Sounds like things are moving for some of us - I'm just running another bath - my bump feels permanently tight and I can't count the 'episodes' I'm having as I seem to have permenent backache and pelvis pain and it's difficult to feel anything through the tightness - I can tolerate it though - I just feel very very uncomfortable and not quite right - no show, no waters - I'm going to see if bath helps at all. Then I may ring MW.

See you all soon. LA

NativityJane · 04/12/2006 21:15

Good luck LA.

I had a bath and fell asleep in it, DH just woke me up, rang the hospital and she said the results will be back in within half an hour and she will ring me when they get them, won't hold my breath for that one!

I am still getting bigger, my face has gotten absolutely huge since I've been in the bath, my hands, legs even my girly bum (as DS calls it!!) is all swollen, I can't stand to wear anything except big nightshirts because everything else restricts me in one way or another.

Sorry I know I am moaning again, done nothing but moan moan moan since yesterday! I've just had enough, it is time for him to come out now. I have got to the point where I am almost hoping there is something slightly wrong enough for them to want to induce me, how f*cking selfish is that?!!

Dingdongdebbsyandbibbyonhigh · 04/12/2006 21:18

nat we know how you feel beleive me you sound so down i wish there was something i could do to help i really do xx

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 04/12/2006 21:37

Ooh NJ - all that swelling sounds horrible.. - sounds like you neeed several hugs. [hugs]

I fell asleep in bath too - DP gave me quite a shock when he popped in to see how I was. Felt 'episodes' in the bath and the permanent tightness has eased.

Still having 'episodes' hard to tell how regular they are as I'm fed up of clock watching. possibly about every twenty minutes still - pain well within my coping ability and no other signs. Reckon I'll go to bed soon as I'm thoroughly bored.

See ya later LA

NativityJane · 04/12/2006 21:38

She has just rang back, she said there is one test still outstanding but the rest are all fine and clear.

NativityJane · 05/12/2006 08:09

have had about half an hours sleep, I had really bad heartburn all night, picture very round woman sat on chair, wearing absolutely nothing, almost climbing the walls and crying like a banshee everytime another ripple of heartburn struck, and you get something similar to how my night went!! Contractions were really strong to the point where I had to walk around, coming every 4-5 minutes, and I had the most awful taste in the back of my throat, felt like I'd inhaled half a bottle of hairspray, whcih was making me feel sick....

God, I don't need to explain any more, I just had a shitty night basically!

I promise I will try to moan less from now on today

How is everyone? Any news?

Dingdongdebbsyandbibbyonhigh · 05/12/2006 08:46

im here ive got to phone the hospital as ive had a huge very bloody show this morning similar to what you get when you come on a period and periody type pains,my mw has told me to contact the hospital. It will be ok wont it?

Dingdongdebbsyandbibbyonhigh · 05/12/2006 08:55

ive rang them ive got to monitor babys movements over the next 2 hours then call them back.

NativityJane · 05/12/2006 09:02

Debbsy, I am sure it will be fine, have you felt the baby move this morning? Do you feel well, except for the obvious?

saralou100 · 05/12/2006 09:05

morning nj, debs and La!

i thought i had a shitty night nj, but yours sounds horrid.. i just couldn't get comfy in my own skin last night! pelvis really hurts at the top, like i've got a gigantic bruise their! gave up trying to get comfy at about 5 this morning, watching crap tele ever since!

ds is currently running round like the nutter he is and i don't have the energy for him! dp is being left in bed 'cause i'm sick of him moaning that he's tired (he doesn't bloody do anything all day fgs) (thats my moan over with)

glad your bloods are ok nj, not much consolation when you feel like shit i'm sure! can you call the midwives and get appointment today.. maybe some assertive action to kick them up the bum? i don't know what to suggest for you, so i'll send you some more big hugs.. i really do feeel for you!

debbsy, no harm in getting it all checked, is bibby still wriggling ok? it's probably the sweep thats disturbed it all.. let us know when you've spoken to the hospital!

NativityJane · 05/12/2006 09:11

Morning Sara, I am having a no moaning day today, after my initial one this morning, I have gone on strike, I am fed up of bloody moaning!!

Sounds like we have all had crappy nights though, what else I'd expect at over 9 months pregnant I don't know!!

saralou100 · 05/12/2006 09:17

except now your your moaning about moaning lol

NativityJane · 05/12/2006 09:19

Well, moaning about moaning is allowed

...Smartarse....

saralou100 · 05/12/2006 09:22

doesn't the word moaning start to sound strange when you keep saying it..

can i moan about the three gigantic spots that have taken over my face this morning?

