started a new thread as the old one was getting full up. Thought I would post the link to stats here too so people can update if they want!

That sounds tough on you all Beautiful. Will his hours calm down a bit once he's fully trained or are the long hours just part of the job? Do you have any support from friends or family living nearby when he's away?

That's such a weird coincidence Indomitable! Have you got the mn scarf? If not just carry a packet of pom bears and I'll know it's you. Is your appointment morning or afternoon? Mines in the afternoon. Glad the bleeding has stopped now too.

BeautifulLiar · 19/09/2015 15:15

Yeh loads of times but he just says he hates it too and he has no choice. Kinda stings though cos he absolutely loves his job. The money's ok i suppose. Weirdly we don't actually live together at the minute (long story). But like you should be very soon :)

I'm impressed that you're going to the gym! I've never stepped foot in one.

BeautifulLiar · 19/09/2015 15:16

The long hours are all part of the job! They won't even give him a work van so he can't get home early even if he wanted to :(

IndomitabIe · 19/09/2015 15:34

Trinpy mine's 9am. I'll be the one sitting looking like a middle-aged student wondering whether to make eye contact. It'll be weird, won't it, if we're there at the same time.

I've had my hair cut today. It was lush, I feel like me again! (Even though it's not really an acceptable 'do' for a 34 year old professional mother or (nearly) two). Ah well! It's not North Korea!

BeautifulLiar · 19/09/2015 15:55

Ahhh Indom I'm sure it looks beaut! I've been having mine dip dyed.

IndomitabIe · 19/09/2015 16:12

I really want some of the amazing colours I've seen (blue and lilac?) but, not sure they'd let me keep my job too!

Me624 · 19/09/2015 16:27

Ah ThePug mine is only in Dublin so luckily no jet lag to contend with - and I'm only here for the weekend, not a whole week! It is quite a shame though to be in Ireland - a drinker's paradise - and not be able to have a drink!

Herewegoagain31 · 19/09/2015 16:55

Just another call in case any more Facebook users want to be added to the Facebook mumsnet group?! I'll keep checking in for a bit longer to see PM's but won't keep hassling! We're always here and I think quite a few are doing both but just in case anyone else interested. I promise it is soo much easier to keep up with and actually much more private as pictures posted etc can't be seen by everyone on the Internet. I think most of the mumsnet antenatal groups end up on Facebook because of its benefits and the Facebook groups keep going for years after babies are born - i was honestly sceptical of changing across myself when I was on my DD's mumsnet thread a couple of years ago - I didn't even know what a Facebook group was! - but it is brilliant and we're all still there now over 2 years later and I know many other ones are the same. Anyway, I'll stop the hard sell but in case anyone was wavering please come and join and see what it's like because it'd be lovely if we were all together - and you can always leave the Facebook option if it's not your thing! But i promise you'll be won over ;)

BeautifulLiar · 19/09/2015 17:15

I don't have Facebook :(

And I REALLY miss alcohol!!

TriJo · 19/09/2015 17:19

Me I have 9 days in Ireland with my hard-drinking family over Christmas, that's going to be fun...

I actually don't miss alcohol as much as I thought I would. It's strange really!

BeautifulLiar · 19/09/2015 17:43

I didn't miss it at first, but do now. I'm ordering a curry tonight, but it's not the same without some alcohol on the side :(

MyNameIsSuz · 19/09/2015 17:47

I can also add people to the Facebook group of you pm me. It doesn't have to be either or, I'm on both and not planning to ditch the mn group!

JustTheOneThanks · 19/09/2015 17:50

Afternoon all, mind if I join? Smile

Expecting first baby on 6th March which makes me 15+6 today, can't believe I will be 4 months tomorrow, where does the time go?! I am hoping that the baby comes a day early as 6th March is Mothers Day and I don't want to wait a whole year to celebrate it for the first time Wink Grin

I am also rhesus negative and having an anti-D injection at 28 weeks if anyone has any wise words/been through it before.

