Well we're certainly becoming the fameous five!

Encouraging signs whilst driving around - Doesn't seem as encouraging when we stop .

Debbsy - like you I keep feeling pressure down below - only I feel like I want to poo

A friend called to say that they felt they had to call me to see how I was - it was good to hear from them. Torquay was preparing for a winter carnival - with a procession of lights, fireworks etc... at 6.30pm - I would have liked to see it, but we're all feeling a little twitchy and if anything happens - to try and get through the traffic at that time would have been a nightmare. Shame really - a few fireworks might shift it.

Back home, nothing much happening - although I will see if I get the biggy at 20 past (as I have been doing).

Look after yourselves girls - I will find that other thread as well.

All the best
LA

well, i bounced on my ball and then i slept all afternoon, i obviously bounced too hard!!

NativityJane · 02/12/2006 18:35

LOL Sara, I did exactly the same, DH said I was snoring that loudily even the cat got up and moved away from me LOL (I will add I was only on the sofa, she doesn't come in our bed!)

saralou100 · 02/12/2006 18:41

happy anniversary nj (just noticed your name change, very clever ) hope youtr dh does something lovely for you! off to watch x-factor!!

Thanks girls,

X Factor is being sky plussed, we wait for DS to go to bed, so we can watch it in peace

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 02/12/2006 19:31

Forgot to say happy anniversary NJ - hope your DH is treating you right

Got a 'biggy' at 6.20 and another at 7.20 - still shy about calling them 'contractions' though. (Still feel very sick with them as well)

Feel very twitchy - just turned out a food cupboard as I thought there might be some out of date stuff in there (there was). Cleaned the place where the cat gets in - not sure what to do now. DP has just paused a game on the PC to watch Robin Hood - so I can't go for my usual outlet of mind numbing games - I don't feel like sitting still - but haven't a clue what else to do (Mum has been sneakily busying herself by doing my housework for me - so I don't really have anything to do on that front)... can't put the vaccuum round as everyone has settled down to watch tv and the cat gets scared of it and I'm up to date on my laundrey. I'm so twitchy!! any ideas?

fondant4000 · 02/12/2006 21:24

Fingers crossed for an eventful night for some of us at least!

Have bounced on my ball, taken dd to park, climbed stairs, but still nothing really moving. Resigned to going to hospital tomorrow night for my cs on Monday. Can't wait to see her!

Good luck everyone - off to bed now.

Dingdongdebbsyandbibbyonhigh · 02/12/2006 21:51

NativityJane · 02/12/2006 23:35

Good luck Fondant Keep us as up to date you can

MyTwoChocolateCoinsWorth · 02/12/2006 23:37

can i just shove in and ask what the hell the thread title refers to? has your dp sniffed yours? every time i read it, i go eh what? and despite scanning the thread, im still no wiser! what? what what?

NativityJane · 02/12/2006 23:45

LMAO

There was a day when...ahem... 'one of our girls' thought her waters might have gone, the advice was to wear a pad to soak some of the liquid up, and smell it, seeing as amniotic fluid is supposed to smell sweet, now our lovely girl couldn't decide what it smelt like so she asked her ever loving DH to have a sniff, and it kind of went down in MN history.

OK I will hold my hands up... it was me...!

MyTwoChocolateCoinsWorth · 02/12/2006 23:49

thanks. bit of a relief considering the list of possibilities i had compiled!

NativityJane · 02/12/2006 23:52

LMAO, If you want the looooong drawn out version (and you have a spare couple of hours!!) look for a thread in the childbirth section called 'Am I in labour?' The full story is on there.

MyTwoChocolateCoinsWorth · 02/12/2006 23:56

he must be potty about you! i can imagine what i'd have been told if i'd waved a soggy ST at my other half and invited him to sniff it!

NativityJane · 03/12/2006 00:00

LMAO I didn't do that

I just got him to smell my fingers, and then obviously washed my hands!

We never worked out what it was.

saralou100 · 03/12/2006 00:47

i think maybe i spent too much time sleeping today... i'm awake, tired, but i can't switch off. and dp is snoring, so loudly.

NativityJane · 03/12/2006 01:02

Sara, come over to the is NJ pregnant thread (ys there is another one....!) there are a few of us there if you fancy something to fill the time.

Dingdongdebbsyandbibbyonhigh · 03/12/2006 10:25

well im still here nothing brewing so to speak.
what about anyone else?

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 03/12/2006 11:18

I'm still here as well - I'm having an 'episode' approximately every twenty minutes and didn't get much sleep - partly because of the 'episodes', partly because of a huge storm and partly because our cat decided to go bonkers last night (think he was freaked by the sound of the wind bashing against the cottage). He's behaving himself now, but he certainly gave me the runaround and resorted to miaowing outside our bedroom door for hours on end.
Forced down a glass of fresh pineapple juice (starting to get really fed up of it now). DP is planning another bumpy car ride - I've suggested we go into town - there's a Christmas Market - I feel like getting a bit of Christmas shopping in - early for me (we're part of the last minute Christmas brigade - usually works out cheaper as they rediuce all their stock). We don't even put our decorations up until twelve days before Christmas. However I want to find a special decoration for baby - I always buy a new one whenever there is a new baby due in the family and as this time it's mine - I want to get something special.
On a practical 'new mummy note' we need a baby monitor, DP wants to get me a birth ball (bit late maybe) and I might go and get measured to check I'm wearing the right bra size - trouble is, I already seem to have exceeded the limit of most shops.

See you later LA

NativityJane · 03/12/2006 11:36

Morning girls

Let DH have the computer this morning and he has downloaded a different internet explorer version, so it all seems a bit funny now!

Nothing happening here, had a really bad nights sleep, well I didn't actually get to sleep till about 5 this morning, so it wasn't bad as such, just not enough of it!

Got a bit of tidying and cleaning to do now, then we are off to Tesco and a bit of a drive out somewhere, just to fill the day really.

Catch you later xxx

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 03/12/2006 11:39

NJ - your other threads sound fantastic but I'm buggered if I can find them - which general section are they in?

I did find a thread started by some Plymouth mums though - although they seem way behind me - they are just talking about Nuchal scans (which don't get done here). Might have a browse and see what else I can find whilst I wait for DP too sort himself out. Still twitchy

See ya soon LA (who may change name to mince pie nutter as I keep walking past them and thinking - maybe just another one...)

NativityJane · 03/12/2006 11:44

I think they are all in the childbirth bit, I'm not sure, I only started one!! The first one (which MN closed because it got too big) is called 'Am I in labour?' the second is called 'IS NATALIEJANE IN LABOUR - PART TWO' and the third is called 'IS NATALIEJANE EVEN PREGNANT?' or something like that Neither of them ever seem to be very far from the active convos.
