Raines100 · 07/07/2015 06:58

Congratulations must! Sounds very dramatic but at least he's finally here. Can't believe how patient you were. Love the name Sebastian.

Loving all the baby news coming in. Full term/37 weeks for me today.

Naturegirl82 · 07/07/2015 07:23

Congratulations must

LaLaLaaaa · 07/07/2015 07:34

Wow! Congratulations must! He's finally here with a dramatic entrance after all your waiting Grin enjoy your newborn cuddles today and I hope you recover quickly and are allowed home soon.

I'm 39 weeks today and very ready now to have my baby. He's been in right position now for weeks and engaged fully for a week so it's just a case of waiting until he's ready now.

Was spoiled by my friends at my baby party last night, I'm not a fan of baby showers but they wanted to do something so I hosted it at my house and provided the food and they brought games and presents. It was lovely.

Very tired and my hips are agony (SPD) so just looking forward to my wee one finally being here.

Charliej86 · 07/07/2015 07:55

Wow congratulations must.

10 years since 7/7 bombings. I remember watching it all on this morning in hospital. I was in and out being monitored for high blood pressure with my dd (she was born 8days later by section at 36+6)
It's scary to think about and the fact that we're in very similar situations recently.

SueV14 · 07/07/2015 07:55

Congratulations must! Glad you are feeling well.

MrsFbabyNo1 · 07/07/2015 09:50

Congrats huffs, great news.

Yippee must!!! When he was ready to come he bloody made it known didn't he. Love the nane Sebastian (one of our top names, though I'm loving our second choice at the mo). Glad you're feeling well.

Good luck JoY - any further progress?

Hi FattyMc, you might end up with a water birth then if you're in the bath so much. Grin Hope you're doing OK.

Happy bday Charlie and hope you have a lovely day. Lala sounds like you had fab party too.

Midwife apt later, 38+5 so see if engaged to any extent! Exciting. Feels lower due to how often need to wee now.

Yes Broody not sure if I'd want a sweep either. Will try some of the nicer things first. I've been drinking rl tea for last week, taking daily evening primrose oil tablets and x2 dtd weekly (is that enough, or should it be mega lots!? A little bit should help though eh). Then might book another preggo massage on d day with some clary sage oil...

MuddyWellyNelly · 07/07/2015 10:02

Congratulations Must. He came when he was good and ready! Hope you feel better soon. Great name too.

I'm another who is term today. In hospital waiting to be seen but just for regular monitoring. Was having tiny uterine contractions, on Friday but can't feel anything so let's see what happens.

Sherbet38 · 07/07/2015 10:05

Congratulations must Smile

SueV14 · 07/07/2015 10:55

In case anyone else will be looking at baby monitors, I thought the result of my hours of work invested in this spreadsheet should be shared. However the discount on the Angelcare ones was only available until midnight last night. I grabbed the £79.99 one but considering putting either BT or Motorola on my gift list, so might return Angelcare if I get another one as a present :)

BadIdeaBear · 07/07/2015 11:07

Congratulations must. Sebastian clearly got bored with all the faffing about too. What a dramatic night and glad your waiting is now over!

broodylicious · 07/07/2015 13:14

So at 38+1, dh finally decides that actually he does need to be involved in thinking about baby names! He's sent three quite decent possibilities for girls this morning and I'm assuming boys names may follow this afternoon. Honestly, nothing like cutting it fine! Anyone else's dh/dp/oh like this too?

MuddyWellyNelly · 07/07/2015 13:27

Broody mine is engaged in the process but we still don't even have a worthwhile long list!

Thepurplegiraffe · 07/07/2015 14:03

I have been asking DH for a list of names for weeks but nothing has been forthcoming. As the baby is coming tomorrow I think we are just going to have to go with what we have and hope that something fits when we see it tomorrow. There is nothing we both love though!

Thepurplegiraffe · 07/07/2015 14:04

Meant to say congratulations Must and Huff. So glad your ordeal is over Must and you can focus on your new arrival!

JoY007 · 07/07/2015 17:31

Hello Ladies,

Congratulations must whoop whoop!!!! hugs and xxx

Strangely enough I was woken around that time with very strong contractions, got in bath, relief!

Called DU was told to come in for monitoring as I was worried re movements - baby fine, good movements, and kicks.

My cervix still closed mw tried for a sweep but no luck Sad

Now I am having the contractions every 5-10 minutes painful but no improvement, how long does it take FTM to go into established labour Sad I am in so pain and discomfort Sad. Given strong painkillers in hospital but does not make a difference, at home now. Every time the contractions start I cannot do anything but concentrate on it. Poor me!

Clstow · 07/07/2015 18:44

Huge congratulations Huffs and Must - Sebastian is a gorgeous name.

Happy birthday Charlie, hope you're having a lovely day.

All sounds a bit frustrating JoY - hopefully not long now till LO arrives.

Loving the birth announcements, keep them coming ladies!
