wow all the 12 week scans coming up Grin. so exciting! mine is in two weeks... feels like a lifetime away.

told quite a few friends at the weekend that I was pregnant.. one of them was really surprised when I told them how far along I was and said 'but you're already showing!'. I felt like saying thanks! but um no I'm just fat Sad not her fault though, I've been terribly bloated the past couple of weeks, fybogel has helped get things moving a bit but I keep forgetting to take it, so my belly is sticking out quite a lot.

does anyone else have an aversion to tea at the moment? I'm really sad as I just can't drink it at the moment, have stopped even trying. I remember the same happening with DD and by second trimester I was back to drinking tea and enjoying it, so hoping the same happens this time, as tea is one of my morning pleasures and at the moment I just can't face drinking it.

Rosieblossom123 · 10/08/2015 13:51

maybe how far along are you? because i'm 12 weeks around the same time as you, booking app was on the 3rd so last week and haven't received a appointment yet I do have a scan booked for tomorrow at the EPU though, so nervous!

maybebabybee · 10/08/2015 14:04

rosie I am 9+1 going by what I thought my ovulation date was, but 9+3 going by my early scan last week.

Don't be nervous, I'm sure everything will be fine and at 9 weeks or so you should be able to see something good - my 8 +4 bean looked like a real baby rather than just a blob!

Rosieblossom123 · 10/08/2015 14:16

maybe really? I'm excited and nervous :) and was the heart beat loud and clear? I'm 9+5 from my ovulation date but from midwife calculations she says I'm 10 already so the only accuracy I'm going by is the scan haha I don't think I'm going to sleep tonight!

maybebabybee · 10/08/2015 14:17

Yes the heartbeat was 158 bpm which I was a bit worried about as thought that was a bit low (all over the internet people were saying theirs was 160-170) at 8 weeks, but doctor said it was very good and totally normal.

You can't hear the heartbeat though, only see it.

Missdee2014 · 10/08/2015 14:21

Haven't been on the thread much the last few days with being on holiday and my mum going in for her op today. However, as a result of my spot bleed last week I've managed to get an appt with epu for a scan tomorrow morning. Hopefully nothing to worry about and it'll put my paranoid over active worrying mind at rest!

Hope everyone doing well and congrats to any newbies! I will spend some time later and try and catch up. ????

Rosieblossom123 · 10/08/2015 14:29

maybe ahaha that's how you know that it's my first, I thought I would be able to hear it Blush that would've been embarrassing tomorrow hahaha hun I don't think the internet helps at all in fact it makes up panic even more! My doctor had a good at my and said googling symptoms is the worse thing ever so I stopped now!

Miss everything will be okay what time is your scan? I'm hoping after the scan tomorrow I could actually start enjoying my pregnancy rather than panicking all the time :(

maybebabybee · 10/08/2015 14:34

Actually ladies not wanting to make you feel worse but even though my scan was good at 8 weeks, I'm still worrying :S

In fact I've booked a private scan next week at 10 weeks just so I can check all is still ok...do I win the prize for utter madness????

Missdee2014 · 10/08/2015 14:39

Maybe, I'm not taking anything for granted - I had a mc the day after my 12 week scan 9 years ago. Hence my paranoia. I won't settle properly til I can feel movement daily! Shock

Appt is at 9.45 but not Togo with a totally full bladder as won't be scanned straight away. She said to be comfortably full Shock and top up when I'm there.

maybebabybee · 10/08/2015 14:40

Missdee sorry about your previous MC. I'm also paranoid so totally understand how you feel!

Me624 · 10/08/2015 14:49

I think we're all paranoid! I had a private scan at 8+1 which showed all was well and a strong heartbeat, but I'm still worrying loads about my 12 week one Sad hoping that once I get passed that milestone I'll feel more relaxed!

maybebabybee · 10/08/2015 14:50

me what was your bean's HB if you don't mind me asking? I like to know others :)

Rosieblossom123 · 10/08/2015 14:57

Don't get me wrong girls I won't be 100% relaxed I know I panic all the time so I agree with you Miss when I feel daily movement that's when I'll be a bit reassured, see the epu never told me anything about coming in with a full bladder?! my appointment is at 11:15, Never taking anything for granted, fingers crossed for us ladies!!

Maybe you're not mad haha I'll be doing the same thing trust me

maybebabybee · 10/08/2015 15:01

rosie you'll probably get a transvaginal scan rather than an abdominal one, it's much more reliable at the early stage. You need an empty bladder for a transvaginal one, so they'll probably ask you to do a wee when you get there if your bladder is full.

QforCucumber · 10/08/2015 15:01

They didn't tell me the heartbeat for mine, you could see it as a little flash but didn't tell me the rate - that kinda worries me.

Had booking appt last Tuesday so just a waiting game for the scan letter now, even though I'm a lot happier seeing it wriggling away on the screen yesterday I'm still worried, previous losses just seem to be darkening all of us at the moment.

Herewegoagain31 · 10/08/2015 15:07

Good luck for all the scans over the next few days ladies!! It is nervewracking for sure. Mine is on Thursday so a few days to go yet. I'm trying to stay busy to take my mind off it. I got so nervous before DD's 12 week scan I didn't sleep a wink the night before and was a mess in the scan so I'm going to try to relax a bit more this time!

Rosieblossom123 · 10/08/2015 15:10

maybe oh okay, what I'll do is i'll drink a little bit just in case its an abdominal scan and if it is transvaginal then i'll go for a wee before!

I'll be totally honest the only time I will be happy and relieved is when my baby is in my arms! Bring on 7 months of worrying and stressing out!

Me624 · 10/08/2015 15:29

maybe and Q, they didn't tell me the heart rate at my scan either - they just said it was a good strong heartbeat.

lilmisshopeful · 10/08/2015 15:41

Wow thread is busy today! We're going to need thread #3 soon Smile

Missdee2014 · 10/08/2015 16:13

I would go comfortable Rosie, if you're anything like me it doesn't take much to fill my bladderShock I'll have water with my breakfast and probably take a bottle with me and that'll be more than enough for me to be bursting I expect ????

Rosieblossom123 · 10/08/2015 16:14

Miss yep I'm like you doesn't take me long haha good luck tomorrow hun :)

Missdee2014 · 10/08/2015 16:20

Thank you, and you ???????? sure we'll all be fine x

Paperblank · 10/08/2015 16:39
