I make 4oz bottles and DS has at least 3oz depending how much he had last time. My supply drops around the afternoon too. I hate that empty feeling like I can't give him enough.

Slow cookers are the actual best when you have a little baby. Best ever new mother gift from when DD was born. I'm a slow cooker addict now. The porks so tender now I can't pick any up the fork goes straight through it can't wait for dinner nowm

Fugghetaboutit · 02/02/2016 16:32

Makes you ravenous smelling it all day Grin

Yes I hate the empty feeling too, think it's because I'm so tired by then and stressed and just want to retreat to bed, the sleep deprivation kicks in.

Ds has been pretty bad at nursery since dd came along when he's always been really good. They've been really understanding though as they know it's because of the baby. Hope it passes soon.
Dd is such a Velcro baby I feel sorry for ds as he doesn't get any 1-1 time atm

I think your DS is the same age as mine fugg? (DS turns 2 next week). He's a nightmare at the mo, yesterday was one long tantrum. He had some sort of lurgy last week which hasn't helped, but we can't do right for doing wrong, he's not even mildly neglected because both DP and I are at home, think he's just got his nose out-of-joint by new arrival. Must look into seeing if I can get a regular playgroup session to give us all a break, in the meantime it's plenty of excursions, so hard in the winter though!

Trying to track little DS's feeds/sleeps so maybe we can take a little control and get off night-shifts. He's eating little and often, but the sleeps just might be getting a little longer.... Maybe.
fugg - he's fully FF - but I make up 4oz bottles and he takes anything from 1 to the lot. Holefully introducing a bottle will help you get some rest, it's relentless if you're doing it all yourself.

cuppa -a stone doesn't sound too bad. I weighed myself yesterday and am a full 20lb overweight (that's 30lb heavier than I was before DS1 Sad
Last time round I did "the shred" exercise video which worked miracles. This time I probably shouldn't risk it in case my womb falls out! (No better, no worse at the mo). Guess I better get dieting, I'd bloody love some pulled pork now (yes at 7am, I've been up since 1.30 so it's pretty much lunchtime, right?)

sherbert thank you.

I've checked in on work already, will probably do a few KIT days this month and next, then I'm back PT (1 week per month) from April.

Fugghetaboutit · 03/02/2016 08:03

Ds is 3 Tango so probably taking new arrival a little better as he's a bit older and likes 'helping'
He's ill too with that horrible cold going around and has obviously passed it onto dd, she literally couldn't breath last night as her nose was completely blocked poor thing.
I don't even own scales but my tummy is v wobbly still!
I didn't end up doing a bottle yesterday as she slept a lot in the afternoon. I've ordered colief from sainsburys too so might try that today.
She did a huge poo last night thankfully so that's helped her I reckon.

Tangoandcreditcards · 06/02/2016 07:00

Ah. That extra year makes all the difference I guess. DS1 also likes to help (mainly by pointing out the baby has eyes by jabbing his fingers in them whilst hollering "EYES"). He's been much better the last couple of days since earlier in the week though, maybe he needed a poo too!

Hope the Coleif has helped fugg and you've had some rest. DS2 has done the odd 3hr sleep now, some of it even in his Moses basket! He was crazy sicky yesterday so I switched to the pre-made formula, I'm convinced it stays down better and he hasn't been sick since. Will maybe stick to that for now, it's loads more expensive but less messy!

Fugghetaboutit · 06/02/2016 11:52

Grin @ EYES! So true about 2 year olds, hard work!

She's still up every hour all night and won't be put down during the day. I had to let her scream so I could make myself tea and toast at 10 this morning as I was starving :( she was fast asleep on me so transferred her to basket and she immediately wakes up everytime.

Heading out to MILs, this day just gets better and better! 😄

Fugghetaboutit · 06/02/2016 11:52

She had a 3oz bottle yesterday and fell asleep in afternoon but same thing, woke up when put down, meh.

Tangoandcreditcards · 06/02/2016 12:23

Poor you fugg - it's hard work when they won't be put down, we're only just starting to get anywhere with that now, I'm not normally one for baby gadgets (except the magic milk machine) but SIL got me something called a snugglbundle which is basically like a shopping bag/hammock for babies. The only way we can put DS down is by swinging him in that and then popping him down still in it, works about 50% of the time, but that makes it worthwhile in my book! Mostly he's in the sling on me or on DP still though. Have you tried putting her in a car seat/bouncy? A bit more upright might help? Even if just gives you a chance to get your toast!

HopeItComesLate · 06/02/2016 23:10

Just googled snugglebundle and they look brilliant like a clever way to trick a baby into being put down.

Sorry your still having a hard time of it fugg hope you get a better sleep tonight.

Stupidly tried to take a little trip into London today needless to say it did not go well. The best bit of the day was when we found a warm space in the underground system next to a very good busker for ds's feed. X

horseylady · 07/02/2016 08:02

Hugs fugg must be very hard. Have you looked into reflux?

DS1 was in A&E the other night. Bust his lip needed stitches. Had to leave DS2 as DH was out. Very stressful. All ok now.

Fugghetaboutit · 07/02/2016 09:08

Tango that looks really good! I'm going to try a Shaun the sleep sheep too as it helped ds.

Hope ah you did really well, it's really stressful travelling with small babies in busy places, I get flustered too.

Horsey hope ds is ok! They keep you on your toes don't they?!

Well dd had a bottle as a last feed before bed at 9pm and slept until 1! Longest stretch she's ever done. Gave my boobs a chance to full up so she got a big boob feed after that and slept until 4am! Obviously she was feeding so often it wasn't giving me a chance to fill up so she was getting little feeds all the time. Feel like I've actually had some sleep!
