For all newbies, this is a thread for ladies expecting a baby around Christmas or New Year, feel free to join in.

I'm having a boy! Still in shock slightly, we were both so convinced he was a girl. Mostly just really happy that the scan was all good though, my placenta is still low but has plenty of time to move.

I'm here to add to the blue tally! Despite both being convinced he was a she, we've seen evidence to the contrary.

This is the fourth boy in a row, and the fifth out of six including DSS! Poor DD!

This was my favourite scan ever - the sonographer really took her time explaining everything we could see and all the measurements she was taking.

Just sitting at the airport waiting for DD and DS1 to get back from Germany and then we'll tell all the children that bump is blue. Listen for the DD screams in 15mins...

Thanks ahemily and congrats to everyone else as well. So many boys! I'm from a family of 4 girls so have a lot to learn I reckon...

I think (incorrectly) that makes me more likely to be pink which is what I've thought from the beginning (scan Tues, staying yellow)!

Wow this is going to be a very blue thread if we keep on going! Congratulations for all the healthy scans.

I got a bonus in my pay check this month...it's already gone on little boy clothes. He is sorted for the first few months nearly.

I'm still really in shock about having a boy, I am happy about it. But I'm scared too, always thought I'd only have girls. I never imagined I could have a daughter in law, or be a mother of the groom. I know these things are ages away but it's kind of scary having my life I'd imagined disappear.

That all said dd who seemed upset about a baby is suddenly excited now it's a boy so that's really good news.

Cuppa, I feel exactly the same about having a girl. I grew up with four brothers, lived with my dad for much of my life and have a DS. I know what I'm doing with boys, but girls scare me! They're so delicate and vulnerable - I'm over the moon but also terrified!

Cor blimey, anyone else feeling faint? I passed out this morning - woke up on the bedroom floor to find DS trying to feed me satsuma. I played it down so he wasn't worried, but am a bit shaken up! I didn't have anything like this the first time around.

I was really dizzy yesterday but sat down in time. Hope you're ok, must've been scary. Maybe call mw to let them know?

I just got back from my scan and I'm having a GIRL!! I'm in utter shock as I was convinced it was a boy, as was H. Sitting here letting in sink in I'm going to have a daughter! So happy and excited to meet her.

Oh ahemily - poor you, that must have been scary. I keep having some dizzy spells but have never actually conked out. Poor you, take it easy. Second checking with the MW if just to get your blood pressure checked.

I had my 20w scan this morning, all good, slightly/potentially low lying placenta, so going to have a bonus scan at 32 weeks. Fully team yellow - but still convinced it's a lady baby, so will get a proper shock come Chrimbo if it's another boy.

Good luck for your scan Gilster. I am in a very wet field in Cornwall. 2 wonderful beach days and now it is tipping it down!

I've bought him this and wrapped it for when he's back.

Scan was all good and we even managed to hold firm and not find out the sex. Mini Gillster is attached.
