Morning all,

Absolutely nada on the "happenings" front for me last night. Got a good night's sleep tho' .

Going into hospital at 8pm tonight for my cs tomorrow morning. making a quick dash to mothercare for last minute things - e.g. a lighter cot. Also planning to stock up on champagne and smoked salmon for the full "Posh" birth experience.

Am happy about the cs now, almost relieved, I get to see her tomorrow for sure I told dh I would not wait till next Friday (42 weeks) even if they said OK now. Baby is moving less, no labour signs, just want to see she's alright.

Fingers crossed the full moon tomorrow brings a rush of babies for the last of the Nov mums.

NativityJane · 03/12/2006 12:28

How exciting Fondant?!! How strange is it to think that by this time tomorrow you will be holding your little baby?? LOL Seems so unbelieveable!

Have fun doing the last few shopping bits

saralou100 · 03/12/2006 13:18

well, i'm still here too! fondant.. have a fab c-section tomorrow! you really must be getting so excited now!! same here baby is moving less these days so i just wanna be able to see with my own eyes all is ok!!

storm kept me awake all night aswell, apparently we got the worst of it on the south coast, i thought my window was gonna come flying off, that and dp's snoring i finally got off about 5ish, then got woken up at 8.30 cause next doors dog had escaped and dp had to help get him back! have been asleep whilst ds is napping but so uncomfy!!

don't think i'll be using the trampoline today, weather is still awful, althouh wind has died down, were getting hail stones and heavy heavy rain!! wanted to take ds to the park, not sure if that will happen either!!

i may put up the christmas decs tonight!! i have another 3 days of being pregnant (unless baby wants to put in an appearance before) then into hospital to start induction on wednesday evening, so i may aswell organise myself and keep busy until then!!

Dingdongdebbsyandbibbyonhigh · 03/12/2006 13:27

Anything happening for anyone?

saralou100 · 03/12/2006 17:47

nothing here.. anyone else?

theirs a fullmoon, so hopefully we'll all be done by the end of the week!

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 03/12/2006 18:57

Nothing here - what looked promising has died down again - I was so depressed that DP insisted I rang the Midwife advisory service - I told him the only number that will be active at this time of night would be the delivery ward - DP insisted I rang that - and if I didn't he would do it for me as he was fed up of seeing me so miserable. I spoke to a lovely MW who reassured me that everything sounded exactly as it should for early labour (check - burning sensation 'down below'; check - sore bump, check - really long 'first stage' and even feeling weepy) she said my body obviously just needed a break from getting ready - but it sounded like it was doing what it should. She did suggest I ask for a 'sweep' on Tuesday when I'm booked to see my MW again - first time one has been mentioned. I hope to goodness I don't have to wait until next Saturday for induction - mum said she wouldn't leave me and that her boss will understand - but I'm struggling now. What dates for induction has everyone else got? I'm aware that each area does things a little differently. Just found out that the 'sanitiser' nappy bag thing we've been given is so out of date you can't get the nappy bags for it... got a monitor which hopefully will do the job, and a gym ball - trouble is we can't find the pump so it is looking pathetically flat at the moment (it's the sort you have to use a pump with). Didn't get a single Christmas present - but a few ideas.

Incidentally (witchy moment from me here) true full moon is on December 5th - mum reckons that that'll be the day (I was born on a full moon) - just need to throw in a storm for baby to make a dramatic entrance.

See you all - hopefully we will all have babies at the same time so none of us is left out.

All the best LA

Dingdongdebbsyandbibbyonhigh · 03/12/2006 19:56

Mummy2TandF · 03/12/2006 22:52

Wow - congratulations Kaybee - come over and join us on "the dark side" when you have a spare moment
Just popping in to see if we had any more babies - it seems very quiet here, you must all be off labouring - I must admit, I did have another reason - Freya smiled at me this evening it was deffo a smile and not wind - I had forgotten how that first smile melts your heart - I can't believe she is 5 weeks already Well I am thinking of you all, and just remember that it won't be long before you all have your lo's and have that amazing moment of the first smile Take Care

NativityJane · 03/12/2006 23:03

Huge congrats Kaybee, lovely name, well done

Feeling really fed up tonight, have had loads of contractions since our trip out this afternoon, and I know I'm going to lose x number hours of sleep again all for nothing. My poor DH has been plying me with comedy films and chocolate but it just isn't cutting it tonight. It is the first night I have felt really pissed off with it all, last night I had a couple of hours of just wanting it all over with , but tonight is more than that, I am being a grumpy cowbag and I know it, but I can't pick myself up.

