Banana glad to hear you're ok, I am similar in that I cried loads when we first got the blood results, then was ok with the odd wobble, was pretty relaxed about the procedure itself and then was shaking like mad when she rang with the results.

Isla hope the quad results are good.

Had 16 week appointment this morning, heard the heartbeat again (didn't tell her I'd already heard it with my Doppler). No more appointments til 28 weeks now which seems forever.

Charlotte I am shocked that you aren't getting more help. It takes a lot to admit to anxiety and to ask for help so I am really angry for you that the gp isn't offering it. Hopefully everything is ok with the cord.

Rufus I have always been a bit dismissive of 3d/4d scans but having seen your picture I now want one!

rubybloom2 · 26/08/2015 15:08

Hi everyone, newbie to the group here. I'm 16+2 and just heard the heart beat at MW appointment this afternoon. So wonderful and surreal, especially as I wasn't expecting to get to hear it!
Still not really showing through, just look like I've eaten too many pies ;-)

CalypsoLilt · 26/08/2015 15:30

hi ruby!!! Love that name so much but it doesn't go with OH surname!! Lovely news that you heard the heartbeat :)

clarabellski · 26/08/2015 15:49

You found us ruby, welcome! We have a stats sheet (link in the first post of the thread) if you want to find out a bit more about us or add your own stats.

My 16wk appointment this morning was uneventful. BP and PeePee normal see what i did there?!?.

I got to meet my named midwife who was lovely. Will see her again at 22 weeks (assume more regular than over because first baby?). She might even have something to measure by that point. It's just bloat for now.

I feel for you banana, that is some impressive boobage! I'm normally a 34DD but suspect I've gone up to a 36DD (holding off on buying new underwear for as long as I can). But its all relative as I'm 6ft so my boobs don't look that impressive.

XingXingFox · 26/08/2015 17:57

madsaz that's impressive! I've put on about 16lbs but seems to have stabilised...last time it was like this and then another 1.5 stone on last trimester.

Rufus200 · 26/08/2015 18:08

Not sure if anyone wants one but get a free baby on board badge at this link

CarShare · 26/08/2015 18:44

Hi everyone,
Another new addition- I'm 16+5- first pregnancy, am 32 and live in SE London.

Being winter preggo's, I wondered if anyone has done any autumn/winter coat research? Seraphine has some nice but fairly pricey options on their website but haven't seen much else out there yet (very sorry if this has been covered on previous thread, stumbled across this by chance and not sure where the past ones are lurking!).

Ruby- also look like I've eaten far too many pies (and the rest) can't wait to have an actual bump!

overreactionemoticon · 26/08/2015 18:56

Clara yes it's only such a long wait for me because it's not my first and because the other two were straightforward. However the consultant may still want to see me because of my low papp-a so I might get another appointment after the 20 week scan (all depends on how the placenta and cord are looking as well as baby's growth)

madsaz76 · 26/08/2015 19:00

Calypso

They could just be reactions to bites. However that appearance is described as purpura and is usually associated with damage to small blood vessels. Bites can cause it but so can other things.

I'd ignore if definitely associated with bites in a non-pregnant young person, but for a pregnant lady would want to at the very least dip your urine and make sure that was ok.

Also if you get any new blotches that's a definite "see doctor" as occasionally it can be associated with issues with your bloods count or pregnancy. Therefore seeing a pharmacist pretty useless as they wont have knowledge or experience of these things.

IN summary - it's liely to be damage to small blood vessels from reacting to a bite, but a purpuric rash in pregnancy should at least be seen by a qualified medical practitioner Smile

madsaz76 · 26/08/2015 19:02

oh and sorry XingXingFox didn't mean to ignore you! Have been admiring my bump - I haven't put a lot of weight on but my abdominal muscles are clearly pants and I still look like I am 26 weeks. The background to this is a 3 stone weight loss over 6 moths prior to pregnancy so my belly just happily going back to where it was....

Expecting weight to snowball now.

clarabellski · 26/08/2015 19:58

Hi carshare welcome!

There was some chat about coats in one of the previous feb threads. I did a search and you can find them here: www.mumsnet.com/SearchArch?mustmatch=coat&dontmatch=&nickname=&src_displ_option=s_m_d_m&fromDate=01%2F07%2F2015&toDate=25%2F08%2F15&topicmode=chs&chosentops=2290 assuming this link works. otherwise just do your own search for coats and limit it to the antenatal clubs topic and date range from start July til today.

