Not started a new thread before, so I'll give it a go....

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Rosie, my appointment came through really quickly this time but last time it was ages after my booking in and I was almost 12 weeks before I heard anything with my scan at over 13 weeks. The midwife this time said it was all in their system (but she couldn't tell me as they were having IT trouble, so said I could ring up and ask later if my letter was taking ages), could you ring your midwife and ask her?

Poppins27 · 06/08/2015 09:36

I may be tempting fate here re pregnacare, I took that last time I was pregnant with Dd and was massively sick from 6 weeks to about 20, really felt horrendous.

This time I've taken folic acid on it's own and although I've had nausea and have gone off a lot of foods etc, I'm far better than last time! (So far!!)

Hope it's works for those that were planning on changing!!

BeautifulLiar · 06/08/2015 09:37

Rosie i haven't been booked in yet but I did get scan letter through the post. You're doing really well continuing with work xx

Rosieblossom123 · 06/08/2015 09:55

My oh okay, i'm just so impatient that's why haha I'll give her a ring maybe the end of next week if I don't receive anything. My partner gets home before me so everyday I phone him asking about the post ahaha he had enough of me!!

Beautiful Really? I thought you had to go to the booking app first, maybe every hospital is different! thanks hun, I'm really struggling though my boss was talking to me and I had to run off to the toilet to be sick, I just would prefer it if I was at home resting :(

Poppins That's weird I think it might be the pregnacare that's making me feel like this! I'm constantly feeling sick and shitty and don't want to eat :(

dobbythedoggy · 06/08/2015 10:00

The awful cloud of constant exhaustion is starting to lift and it's so nice not to feel completely worn out ALL of the time. The past few days I got dressed in the day and actually managed to get out of the house. Took dd for a walk along the old train tracks, got dh to help do a bit of shopping and treated dd to a lovely but expensive pair of new trainers yesterday. I'm wiped out afterwards but I feel so much better for managing to do something other than sit on the sofa.

treehouse google 'fanny daggers' I got them when I was pregnant with dd and they scared me to begin with. I've had a few earlier on with this one too. As far as I understand the sharp pain is caused by the cervic pulling up higher. I think it's meant to be a good but painful sign of things going well.

I'm watching the post like a hawk for scan date by the dates the midwife has used I'm 10+1 today, ahead of where the first early scan put me. But means scan should be done before the end of the month. 9+3 going by the measurments taken at the first scan I had, looking forward to finding out a due date for sure and knowing that everything is still well. Although slightly worried about finding childcare for dd, don't think either parent of my parents is going to be able to give enough notice to get some time off work. Just got to hope it falls at a time one of them is at their less formal jon so she could go play there for a couple of hours. I've got a couple who knows who I could ask but would feel terriable about doing so as I know she likely just to scream. They'd cope, both have a child care background...

BeautifulLiar · 06/08/2015 10:26

Yeh the midwife rang me and within 2 days I had the scan letter. Although weirdly it took longer to get the booking appt, and I'll be 11 weeks when it's time for that Confused

I definitely don't feel like "me" yet but touch wood I do feel a bit better. Not enough to get dressed and go out though Blush

Rosieblossom123 · 06/08/2015 10:50

Beautiful that's so lucky hun, I just want to see my little bean lol it's okay the appointment was so long lol

touch wood I start feeling better too, hate being sick, and defo don't have the energy to get dress or anything If I could stay in my comfy pjs for the next few weeks I'd happily do that Wink Hahaha

Herewegoagain31 · 06/08/2015 11:12

Please tell me if i am being a crazy lady but I swear I can feel the baby - I'm only 10+5.. is that possible? The internet says it is impossible because they are not strong enough, but it is different to gas bubbles (admittedly I have been having a lot of those too!) and feels exactly like DD did when I first felt her. Maybe I'm imagining things

Indomitable · 06/08/2015 11:31

People thinking of dropping the multivits- have you tried taking them last thing at night? It might help? (Unless you're already suffering with night nausea)

maybebabybee · 06/08/2015 11:36

I have to say I always take my folic acid last thing in the evening with my mid-evening snack and I have noticed that makes me feel better than taking them in the morning.

I've got the pregnacare and also just folic acid (with no vit D, just folic acid on its own as doctor said I didn't need to bother with anything else) and I alternate between the two.

Not at work today because of the tube strike so having a nice chilled out day in pyjamas writing my dissertation :)

Herewego I would think it super unlikely that you could feel movement this early, but who knows!!!

