Not started a new thread before, so I'll give it a go....

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Paperblank · 09/08/2015 21:45

jules I'd ring the GP. It's probably one of those things, but if you're anything like me I'd worry, pregnancy should come with a warning - I worry about everything at the moment!

Paperblank · 09/08/2015 21:47

Here

Sorry to hear you're feeling crappy. Hope you feel better soon Thanks

Herewegoagain31 · 09/08/2015 22:25

Thanks paper!

maybebabybee · 10/08/2015 08:28

Morning all, how are we feeling?

9+1 today (or 9+3 going by scan measurements) and my boobs seem to have dropped in soreness. Feeling a bit worried :S

Me624 · 10/08/2015 08:34

I'm 10+3 today and I've noticed my boobs aren't feeling as sore maybe. It comes and goes.

Just been for my booking in blood tests. I booked in 3 weeks ago but here you have to go and have the bloods done separately - it's just a turn up and wait clinic rather than being given an appointment and I've been busy at work so not got round to it until now! I don't love blood tests, can't look while they do it Confused

MyNameIsSuz · 10/08/2015 09:02

I'm 9+3 today too and symptoms have also been much less for the last week or so. Sickness went but I got more tired. Boobs are less sensitive but still hurt when I push them. Constipation gone and skin fine. Actually I'm feeling a little sick again this morning, though that might be more to do with the lingering smell of last night's curry Confused

I think they do often tail off at this point, hopefully nothing to worry about.

Good luck today me, I hate blood taking too and I've got to go back for mine on Wednesday - I always end up going back as I have really rubbish veins, they always try and I just get two bruised elbows and nothing to show for it.

MyNameIsSuz · 10/08/2015 09:02

Oh oops, just realised you've already been. Hope it wasn't too awful.

Me624 · 10/08/2015 09:58

Thanks Suz, it wasn't too bad, I've had to have a lot of them this year as I was severely anaemic and kept having to go back every month so I'm sort of uses to it now but I just can't look! Luckily I don't bruise and they have never had any problems finding a vein. I'd like to give blood but I can't bear the thought of sitting there for 15-30 minutes getting a whole pint out!

lilmisshopeful · 10/08/2015 09:58

Sorry I am so totally behind on the thread. Still feeling grim (though no sore boobs - haven't really had that at all and didn't when I was pg with dd either). I'm away on holiday on the south coast with my sisters. DP at home doing much needed work in the garden so I'm solo parenting which is tough when feeling so rubbish. Hats off to all those amazing parents who do this alone all the time. 4am start this morning...held out until 6 before I let her watch CBeebies :-)

lilmisshopeful · 10/08/2015 10:01

Good luck to those having scans and blood tests today. Forgot pg was blood test central. Yuck. I had to have one test a week for the last 6 weeks of my pg with dd as my platelet level kept decreasing and I'd been hoping for a home birth. (Ha! That so didn't happen). At least means I'm slightly less terrified of having blood taken as I just had to get used to it

maybebabybee · 10/08/2015 10:09

remind me who on this thread is having baby no 1? Most of you all seem to be having second or subsequent babies - I feel very inexperienced! :)

Rosieblossom123 · 10/08/2015 10:14

shield Thanks will keep you updated. So nervous they phoned me today to confirm that I will be coming in tomorrow. They sound lovely, can't wait to see my little olive fingers crossed!

Rosieblossom123 · 10/08/2015 10:15

maybe I'm having baby no 1 :)

maybebabybee · 10/08/2015 10:17

oh good rosie, we can be clueless together :)

QforCucumber · 10/08/2015 10:58

maybe I'm baby number 1 too, terrified and also excited haha!

Me624 · 10/08/2015 11:01

maybe I'm another baby #1 and I'm totally clueless! I've never changed a nappy ... never held a baby for longer than about 10 minutes ... keep meaning to buy a book and do some reading but haven't got round to it yet!

Rosieblossom123 · 10/08/2015 11:16

maybe so true haha i've got a step-son who's 4 I've been with my partner since his son was 18 months so I've practiced the nappy changing etc. not the waking up every two hours tho lol

maybebabybee · 10/08/2015 11:23

I've been around babies all my life as I'm the oldest of 4 siblings...so I have done nappy changes, held babies etc....but suspect the reality of actually parenting will be very different!

If I'm perfectly honest the baby stage doesn't phase me particularly (at the moment anyway, god knows what I'll be like in 7 months' time!) - it's more the 'kid' stage I worry about!

dobbythedoggy · 10/08/2015 11:33

Had a phone call this morning from the antinatel team at the hospital. So '12' week scan booked in for this friday at 10.30! Suprisingly I actually feel quite excited by the prospect at the moment. By the dates the midwife used I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow, but the dates I was given by the first scan at epau don't put me at 11 weeks until monday. Hopefully the second scan which wasn't dated was right that I was further along, as dh is very keen to have the combine test which starts at 11 weeks. Although I won't be upset in the slightest if we have to go in again for another scan to get it done. Looks like dd will be coming with us as childcare is proving difficult to source, most of our friends with children are away camping until monday and her grandparents may not have enough notice to arrange a couple of hours off work.

Brightened me up after feeling appaling all of yesterday. I very rarely get ill, but had a headache I just couldn't shift all yesterday and nose was pouring with snot all morning. Not fun being sick when you can't breath through your nose. Luckily all seemed to clear by the time I went to bed last night, was very strange.

Rosieblossom123 · 10/08/2015 11:54

maybe same here I've always been around kids, mum had twins when I was 13 and another one when I was 15 so loved doing all the duties I agree about when they're older and have their own personality it's scary!

dobby that's brilliant news it's so exciting when you've got a date isn't it! I'm so nervous about tomorrow can't stop thinking about it.

julesldn · 10/08/2015 12:37

Maybe - im also baby #1!

I've worked as a nanny before so perfectly happy with when they're 2 or 3 and above but the baby stage - argh, I'm clueless!

Me624 · 10/08/2015 12:42

Think you might be our first 12 week scan dobby! Mine can't come quick enough (a week on Friday)

maybebabybee · 10/08/2015 12:46

not received my 12 week scan date yet. Got my booking appointment on Wednesday so hopefully it will come through some time after that, but I won't be 12 weeks til the August bank holiday so I guess it'll be the first week of September-ish.

Cherrytoes · 10/08/2015 13:02

First for me too!

LaraNotCroft22 · 10/08/2015 13:21

Yay on the scan date dobby!

Mines this Wednesday which is sooo exciting, counting the hours!

I think someone said they have their scan today or tomorrow so all in all an exciting week with 12 week scan starting then coming thick and fast Smile
