Curly, so glad I'm not alone! I've been relying on 4Head (stick you smear on forehead) and cold packs so far- not even touched the sides Sad

CalypsoLilt · 28/08/2015 12:50

MADSAZ and bites update

Went to the doctors today as the bites are definitely spreading/merging.

He looked very concerned about me having a bleed under my skin caused by low blood platelets. I've had 2 rounds of blood tests and he will phone me over the bank holiday if the results are bad.

He told me not to worry..... so I'm now going to google it and worry myself stupid over the long weekend. I think I need a lie down hahahahahahaha kidding x

CalypsoLilt · 28/08/2015 13:00

oh shit I really shouldn't have googled this :(

BananaRaces · 28/08/2015 14:35

Calypso I'm sorry you're having such a worrying time. Try not to Google any more or cross any bridges before you come to them (easier said than done I know). I'll be thinking about you over the weekend. I hope you get good news.

I've got my Amnio on Tuesday so I'm going to have a nervous few days too, I'm going to my Mum's for the weekend to try to take my mind off it. Can you do something to distract yourself?

Big un-Mumsnetty hugs to you. Flowers

overreactionemoticon · 28/08/2015 15:18

Charlotte I didn't show til much later with the first two, I remember having massive bump envy.

I'm also really excited about baby, but also don't want to wish the pregnancy away because for all its downsides it is still a very special time.

Insomnia is killing me, I always struggle anyway but pregnancy seems to stop me sleeping at all. I'm so tired but go to bed and only sleep for 2-3 hours max then am awake all night. Maybe this is why my babies have never slept!

overreactionemoticon · 28/08/2015 15:23

Calypso try not to panic. Easier said than done I know. I always Google for reassurance then end up panicked.

Can someone update my edd on stats please? Is now 14/2 (along with a large number of us!). Can't get it to work on phone and DC have monopolised laptop.

BananaRaces · 28/08/2015 15:32

Changed it Over, we've got the same EDD!! Smile

jellypi3 · 28/08/2015 16:21

calypso step away from Google!! I know it's easier said than done.

overreactionemoticon · 28/08/2015 20:12

Yay another girl Grin

BadgieBear · 28/08/2015 20:15

Congrats jelly what a lovely scan pic!

Calypso Dr Google is a dangerous friend...it's always full of horror stories and half-answered questions. I hope you haven't stressed yourself too much.

Wishing you a busy and distracting weekend banana, I'll be thinking of you.

BananaRaces · 28/08/2015 20:22

Thanks ladies. I hope you all have lovely weekends. Smile

Tiredoftiredness · 28/08/2015 20:37

Lovely clear pic jelly!

Scan not til 25th sept haq - seems a long time!

Hope everyone's got nice plans for the BH weekend? All I want to do is crash on the sofa but busy busy busy!

Phoenix80 · 28/08/2015 21:54

We're scan buddies tired mine is at 9am so that'll mean ds 1&2 will have to go into school breakfast club and we'll have to fight rush hour traffic to get to hospital by 9. But at least we don't have to sit about waiting all day for the appointment like our 4pm 12 wk one lol.

Yay for your girl jelly Smile

Hope everyone has a good weekend x

madsaz76 · 28/08/2015 22:11

calypso Google is particularly useless as there is a very wide differential. Most of this turns out to be nothing - honestly - I have seen loads.

If you had bloods today and the platelets were abnormal enough to cause this then the lab will have someone ringing you even if the GP shut. Certainly in our place that's what would happen.

Usual red flag stuff applies - if you feel ill, get any unexplained bleeding etc then go an get checked out over weekend. But common things being common it will probably be fine

goldmaple · 29/08/2015 00:56

I finally reset my password...

Yay! Lots of due date buddies! I usually go a bit early so I'm not expecting the 14th! What was conception date? Was a busy nightGrin

jelly congrats on team pink.

monk I have been getting migraines as well. And my nose is super stuffy Too. I'm waiting for the heart burn to really kick in...

calypso try not to worry. stop googling:)

My DH is coming home tonight!! He has been gone for work for two weeks. I wonder what he will think of my impressive bumpWink

jellypi3 · 29/08/2015 07:43

Yah gold! I couldn't cope not seeing my DP from 2 weeks.

I'm so glad I booked the private scan, seeing jelly baby on the screen was amazing and now I'm really excited for my next scan. Also feels like we are drawing closer and closer to the 24 weeks which is great :)

Sorry to those of you struggling.

clara thanks so much for the links- I may well be spending a decent portion of the bank hol online mat gear shopping.

To the headache sufferers- I've been having quite regular and very annoying headaches which the midwife thinks is caused by low blood pressure. I was already drinking a ridiculous amount of water but since topping up on the squash/brews even more the headaches have definitely improved. I think my blood sugar drops quite quickly too as I also feel ropey if I haven't eaten for a couple of hours.

over totally sympathise with the insomnia issue. I've been on reduced hours at work the last six weeks (drs fit note). Two hours sleep and a lengthy commute etc was doing very bad things to my mind. I sleep a lot better when I haven't scheduled loads to do in the days/evenings and eating small meals often has helps, and Pilates. You've prob tried that lot already but thought would mention just in case.

Love the scan pics and gender reveals. 20 week scan is two weeks on Monday for us- can't wait to find out!

Spanoo · 29/08/2015 08:46

Just catching up with everyone's news and want to wish everyone a good weekend! Enjoy being reunited with the DH gold.

Hope those worrying have a relaxed as possible weekend. Do whatever helps.

I'm still feeling a little rough - actually I've had a terrible last week with symptoms - nausea, fatigue, and heartburn but now with headaches thrown into the mix! And still can't stomach veg! But I'm a little behind most of you as due right at the end of Feb.

Take care everyone!

NorthernChinchilla · 29/08/2015 10:42

Doing this on the mobile site now the app has been disabled so hope it goes well....Confused
Congratulations on your girl jelly that's lovely, and take it all looked well?
My scan isn't til the 8th October so a fair wait yet.

Bank holiday of feeding ducks, catching up on housework and seeing family, so pretty trad!

IslaMann · 29/08/2015 10:49

For those of you who are missing being able to access the MN app on your phones, dont forget we have a FB group too, which can be accessed on your phone. If anyone wants to join us, PM me with your FB name, and a description of your profile and cover photos. I'll then send you a friend request (please make sure your settings allow this). Once you've accepted it, I can add you to the group. You are then free to delete me as a friend, if you wish.

XingXingFox · 29/08/2015 13:20

Congrats jelly on your girl!

calypso and banana really hoping this weekend passes quickly for you, and that all is okay.

I bought my first babygro yesterday to celebrate 16 week Smile

I've also been getting terrible headaches which paracetamol doesn't shift and still occasionally have violent sickness episodes. I'm definitely feeling it much more second time around, and am a bit tired of feeling so awful all the time. My blood pressure is always on the lower side so I wonder if it's that?!

So jealous of all the scans!

monkerina · 29/08/2015 13:33

Lovely pic Jelly!

I've always had low blood pressure, and it's just dropped further with pregnancy- midwife wasn't sure how I was still standing up at around 85/70 for booking appointment. Maybe that's it?

madsaz76 · 29/08/2015 14:03

Sat at the hairdressers which has suddenly become torture. It smells. It's hot. The sofas to sit on are making my back ache. It's noisy.

I think i am turning into an old lady :(