NativityJane · 05/12/2006 09:26

It does take on a bit of an old English twang, but maybe it depends on what your accent is in the the first place?! (I can't believe we are talking about saying moaning too much on a day when moaning is is banned because there is too much bloody moaning going on!! )

Oh, yes you can moan about your spots, because all of this swelling has done me one favour, my skin looks the healthiest it has all pregnancy, no spots or anything, I finally have a pregnancy glow...! So you moan away!!

Debbsy, everythign OK?

Missybabyitscoldoutside · 05/12/2006 09:28

i keep seeing this thread title!
i don't get it!!!!!!!!
someone please explain????

NativityJane · 05/12/2006 09:30

Missy if you scroll down to a post by MyTwoChocolateCoinsWorth on Saturday, 2 December, at 2006 11:37:04 PM, there is an explanation there

Charleesawmummykissingsanta · 05/12/2006 09:32

I have been lurking!

Debbsy for what it's worth about an hour after i was examined when in early labour i lost a huge bloody show (it was gross) It was a bloody lump of snot but really quite big, before that i had spotting which was just like dark blood spots like before a period. Im sure you will be fine, alot of women bleed after having an examination or sweep.

Keep up the good work girls your all saints i would have been inside for a life stretch by now if i was still pregnant i would have killed someone!

staceym11 · 05/12/2006 09:34

morning people, debbsy seems to have dissappeared, fingers crossed shes finally getting her bibby!!! on a bright note if you are still lingering debbsy i had a bloody show like that after i was examined by the midwife when i went in to have keiran and i was 5cm dilated, she said it was normal as she'd touched the head. prob just your midwife disturbed something when she did the sweep but thats not a bad thing now is it?!?!

NJ hope your ok not sure a day without moaning is possible for you lot, it wasnt for me and i didnt reach my due date, i really feel for you! we'r all looking forward to you coming over to the 'dark' side with us!!

Missybabyitscoldoutside · 05/12/2006 09:34

thank god! that'll stop my brain working overtime!

LOL at you though!!

i remember having doubts about whether or not my waters had broken (it happened in costco, slowly). think i did end up checking the smell when i got home!

keep seeing your posts - poor you! is it tomorrow you're being induced? good luck!

NativityJane · 05/12/2006 09:41

Stace a day of no moaning is perfectly possible, I plan on sleeping through as much of it as I can!!

Missy, Nope not tomorrow, I have a sweep booked in for tomorrow, I will be 14 days over by the following Wednesday so I expect I will be booked in for an induction around then sometime.

Right I am off to ring my mum and apologise for crying all over her down the phone last night and then I am going to get into bed.

I will check back before I go to bed to see if Debsy has replied. xxx

Dingdongdebbsyandbibbyonhigh · 05/12/2006 11:20

im here sorry just been a bit of a worry moose, baby's movements are back phew hes just done a little dance for me bless him.I was just really worried seeing blood like that. Thanks for your reassurance ladies just got mild period type pains now not lost a lot more just a little xx

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 05/12/2006 11:50

Grr I've become a victim of bureaucracy!

Went to see my MW - she was more than happy to do a sweep - in fact she said she was going to do it anyway - she was also very sympathetic to my plight. Just as she was preparing and checking the notes she noticed that someone had said that I was under Consultant led care (named consultant on front). Now I had seen members of the consultant's team twice - on the psychological issue. Last time was at 39weeks and it concluded positively with the Dr saying that the team wouldn't need to see me again and good luck with the baby. It looks like someone forgot to update the computer though! MW had to ring to check and according to the computer I have to see the consultant this week - but no-one has told me OR put a date in the system. MW couldn't do sweep until consultant has seen me or said to do one - no-one is answering the phone in the antenatel clinic and both MW, mum, DP and Me are very cross about the situation. MW is going to keep trying the number and will call me as soon as she can. In the meantime - I'm stuck with my discomfort and 'episodes' every twenty minutes - not knowing if anything is progressing down there.

Rant over - how is everyone else? LA

staceym11 · 05/12/2006 11:56

oh LA i hope everything gets sorted for you, it must be horrible to be told one thing one minute and then soemthing different the next!

well just had keiran weighed and hes 9lb 8oz, so hes putting on weight like a good'un, im so pleased!

must go and stop neglecting my children, sending all the positive vibes i can!

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 05/12/2006 12:28

"A moan in a manger.." - looks like we've all had a good old moan today. Nice to see you again Stacey! Glad all is well with you.

Have decided that if MW doesn't get back to me before 3 I'm going to call antenatel clinic and find out what the hell is going on.

Just read my induction booklet - wish I hadn't sounds horrible and says it could take days...
Mum has told her boss she's not leaving until baby is born - which is nice - she is definitely helping me keep sane at the moment.

Has anyone got any good news? Wonder how Frangosa got on...

Have a fresh pineapple in the kitchen - might decapitate it shortly and see if it helps.

See ya all LA
