whatsoever!!

I've got my 16 week appointment tomorrow too! I've not bought anything yet, this is unusually refrained for me as I am usually a shopaholic but going to visit my sister next week so might do a little bit then, also going to check out anything I want to borrow.. Less than my mum thinks I will be having off my sister (nephews 18 months) and she's quite convinced I won't need to buy anything... Angry I thought I might borrow the boring stuff and save the more fun shopping!
