NJ - like the name change - very christmassy

Like everyone else I feel the urge to work on clearing my system - something is definitely happening now - not sure what, but it's different from what has been going on before - I can feel my cervix getting involved. DP isn't getting his hopes up and I'm still a little cautious (I've had on too many false alarms already). When the pain gets unbareable - that's when I'll take it seriously - in the meantime -I'm planning a relaxing visualisation meditation - might work. Baby is currently being very helpful and working from the inside.

I'm also being a right pig at the moment - feel very hungry. See ya later LA

NativityJane · 01/12/2006 15:19

Debbsy, it would be lovely any day, and I don't mind which as long as it is bloody soon!! LOL

LA, glad you like my new look, all thanks to the girls on the other thread though, though I did manage to change it all by myself which I have never done before, feeling partic. computer savvy all of a sudden!! LOL

Debbsyandbibby · 01/12/2006 16:38

NativityJane · 01/12/2006 16:48

It is fine with me....anything to get rid of the whole pad sniffing thing...!! LOL

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 01/12/2006 17:11

Hi Debbsy and Nj

Yeah if you want to change - just let me know - Debbsy I've eaten a loads of as well including a few nominal healthy items

1 bowl of porridge
1 cup of tea
1 glass of milk
2 slices of toast
1 apple
2 glasses of mixed fruit juice
Some soup and half a baguette (mum insisted I ate something marginally healthy at lunchtime)
but also included
1 chocolate biscuit.
half a bag of liquorice allsorts (large bag)
Packet of french fries crisps

I've got a chocolate bar on standby as well and wonder if I can manage a curry

I've also noticed I need to drink more water - knew there was something I'd forgotten

Still getting frequent crampy pains and random tightening - any 'contractions' seem to have died down again.

See ya all soon - LA

Bethbe · 01/12/2006 21:25

Hi to those still waiting, - can't stop for long, but wanted to share something with you that might help!

Contractions started at 3am on Wednesday.

On Tuesday I got up late at 12pm having gone to bed really early at 9pm. I was starving and on my empty stomach ate a whole fresh pineapple. I didn't mean to, but just ate one slice at a time until it was all gone! 15 hours later I was in labour with contractions at 3 mins apart.

Good luck!

spinasnowflake · 01/12/2006 21:42

DebsandBibby,

In response to the walking up stairs, I THINK it's left side up first IYKWIM. I've actually come on here to confirm!

That's what our resident M/W is doing and she's disappeared off our thread

PS Bibby. You need to make an appearance soon! Hope you're listening to me........and when you're out can you have a word with my little guy too!

Sorry for gatecrash.Hope you're all cudding LOs soon!

Dingdongdebbsyandbibbyonhigh · 01/12/2006 21:59

thanks spina

Dingdongdebbsyandbibbyonhigh · 01/12/2006 22:44

im trying it and yes it does force more pressure down there so hopefully...

NativityJane · 01/12/2006 22:50

Did you try the clary sage?

Dingdongdebbsyandbibbyonhigh · 01/12/2006 23:00

no because i remember what you said about the smell being awful.

NativityJane · 01/12/2006 23:02

It is horrible, but it will be worth it if it does get things moving, it really does make my contractions stronger, so for soemone like you who is in the early stages it could really work.

It has to be worth a try?

Dingdongdebbsyandbibbyonhigh · 01/12/2006 23:07

may try tomorrow been doing the walking up and downstairs thing that seems to be doing something well i feel pressure more when i do it.I read that tip off the dec thread seems to be one opf the most affective.Really am going to bed now i can hardly type v tired

Dingdongdebbsyandbibbyonhigh · 02/12/2006 09:52

Happy Anniversary Nat and dh

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 02/12/2006 10:59

Brilliant news about Calsworld - Just hope mine shifts soon.

Like the festive names! (can't think of one myself)

Had some serious contractions about an hour apart starting at about 3.20am this morning - the one at 4.20am was so strong that I really wanted to grab something and squeeze it tight - good job DP had his back to me or he could have had the shock of his life . The contractions seem to have died again in pain intensity - but my nausea and sickness is growing - I've found myself retching with the 'somethings' that are still continuing (my bump is going tight very often in between times as well). We're off to Torquay for a long walk (DP wanted to go somewhere where he can get me in a car quickly if necessary) - we are also planning to drive down some bumpy lanes as well. Also Torquay is where DP was born - so you never know - baby might to follow Dad...

Plan to pick up a pineapple as well(and we have been using clary sage). Interested to know more about this other thread what is it called?

See you later. LA

NativityJane · 02/12/2006 11:30

Thanks Debbsy, it is brilliant news about Cal, I am so pleased for her

LA, the other thread is now a two part series The first is called "I am in labour???" the second is called something like "Is NatalieJane in labour - part two!!" it never seems to be too far from active convos

Is it just us 3 left now? I am betting that you will both have your babies by the end of the weekend, I am ready for the long haul till the 13th Dec when I will be induced.

NativityJane · 02/12/2006 11:31

LA, come over to the other thread, as on there for some ideas for christmassy names, they are very good with them there

saralou100 · 02/12/2006 13:10

NativityJane · 02/12/2006 13:59

Sorry how could I forget Sara???

...So just the four of us?

fondant4000 · 02/12/2006 14:35

Well I'm only a dropper-inner, but I'm still here till Monday

Wish it wasn't going along so slowly for all of us - so frustrating!

NJ - dd eating well and playing today, so not so worried about her any more.

Sara - i've been bouncing today, feel really sleepy now!

LA, I tried the pineapple, my only option left is the castor oil - but I'm too chicken

Debbsy, hope you're feeling more pressure tonight.

NativityJane · 02/12/2006 14:39

Well that's five of us, any more for any more?!!

I am glad your DD has come round a bit, DS is loads better and back at school and everything, but he still isn't back to normal, still coughing and blowing his nose every five minutes and he is absolutely shattered when he comes home from school, which doesn't normally get him that tired! It really is a nasty bug.

Dingdongdebbsyandbibbyonhigh · 02/12/2006 17:36

Well we have finished now xmas lights and tree up, inside and out been moving furniture today too so hopefully still feeling loads of pressure like im about to wee myself so fingers crossed.Hope everyones had a nice day tc xx
