Not started a new thread before, so I'll give it a go....

Hi all not been on for a while but had a scan a week ago and showed a heartbeat with measurements almost exactly right. After a previous mmc I just couldn't believe it and me and DH both cried out eyes out. The sonographer could not stop laughing at us. Anyway that made me happy for a whole day and now I'm back to being cautious again as I know things can still go wrong!
For those with lessening symptoms, my need to wee had gone last week so I was convinced something was wrong but that was before the scan so pretty sure that didn't mean anything. My other symptoms (slight nausea, headaches, heart palpitations) have all eased off a lot since I have been 9 weeks and I hear this is quite common. Hope this is of some reassurance to those in a similar position.

Indomitable · 07/08/2015 09:12

Cherry that's great news. And glad to hear the weeing has eased off. (I wee so much in the night I lose count now!)

I'm 7 weeks today! Booking in next weekend. I expect I'll get a scan date for after school starts (though I'm hoping since I convinced the mw to book me in earlier than she normally would that my scan will come through earlier too).

marmitemofo · 07/08/2015 09:15

got my scan date today! 25th August Grin so excited!

nausea has returned with a vengeance the last couple of days.. feel so awful. going to meet up with some NCT friends this morning and debating whether to tell them, purely out of necessity to explain why I look like crap!!

lilmisshopeful · 07/08/2015 09:24

Brilliant news cherry! The chances of everything staying ok from her after a scan like that are pretty high so try not to worry. Hard I know. I have had 3 mmcs so still not totally believing that everything will be fine with this one even though our scan at 7+5 showed all fine. (Things had already gone wrong by then on last two pgs).

marmite we're scan buddies! Bring on August 25th :-)

Me624 · 07/08/2015 09:37

Great news cherry.

I'm 10 weeks today. The fact that it's double figures feels like a bit of a milestone! Stupid I know. I have never known 12 weeks to go so slowly in my life. Two more to go until my scan!

BeautifulLiar · 07/08/2015 10:25

Same, me, and really it's only 8 weeks!!

julesldn · 07/08/2015 11:26

Amazing news Cherry!

Marmite and Lilmiss - I'm your scan buddy too ???????? 2 and a half weeks to go and counting!!

Me624 · 07/08/2015 13:21

beautiful thinking about it, I got my bfp on 5+0 (didn't test before then because I didn't want the disappointment!) so I've only actually known for 5 weeks, crazy, seems like forever!

BeautifulLiar · 07/08/2015 13:56

It is soooo slow. Especially when I'm only leaving the house once a week! The neighbours have noticed now and are wondering what's up with me...

maybebabybee · 07/08/2015 13:59

Feel so gross today. Can't wait til the day I actually feel like eating fruit and veg again and not just plain pasta :S

BeautifulLiar · 07/08/2015 14:30

I forgot fruit and veg existed actually...

maybebabybee · 07/08/2015 14:32

beautiful so glad it's not just me!!!

BeautifulLiar · 07/08/2015 15:04

Definitely not just you!! I'm getting through this by thinking of last time. first trimester I was best friends with the toilet bowl. Second trimester I was spending hours creating new recipes and stuff!!

Rosieblossom123 · 07/08/2015 15:09

Beautiful same here I just find everything disgusting :( had Chinese last night and didn't even enjoy it :'( I was a massive fan of olives and now they make me feel sick can't even look at them, has anyone else had this were they're off something they use to absolutely love?

julesldn · 07/08/2015 15:13

I'm the same! Used to eat stir frys and brown rice and just general healthy meals most days. Now the thought of a spoonful of brown rice and some veg makes me wretch. So fed up of this first trimester - willing the days to pass!!!!

Rosieblossom123 · 07/08/2015 15:28

It's horrible isn't it :( don't want to keep moaning because some people would die to be in our position but I just hate not being myself, always tired, sick and miserable lol bring on the second trimester, fingers crossed!

Celen · 07/08/2015 15:33

Been away so not been able to catch up with you all yet!

But had an early scan this morning at 7+5, and I've got a blueberry sized baby with a lovely little heartbeat so very pleased. I'm measuring 6+6 according to the sonographer but don't want to go backwards! Grin I was so nervous but feel perhaps I can get a bit excited now after my MC in November.

julesldn · 07/08/2015 15:55

Exactly rosie - feel like all im doing is complaining at the moment which isn't fair but can't help it, just feeling so exhausted and miserable with it all!

Celen - hope you had a lovely holiday! Glad the scan went well for you ????

Strawclutching · 07/08/2015 16:05

Hi everyone I joined (under a different user name) the group but dropped out after having a miscarriage 2 weeks ago. On Wednesday I was told a mistake had been made and I am still pregnant. It's a miracle. Can I come back in?

maybebabybee · 07/08/2015 16:26

straw that is amazing, how on earth could they make a mistake like that?!

very happy for you!

celen lovely scan news :)

I just did 17 minutes of my exercise DVD. That was all I could manage!

BeautifulLiar · 07/08/2015 16:29

So tuna is fucking awful to throw up.

My 2 year old was so sweet though. Just by chance she wanted a wee at the same time so was lucky enough to see me vomit. She rushed off to "get mummy's medicine" and came back clutching my folic acid Grin

Indomitable · 07/08/2015 16:29

Wow, Straw that must've been awful. But so glad you're back with us.

BeautifulLiar · 07/08/2015 16:30

congrats again straw!

QforCucumber · 07/08/2015 16:30

We welcome you back with more than open arms straw -what wonder new for you. I'm sure it was a huge shock too mind. Welcome welcome welcome.

QforCucumber · 07/08/2015 16:31