Rosieblossom123 · 06/08/2015 11:37

Indomitable I might actually try that, I'm normally feeling a bit better at night so I might start taking just before going bed! Thanks hun

maybebabybee · 06/08/2015 11:38

Re 12 week scan date, I have my booking appt next week Wednesday when I'll be 10+3 (although bubba was measuring 2 days ahead on my 8 week scan the other day) so I assume my scan appointment will come through after that...who knows though. I'll be 12 weeks over the August bank holiday. Feels like ages away at the moment!

Rosieblossom123 · 06/08/2015 11:49

maybe same here i'll be 12 weeks on the 26th August so just before the bank holiday weekend! Really hoping to get a scan before because we have a family gathering on sat 29th so it'll be nice to announce it to the family with a picture, fingers crossed

BeautifulLiar · 06/08/2015 12:11

Omg I just really panicked. Had a very sharp pain when I coughed... upon googling it appears to be round ligament pain and completely normal. I thought I'd dislodged the baby or something! 4th baby and I'm back to being clueless...

SIL has cleaned my house, made me a pack up and is taking the kids to the park so I plan to sit on the sofa watching Wentworth.. yay to tube strikes too!

Me624 · 06/08/2015 12:44

I'm feeling anxious today too. I haven't had many symptoms throughout (no sickness at all) but the few I had - needing to wee more often and feeling exhausted - seem to have got less. I haven't woken up in the night to wee for several days, though I have had a cold so I could be a bit dehydrated. And I haven't been feeling as exhausted though still tired. 2 weeks until my scan - I just need to stop worrying as what will be will be. It's hard though!

Rosieblossom123 · 06/08/2015 12:46

Beautiful i get that all the time I first though might be ectopic but apparently it's normal!

You're so lucky! not yay to tube strike for me as the roads are so busy :( had to stop on the hard shoulder to be sick Blush

Trinpy · 06/08/2015 13:07

Try not to worry me - symptoms do come and go at this stage.

I forgot about round ligament pain Beautiful. I had it the other day and the memories of weird first trimester aches and pains all came flooding back!

Good news is that after a horrible night last night, ds woke up full of beans and back to his usual self. Bad news is that I've caught the stomach bug too Sad. I'd happily go back to morning sickness now.

sherazade · 06/08/2015 13:28

I finally quit those disgusting pregnacare and the stomach cramps have gone. I had a few days break from supplement taking and am going to start taking plain folic acid from today.

Sorry to hear about your grandma, Q.

maybebabybee · 06/08/2015 13:34

me are you about 10 weeks? I read it is quite normal for symptoms to begin easing off at this point...something to do with the placenta taking over from the yolk sac.

Me624 · 06/08/2015 14:38

maybe yes I'm 9+6! That's a relief to know that symptoms could be easing off now. I'm never normally an anxious person and overall I'd say I haven't been to bad so far but it's just such a new and scary time! Thank goodness we have mn and threads like this for reassurance.

JoannaZZ · 06/08/2015 14:57

Beautiful and Miss, here's another scan date buddy :) I will be about 13+5 then (already had a scan at 8+4). Hope we all get to see a big healthy mini-baby on 2nd September!!

julesldn · 06/08/2015 16:45

Glad some of you are starting to get your scan dates through! So exciting :)

I had an awful day today - tube strike meant walking to work (an hour and 15) but woke up feeling dizzy and exhausted even after 8 hours sleep. Got in, saw a client and thank god she left her used coffee cup in the meeting room as i had to throw up in it ???????????? was awful, I really hope no one walked past and saw me!!!!

Dizziness didn't go so came home at 12 and have slept since then but dizziness still not gone! Any ideas to make it go away? Fed up of symptoms now!!

QforCucumber · 06/08/2015 16:51

Oh no jules sounds awful, hope you feel better soon.
Luckily being in the north east I'm not affected by tube strikes so work as normal for me.
Not feeling too bad, so unbelievably windy though - burps and pumps all day long!
Got grannys funeral booked and room in her care home cleared yesterday, feel like I'm more ok than expected - supporting my dm I guess. You're all so lovely with your well wishes.

BeautifulLiar · 06/08/2015 16:53

Waving to joanna Grin bring on the scans x

Lucy61 · 06/08/2015 21:03

I too have dropped the pregnacare and I'm just taking folic acid. I feel so much better; no stomache cramps, less trips to the loo and not half as quesy as before.
