crumble74 · 22/07/2015 15:41

No idea cubano but a cute nose! Glad all is well with you.

MissMartin10 · 22/07/2015 16:16

oh my gosh 2 hours at the hospital for my scan and seeing the midwife ect... nearly chickened out of combined test but did it.. nt of 1.8 is that good?
all my bloods came back with good results from last time but couldn't say if i was still immune from rubella.

Im not happy with the scan pic my first one was alot better but owell baby is healthy and that's all what matters.. measured at 13w+5d so 2 days ahead...I've got my private scan in 20days can't wait to actually be aloud to watch the scan! I'll post a pic after for a guess of gender but theres no nub haha Grin

TeenieDeenie · 22/07/2015 16:20

Cute picture Cubano I'm gonna guess pink due to what kinda looks like a horizontal nub. Smile

MissMartin10 · 22/07/2015 16:31

MaybeMrsMum2016 · 22/07/2015 17:34

Ahhh I love these scan photos! MissMartin I'm guessing boy. I'm still convinced my own is a member of team blue but I'm sticking with team yellow for now!

Someone mentioned people who have gone quiet... where has Gouda gone?!

tennisnut123 · 22/07/2015 17:43

Hi all, just had 16 week appointment which went well. Heard the heartbeat on the Doppler which was great! Otherwise just general chat.
I got some great bargains in the Mumas & papas sale online. Sooo comfy to have over bump leggings compared to digging in!

melonface · 22/07/2015 17:43

missmartin I guess boy! Anything less than 3 for NT is fine (mine was.1.5)

MissMartin10 · 22/07/2015 17:45

ohh good! so nervous for the results Confused
yeahh i think it looks like a boy aswell hehe! dp will be happy Grin

spydie · 22/07/2015 18:17

Ohhh can I join this? Waves! Grin

We are expecting our first on Jan 23rd!!

fishermanswife1 · 22/07/2015 18:29

Hi spydie! Great scan pics ladies!!! Love seeing them.

So I'm after a quick bit of advice that's totally going to show me up as a complete newbie. DH and I haven't started buying anything yet. I mean nothing. But something came up on my fb feed today.... A maxi cosi carry cot. Brand new, in box for £25. I know it's a great deal. But it just is the carry cot.... If we got that, would we be limited to needing a maxi cosi pram etc. I hope that makes sense. I haven't.Got a bleedin clue

AlohaMama · 22/07/2015 18:32

thanks for new thread bee

welcome newbies. there must be 100s of us on here now!!

I definitely have a bump now. Now it's more obviously bump rather than fat, I'm embracing the bump hugging clothes. Got a nice summer dress and top and leggings all from New Look which are great and not too spendy.

lutrinae fully sympathise with the terrible 2s. This was my post on my 2 yr old group yesterday this witching hour we've had pulling off nappy and peeing on floor, refusing to put on clothes, 3 trips to cot and back because she refused to sit on her chair for dinner (instead trying to climb on to table), hitting me because she didn't want me to clean her teeth, kicking me because she didn't want me to put on her nappy. This is in addition to the usual full on tantrums every time we get in/out of the car seat, cups thrown on floor because she wants her brothers, drinks poured on floor just because, cutlery thrown on floor just because, etc etc. Please let this get easier. To top it all off, she's got a random rash, and we've given her antihistamine - but she defies the "this medicine causes drowsiness" warning on the side of the bottle, if anything she gets even more hyper.

15+5

crumble74 · 22/07/2015 18:39

Hi fisher! Maxi cosi seats are very adaptable and should fit lots of different brands of pram! Just check the pram you have in mind. You will then need to buy a car seat adaptor for the pram and an isofix base for the car onto which the carrycot is then positioned. £25 is a good deal but I would make sure it's in excellent condition and has not been in an accident. Car seats are one of those things that are worth buying new.

Lookingforadvice123 · 22/07/2015 18:40

Welcome back smuth and cubano, and great news on good scans!

Thanks bee for doing the new thread, I tried to update my stats but it wouldn't let me without downloading the app, when you get the chance can you add my 20 week scan for 17th August and the fact that I'm TEAM BLUE!!!! Thanks Smile

crumble74 · 22/07/2015 18:45

Great news about your scan missmartin! Our baby's NT was 2.0 at the time & all came back low risk.

Welcome spydie! All newbies should be able to add themselves to the sheet that's linked on page 1 of this thread.

Romeolovesjuliet · 22/07/2015 18:58

Just checking in to new thread.
alhoa your post made me chuckle, not in an insensitive way, in a hollow 'toddlers are little s' way. My DD wasn't too bad at 2 but my DD (21 months) is well on his way to being s wilful horror so I sympathise with you and lutrinae.

Haitch35 · 22/07/2015 19:09

Hi everyone!

I've been lurking for a while, too scared to post before. I was convinced that my 12 week scan would reveal that there was nothing in there and I was making it all up. It was such a relief last week to see baby is definitely in there and doing well. I'm 13+4, due on 23rd Jan. Will try to add myself to the stats sheet later.

MissMartin10 · 22/07/2015 19:09

oh good stuff crumble Grin

My 20week scan is 8th Sep if some one can please update it won't let me do it and due date is 22nd jan...much appreciated Smile

is anyone else due the 22nd Jan???

MissMartin10 · 22/07/2015 19:10

haitch & spydie Welcomeeee Grin xx

fishermanswife1 · 22/07/2015 19:13

Thanks very much crumble. But its not a car seat. We plan to buy a car set from scratch. It's a carry cot (Pic included). She has said its brand new but I've double checked if the mattress has ever been used.
I just wondered if it will be easy enough to find a stroller base or how adaptable it is to others etc. Does anyone use these for short periods rather than a Moses basket, say if out of house?

fishermanswife1 · 22/07/2015 19:14

Also, welcome new mummas!

spydie · 22/07/2015 19:37

Great will add myself onto there! Thank you!

Snap Haitch35 I'm 23rd jan too! Smile

CubanoHabana · 22/07/2015 19:46

missmartin I think you are blue as well.

Toddlers certainly are little b*ggers... currently listening to mine making random noises over the monitor when he is supposed to be asleep on his cot. Every now and then he is going 'dad, dad, book, book'!
