awww Beautiful that's so cute. and gross. but cute.

just checking in to wave hello - had an early scan 7w6d and all good, Harmony test coming up on August 17th, NT scan 26th

Me624 · 07/08/2015 16:44

Wow straw that's amazing!

Great news for your scan too Celen. At my early scan they put me back by 4 days but told me that it wasn't too accurate that early so stick with LMP for now. I think the measurements they do at the 12 week one should be more accurate Smile

julesldn · 07/08/2015 16:58

Straw that's amazing!! Congrats!! Bet you're feeling overwhelmed right now. How did they manage to make that mistake?!?!

Celen · 07/08/2015 17:05

Holy shit straw!!! Who makes s mistake like that? Shock I bet you feel like you've been through the mill, what happened?

Herewegoagain31 · 07/08/2015 17:13

Wow straw that is amazing! How did they/you discover that they had made such a massive mistake?!

Strawclutching · 07/08/2015 17:33

Basically after the scan there was lots of sobbing etc but I couldn't shake off the feeling they'd made a mistake. They said they thought I was 8 weeks but I knew I wasnt. After 2 weeks of nothing happening I decided to have the operation on the condition of a scan being done first. The best moment of my life was when she said 'youre right, there's a heartbeat'. 3 doctors checked and all looked totally baffled. Rescan in 2 weeks to check all is well. Am still in a daze! Thanks for the welcome back.

BeautifulLiar · 07/08/2015 17:40

What an amazing story... miracles can happen then! Thanks

Cherrytoes · 07/08/2015 17:42

Thanks for all your lovely comments it's so nice to share these things on here with ladies in the same boat who understand how I feel.

Congrats Celen that's lovely news! Glad u feel able to relax a little more now.

Wow Straw! You've been through the mill it must have been amazing to hear that news, fingers crossed for a strong healthy pregnancy - for you and all of us on here

Cherrytoes · 07/08/2015 17:45

Oh and I am the opposite I am eating EVERYTHING!!!!

maybebabybee · 07/08/2015 17:54

Cherry I am eating loads too but only because if I don't my stomach feels utterly vile - I don't fancy any food at all.

Indomitable · 07/08/2015 18:06

I'm with Cherry, I've worked out that I need to eat every 2 hours or I go from feeling ropey to fucking heinous.

DH is catching on. He's been brilliant. (We're all off for the summer) he's been supplying endless toast and willing to cook whatever I fancy. And he's entertained DS (well, in his own way). So much more understanding than last time. (I did spend 4 years harping on about how awful pregnancy was - I stand by that, I'm in this for a cute 1 year old).

Trinpy · 07/08/2015 18:41

Welcome back Straw! Such amazing news. Thank god you insisted on a rescan. I hope all goes well at your scan in 2 weeks (and for the rest of your pregnancy!).

Beautiful your 2 year old sounds so sweet!

Well over here in the infected household ds and I are both feeling a little worse for wear but slowly recovering. Dh got the stomach bug too last night - unbelievably when he called in sick to work they tried to convince him to come in anyway Shock.

Also I've got a date for my first scan - 3rd September. I'll be 12+1 going on my lmp but by my dates I will only be 10+5 so it will be interesting to see where they put me.

Poppins27 · 07/08/2015 21:27

Wow, so pleased for you straw, amazing news!!!

I'm also completely off fruit and veg, and am a regular love of all things healthy!! Teas this week have consisted of plain new potatoes, plain pasta...but tonight I dared have a bagel and peanut butter!! Missing real meals but all food is making me feel grim and giving me horrendous indigestion!!

I feel soooo 'full' today, like from my shoulders to waistline is expanding from the inside out. So uncomfortable!!

Fed up of being such a moany hag!!

Herewegoagain31 · 07/08/2015 21:36

Poppins I'll join you with the moaning!
I've come down with a filthy cold today and I feel like death!
Sickness + exhaustion + grotty cold = pretty miserable times. Thank the lord it's the weekend so DH is home to help with DD

Herewegoagain31 · 07/08/2015 21:37

On the plus side had my booking appt today which was nice, even though they don't do anything it does make you feel a bit more like this is real and happening!

Poppins27 · 07/08/2015 22:01

Haha thank you for the support herewegoagain!! I remember now why I left it 4 years since last being like this!!

Yay to being booked in too, I got forms etc to complete yesterday and have mine on Wed, again I know it's a paper exercise pretty much, but being able to talk about it out loud to someone makes it feel so much more real!!

LaraNotCroft22 · 07/08/2015 22:20

Wow straw! What an amazing story, so glad you insisted on the rescan.

I'm another struggling to eat. I seem to feel worse in the evenings at the moment.

Excited though as out scans start next week and mine is Wednesday. Counting down the days!

Me624 · 08/08/2015 05:26

Hope you feel better soon, Here. I had s grotty cold all last week and it was miserable.

Currently awake after the most horrible vivid dream about these huge flying spiders ... can't try and go back to sleep yet for fear they come back in my next dream!

missnatalie · 08/08/2015 08:12

Welcome back Straw. Thank god you pushed for that second scan!
I had my dating scan yesterday and dates were spot on. Im 9w 3d and due March 9th. We have a very wriggly raspberry in there. He / she is 2.5cm long with a HB of 178bpm. Sickness is still horrendous. I hate feeling like this. I know i shouldn't moan but i just feel awful. Found a new love for Nutella. I could live of that stuff right now Grin

LaraNotCroft22 · 08/08/2015 08:36

Great news miss Natalie!! That's a good string heartbeat! Will your next scan be at 20 weeks now?

Also having vivid dreams Me, dreamt I went to a restaurant and it was so so awful and when I complained they shouted at me! So random...

Hope everyone has lovely plans for the weekend. It's gorgeous and sunny here in Cornwall Smile

May even try and get out the house haha x

Indomitable · 08/08/2015 08:47

Morning,

Lara, which end of Cornwall are you in? I'm not far.

lilmisshopeful · 08/08/2015 08:49

straw your story is just amazing! You must be so relieved, and probably exhausted too from the whole roller coaster. Hard to imagine how they could make a mistake like that!?! All's well that ends well :-)

natalie great news about your dating scan! Same here with the relentless nausea. Also eating waaaay too much Nutella. Oops

LaraNotCroft22 · 08/08/2015 08:56

Morning Indomitable, I kinda middle, near ish Newquay way Smile

QforCucumber · 08/08/2015 10:04

Warm and sunny here in the north east too - 2 loads of washing on the line already and another one in.
Went out for a meal last night, starter I managed fine, then I paid £12 for a main to eat 3 whole pieces of pasta before feeling so full I felt sick. What a waste.

MyNameIsSuz · 08/08/2015 10:28

Hot and sunny here too in the home counties, and we have planned an exciting day of... looking at kitchens. Oh well, the splash park can wait until tomorrow, poor ds.

Q, I hope you had them box it up for you to take home! I did the same at a Thai place a couple of weeks ago.