MyNameIsSuz · 19/09/2015 18:05

Welcome just! Good to know about mother's day, I might try to give birth a few days early...

blondiejess1982 · 19/09/2015 18:07

Hey ho guys
Well I did my gym session and it caused my sugar level to go low so scoffed some Pringles and grapes. Grrrrrrr!!!!!!! I am going out for dinner tonight too. I am going to be obese very soon at this rate!
I miss red wine. God I fancy a glass so badly.. It's making my mouth water..
I would love to be added to the Facebook group, how does it work? No one will see I have joined will they? Not planning on doing the whole Facebook announcement until next week.

MyNameIsSuz · 19/09/2015 18:24

It's a secret group Blondie so nobody will see you've joined or be able to search for it. Pm me your email address and I'll search for you and add you Smile

RhubarbAndMustard · 19/09/2015 18:42

I'm rhesus neg too JustTheOne and had the injection with DS. It's fine. Just like any other injection.
I'm also another one without DP for a few weeks. Luckily my sickness has gone or it would be very hard. No gym/healthy eating for us tonight. We got a Dominos. Smile

RhubarbAndMustard · 19/09/2015 18:46

Oh and DS has fallen asleep at 6:30pm. This is very early for him. Think this is going to be another bad night!

IndomitabIe · 19/09/2015 18:54

Oh dear Rhubarb, hope he sleeps through and even has a bit of a lie in (we can hope?!). DS has also gone to bed early. He's tired and we fed him slightly too late so it all went wrong.

We're about to have a curry too. DH came home with a big bottle of Cobra. I might have a shandy so weak it'll be lemonade with a hint of IPA! I'm not a big drinker at the best of times, I'd normally only have a shandy anyway.

Trinpy · 19/09/2015 19:26

Ah mines not until 3.30 indomitable so we won't meet in the waiting room after all Sad. Shame, I would've loved to see your new haircut!

I hope you have a good night tonight Rhubarb and that ds sleeps through. It's hard being pregnant and having a toddler (or more!), isn't it? I got a grand total of 3 hours sleep last night thanks to my ds. I've been feeling very emotional today as a result and I keep worrying that I won't be able to cope as my pregnancy progresses and when the baby comes.

IndomitabIe · 19/09/2015 19:41

Ah, Trinpy. It'll be grown out and rubbish looking by then anyway!

AdorabeezleWinterpop · 19/09/2015 21:42

Hello. Not been on here for ages! So, so busy with school - already having to make plans about what will happen when I am off!

Started to feel little wiggles, which is lovely (almost 16 weeks, DC#3).

20 week scan is on 26th Oct and I have an appt the next day to discuss delivery.

Off to catch up with older posts now Smile

marmitemofo · 19/09/2015 22:06

That sounds tough beautiful. DP has been away twice since I got my bfp and i've struggled so much!

Blue or lilac sounds cool indomitable - my work attire is pretty laid back but I can't really get away with crazy hair in my job which makes me sad as I've always been adventurous with my hair! Since I'm taking 9 months leave I've planned to put blue in my hair - either blue streaks or blue dip dye. And then will just go back to having sensible hair when I go back to work!

My friend is due her first baby in November (actually has the same due date as my DD!) And shes just told me shes planning a home birth. I think it's very brave for a first birth! I didn't have the heart to tell her I know not one person who had a straightforward first birth! Thought it would sounds kinda patronising Confused I'm leaning towards having a home birth this time - just have to work out where in my house I'd do it - anyone with any experience know how big a room is needed? My front room is quite small and I can't imagine giving birth in it but my bedroom is a bit bigger so maybe there?

I don't actually have blue and purple hair, I just wish I did. It's actually a very sensible brown. (Boo).

I've finally found some reasonably priced nice shaped maternity trousers on Vertbaudet. I had resigned myself to squeezing into my normal work trousers or wearing hideous boot cut affairs from many years ago, but then I found blue maternity chinos. They've got a 20/30% off thing going on at the moment too. They had good tops too but I can wait till after pay day for them.

Beautiful it does sound tough with your DH working away. I couldn't manage it. And especially as you're still feeling ill.

I'd consider a home birth this time if we didn't have a MLU practically at the end of the road. They've got someone else to clean up and a massive birth pool! (And resus equipment and an ambulance transfer hotline. Which I had to use last time).

IndomitabIe · 19/09/2015 22:21

From Pinterest. Look how cool she is. I wish I was that cool!
