lilyb84 · 22/07/2015 19:59

Welcome new mum-to-be!

MissMartin I'm due 22nd too Smile

lilyb84 · 22/07/2015 19:59

That should have been 'mums' plural...!

mrschatty · 22/07/2015 20:00

Silly me I thought you ladies were so quiet today and I've posted in the old thread! Welcome newbies:)
Did anyone watch that drama on bbc 3 don't take my baby. Oh I'm sobbing.

lutrinae · 22/07/2015 20:04

Aloha, Romeo and Miss Martin they are little tyrants. We had some more incidents when my mum dropped him off this evening but I'm too tired to relive them. I also have a 2 year old group Aloha so I started a Terrible Twos Support Thread, ha. It was busy.

Welcome Spydie!

Gearing up for a spot of OBEM tonight, anyone else gonna watch? I love it!

melonface · 22/07/2015 20:08

I'm watching! DH refusing lol

SleepyDragon · 22/07/2015 20:09

MissM my NT was 1.8 and the odds came back as 1/6354

Your scan picture is waaaaay clearer than mine you can only just make out the baby's head let alone anything else! Apparently because I'm 'bigger' my scans will never be clear Sad

Oysterbabe · 22/07/2015 20:10

Can't wait for OBEM tonight. Making DH watch it. He thinks it'll freak me out but it won't, I always just assume they're not as tough as me Grin

mrschatty · 22/07/2015 20:12

Definitely watching OBEM tonight...its sad but I used to cry watching it wishing it was me....now it is! 19m ttc what a distant nightmare that is now and a drop in the ocean compared to some...

ValancyJane · 22/07/2015 20:25

Evening all, just catching up! School FINALLY broke up today, thank god, so hopefully I will actually start getting organised (ie buying maternity clothes since nothing fits anymore, reading my pregnancy book and clearing out the nursery-to-be). In exciting news I have finally got this mythical burst of energy you were all talking about and it's blooming marvelous! I haven't been sick in a week, and

MissM What a cutie, I'd say boy from the skull. I'm also due 22nd!

lutrinae I have told OH that we are watching, I've seen the odd episode before but he hasn't. Think it may be a tad eye opening for him (he's not got to the birth section of the pregnancy book he's reading yet!)

Also we got the downs syndrome test results back today and it came back at 1:100,000 which obviously we are happy about, I was expecting a slightly elevated risk as I'm 28 (nearly 29) and overweight and I know that gets taken into account, but the NT was small and I guess whatever was floating around in my blood was all good!!!

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 22/07/2015 20:27

Yay, OBEM! When I first saw the Dr after my BFP he told me to stop watching it! 'Advice' I am certainly ignoring!

lutrinae · 22/07/2015 20:35

I've watched every series, DP just humours me. I'm not sure why I still like it after giving birth, but there you go!

crumble74 · 22/07/2015 20:40

Sorry fisher, got the wrong end of the stick there! I think for £25 it's a nice piece of kit. I only used a bassinet when clipped onto the pram chassis.

You lot are brave watching OBEM, I get terribly queasy watching actual birthing. It was probably a good idea I ended up with a CS.

lilyb84 · 22/07/2015 20:42

Ooh, I've only ever watched bits and didn't realise it was on. Might tune in myself!

lutrinae · 22/07/2015 20:43

crumble it's the CS's I can't watch, I have to look away for those. Think I have a bit of a surgery phobia.

lilyb84 · 22/07/2015 20:49

Me too lutrinae! Just saying CS makes me come over a bit weak. Bodes well I think.

SleepyDragon · 22/07/2015 21:14

Never watched OBEM, never appealed to me lol!

BeeMyBaby · 22/07/2015 21:25

I'm watching it for the first time in since DD2 was born (couldn't bear to be reminded of it in any way)... There's so much background story - I just want to see babies!

Hello all.

I've decided to have the harmony test. Appt tomorrow at 11.30. Scared witless that something is wrong.

Much more anxious than I was with DS.

Hey ho.

13 weeks exactly today according to last scan. When will the tiredness end?!?!?

Wynsey · 22/07/2015 21:34

It's a baby!!!! Grin
It was the most amazing feeling ever seeing it on the screen!!! So happy!! It was so clear! Everything was fine and healthy. Now 13+1 due 26th of January xxx

I posted in the old thread!! Kept refreshing wondering where everyone was!!! Haha I swear baby brain is real!!!!

DH sat & stared at the screen - bless. He kept commenting on how wriggly it was!! When she started it stretched right out & we could see its hands & fingers!! Surreal! I was in for 2 hours!! Had drank too much water so had to pee then do star jumps then got sent down for sugar cos she couldn't do the dating or any other measurements lol but they were all lovely & loved the experience. I haven't stopped smiling since. Such a relief!!! I'm thinking boy! We got loadssss of photos - hard to pick one!!
Saw 2.5 NT on the screen but all she said was everything measured fine. Who knows.

Watching OBEM Confused should I??? Lol xxx

lilyb84 · 22/07/2015 21:47

Aw wynsey, you're bouncing off the walls Smile Congrats, so glad the scan went well and was such a lovely experience for you!

Oysterbabe · 22/07/2015 21:52

Bit disappointed with OBEM. I think they show a disproportionate amount of sections. I want to see natural births.

Congrats Wynsey ! Great news!

AlohaMama · 22/07/2015 22:00

Oooh didn't realise OBEM had started again, will have to record it. Have only seen one series but love it. I don't think I would have liked it pre-kids, but now I do!

Juniper404 · 22/07/2015 22:48

My downs risk came out as 1:3000 which I though seemed quite high, seeing as nuchal fold was 1.8. Trying not to get anxious over it as it's still low risk, I know.

We spent 10 hours buying a car today. Shattered now! Barely saw DD but she and my mum had a full on day by the sound of it!

Never seen OBEM and don't intend to watch it! I watched the video of the American woman giving birth in her car. Anyone else see that?! I sobbed!

mrschatty · 22/07/2015 22:51

I seen that video juniper I think her dh should have done more to help!!!! And your risk is low congratulations
DH refused to watch OBEM with me so I've gone to bed in a sulk