Time for more chocolate I think!

NativityJane · 03/12/2006 23:05

Sorry, Mummy2T&F, how lovely, the first smile will make all of this worth it! You lucky, lucky thing You will have to make sure the camera is right next to you at all times now and try to capture her smile next time

NativityJane · 04/12/2006 00:14

Whhhhhhhhhhhhoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

NativityJane · 04/12/2006 08:00

Morning Anything happening for anyone? Good luck today Fondant

OK pick your brains time. A few weeks ago, I had swollen up like a balloon, my feet, ankles, and legs, one of my wrssts and hands my face and my tounge were all about as swollen as they could get. Midwife checked BP which had risen slightly the day before, but when she checked it had gone back down and my wee was fine, so no problem, since then the swelling had gone down everywhere except my feet and tounge, which were still swollen but only slightly. Now, yesterday I started blowing up again, same places, said to DH if it hadn't subsided by today I would ring the labour ward and speak to the midwife, but I have also noticed the last few days that no matter how much I am drinking (anything up to 3-4 litres a day) I am hardly weeing at all, I went for a wee three times yesterday and they were only little squirts - sorry!! So, obviously this swelling is likely to be down to having too much liquid in me, rather than anything like pre-eclampsia or anything, should I still ring them? Is the water retention something to be worried about in itself? To give you an idea of how swollen I am, DH had his hand resting on my leg last night, and when he moved it, I had a perfect hand print dimpled into my leg.

Any ideas?

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 04/12/2006 08:59

Morning NJ

I'd give them a ring - just for reassurance as it doesn't sound very pleasant. How are the pains?

I have had pains all through night - approx every 20 minutes (which is what it was doing before it stopped yesterday). I can still tolerate it (just) and I have no other signs - except extreme tiredness.

How is everyone else? Any sign of Bibby Debbsy? Saralou?

Good luck for today LA

NativityJane · 04/12/2006 09:23

Just to let you know I have rang and they want me to go in just to check my BP etc.

Waiting for DH to come home because I have to go to the hospital in the next town!

Will let you all know as soon as I can what's gone on.

I haven't had any pains as such, but I am feeling really sick and just generally yuk, got really bad heartburn as well, how anyone can wake up with heartburn before any food has been eaten I don't know!! Also got loads of pressure in my bum I can't sit back on it LOL

Will see you later xxx

Dingdongdebbsyandbibbyonhigh · 04/12/2006 09:28

hi nat just looked this up for you glad ur going to hospital is says OEDEMA can be caused through standing for long periods of time, walking around too much, high blood pressure and is best to be checked out by a proffesional.I bet its with all the walking around you have been doing good luck ill be thinking of you.xx

Dingdongdebbsyandbibbyonhigh · 04/12/2006 09:31

la no no sign of bibbles yet a nite of contractions and i was sick a couple of times, another show yesterday (alot more this time)and also had the trots, bump very tight and still feeling sick and v uncomfy seeing mw today for sweep.
What about you ??

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 04/12/2006 09:45

Debbsy - I'm feeling sick as well - just had another 'biggy' - right on schedule. Decided to have a bath as the background pain is getting to me. No show - although I'm not 100% certain it went a week ago (discharge looked a bit pink). Both my sisters didn't have a show until they were in full blown labour (one was 6cm dilated and it only went because the MW was doing an internal).

Told DP not to travel to far today - just in case. If not I'll be seeing MW tomorrow and I've been told to ask for a sweep - which hopefully she'll do.

Feeling sick again - I think I'd better find my vomit bowel...just to keep it handy.

See ya LA

Dingdongdebbsyandbibbyonhigh · 04/12/2006 09:55

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 04/12/2006 10:02