I'm around 5 lbs lighter than when I got my BFP Confused. Think it is combo of not having same appetite during first trimester nausea and not being able to eat what I normally would now in 2nd trimester without getting heartburn its absolutely nothing to do with not having my usual 2 bottles of wine a week What I eat has shifted though. I want to eat lots of dairy (cheese mostly) and I'm not fussed about bread as much. My arteries won't be thanking me...

CurlyA · 26/08/2015 21:40

Hi everyone

Another newbie joining today.
I'm 16+2, age 33 (for 2 more weeks!), first baby. Live in Manchester. Can't seem to add to the stats sheet on my phone.

Madsaz, similar for me with the weight loss pre pregnancy (although not 3 stone! That's amazing!) so now just looking back to my old body shape again. Can't wait for a bump. Keep thinking I'm getting one then realise it's just bloat! Hmm

Still waiting for the 2nd tri glow to happen!! Any 2nd, 3rd, 4th or more time Mum's out there.. Is it a myth??

goneswimming · 26/08/2015 21:44

Hi curly I'm a first timer but I think it's a myth Sad I'm 14 weeks and according to my book (!) I'm now no longer feeling sick, but glowing, and people will notice my increased energy and great skin. (I vomited more today than the entire 13 weeks preceding. Go me.)

CurlyA · 26/08/2015 22:16

Gone, poor you! That sounds really rough. Hope the sickness buggers off soon!
No sickness here (v lucky I know) I feel just as tired as I did in the first tri though. Poss going to bed even earlier now!

RattyCatty · 27/08/2015 07:01

Welcome curly car and ruby

I think it's a myth too - I'm so spotty at the moment!

banana thinking of you

CalypsoLilt · 27/08/2015 08:58

Welcome all the newbies!

bites update pharmacist says it nothing to worry about, but after reading the post from madsaz I might just pop to the doctors tomorrow.

I'm 15+4 and I'm only just starting to feel like my energy is coming back - not that I've hit the gym or anything, I've just been cleaning the house ;)

Here's my bump photo from yesterday, sorry about all the mess in the background, still unpacking from the weekend.

February 2016 - Boobs are growing, sickness is going, and some of us are finally showing!!
haquoi123 · 27/08/2015 09:07

Morning all! Welcome newbies! That's a great bump calypso! I've decided to embrace the bloat as baby bump, there's no getting away from it. Discovered the joy of Rennies yesterday though, oh my! How did I come to those so late?

I'm definitely feeling better, but have been suffering with headaches, slight dizziness and slight nausea. Also trying to fight off a cold :( supposed to be going to a music festival, camping woo... Envy! My waterproof trousers aren't going to fit any more either :s

16+5 today!

SweetCharlotteRose · 27/08/2015 09:21

17 weeks today and still being sick and still no sign of a bump!

SweetCharlotteRose · 27/08/2015 09:24

Oh and still not much movement really although the placenta is mainly at the front so maybe that's why. Sometimes I can feel her at night but not at all in the day really. Still she was ok at my scan on Tuesday and my Doppler reassures me that she's still there.

RattyCatty · 27/08/2015 09:53

Amazing bump photos! I just look bloated - hope baby is growing as I'll be 18 weeks on Sunday and am a lot smaller than these beautiful bumps! Confused

MaryEllen1 · 27/08/2015 11:25

Hey, newbie here (although have lurked a little) tried to post the other day when the site was up and down so don't think it posted. I am due 28 Feb so am nearly at 14 weeks, am 35 and this is my first :)

clarabellski · 27/08/2015 11:58

Welcome MaryEllen and congratulations Flowers

You might end up with a wee leap year baby!!!

AbFab86 · 27/08/2015 12:36

Haven't been on for a very long time (spent the summer travelling about - ace timing morning sickness!). I'm now back 'home' in Dubai and dreading going back to work next week. I'm not feeling sick any more but I'm knackered all the time. No idea how I'll get through full teaching days! School days start at 7:45am here and the powers that be have decided to cancel half term in October. Again, good timing! Shock

More positive news though - my NT scan came back with 1:91,000 risk and baby seems to be growing as expected. My hba1c (long range blood sugar) is now 6.3, which my doctor is extremely happy with. It's been a battle with lots of hypos and random highs but getting there. Got our 16 week scan next Wednesday and hopefully will find out what we're having!

Great to see news of boys/girls and healthy growing babies!

CalypsoLilt · 27/08/2015 13:22

Does anyone know please how to edit the spreadsheet? I can view it but not amend it :(

BananaRaces · 27/08/2015 13:32

Calypso I couldn't edit on that link either. This one works for me:
