Congratulations Naty Smile

No news after your sweep lala? Mine is tomorrow... last chance before induction on Friday! Back ache woke me up last night, so I was hopeful something might happen, but alas nothing !

40+10 (!)

MuddyWellyNelly · 21/07/2015 10:27

Congratulations on all the new arrivals. 39 weeks here. Nothing happening at all. Hospital for monitoring again today though so at least I get checked. They will attempt a sweep if they can. It's too early to my mind, but as I'm booked for induction at 39+6 then I guess it's worth trying.

broodylicious · 21/07/2015 11:46

joy, don't worry hun, you can't possibly over feed a breastfed baby xx

Thanks broody as OH and I were getting worried.

MrsFbabyNo1 · 21/07/2015 14:14

I'm totally at ease with the emcs under general, Im thinking it's like I dreamed him into life. Get this.. v weirdly I had sung to him savage gardens "I knew I loved you before I met you, I think I dreamed you into life" as our song when preggo to try to use on him when born to soothe him (as has a v recognisable tune).

I actually remember lots before being put to sleep and totally feel I was expertly looked after and we all were doing what needed to be done to get our baby here safely. Defo recommend having the chance to ask Qs, as it really helps understand. I'm also a nosey so and so, so gonna book an appointment to read through my notes at a later date! I get more emotional thinking what could have been if we'd not acted so promptly and lost him. I would do it again in a heart beat.

Muddy, sorry for the delay... the meconium waters were totally obvious. I was just going for wee, then at the end I noticed several big droplets / globs of greeny/brown/blue stuff. Just knew it was my waters with meconium in it. Not that anyone explains to you before it happens thou but as soon as meconium in waters happens you are then high risk as baby is in distress and you'd have to be continuously monitored in labour there on.

Congrats to jmojo, naty1, badidea, and charlie. Hope you are all recovering well. Plus sounds like you are getting good care for the bladder sensitivity JoY.

Won't be long for those in waiting now, sherbet, lala, muddy looking forward to hearing your news v soon too I'm sure.

Still no name for our little dudeShock Shock but will do a pic and name update soon...

MrsFbabyNo1 · 21/07/2015 14:26

Oh and sorry forgot broody too, hope d day mark yesterday means it won't be too much longer for you too.

fattymc, how are you getting on? x

MuddyWellyNelly · 21/07/2015 14:45

Thanks MrsF, no worries at all about the delay, I'm guessing you have your hands full Wink. I love the song story! You sound like you have a very good approach to the birth.

Sweep couldn't happen as cervix still closed. At only 39 weeks I guess it's no surprise but so many early babies have got my hopes up. Just desperate to avoid induction if possible. Ah well.

olympicsrock · 21/07/2015 14:51

Keeping my fingers crossed for sherbet muddy and lala. Sorry you had a crap experience naty.
I am in a bikini by the pool mumsnetting on my last day of freedom. Elcs tomorrow. Intermittently fearful but mostly chilled. Can't be worse than last time.
Don't worry too much about the back to back diagnosis at this point. For a start they can' t really tell for sure unless it was seen on a scan and they do rotate during early labour.
Blissful to be lying with my feet up instead of bouncing on the ducking ball doing star jumps lunges and eating curry and pineapple like last time. So this time tomorrow I will be a mummy of 2. Love to all of you. Xxx

Raines100 · 21/07/2015 15:11

Just got back from the consultant appointment. He's not worried that baby is small. He said she felt average. Measuring 36.5cm and 39 weeks but he said anything between 36-40cm is fine, so didn't even get a scan. Can't wait to be the other side of labour now and have her in my arms.

Good luck to those with an elcs tomorrow x

fattymcfatfat · 21/07/2015 16:04

Wow. Soo many babies.
Saw midwife this morning. I'm in latent phase of labour. Baby is fully engaged, just got to get these contractions to kick in proper, instead of having another sloooow labour.
Been put on iron at last, midwife brought it out to me. She has arranged a home visit for next week but reckons I will have given birth by then as everything is heading that way.
FX its tonight or tomorrow, I don't want another like DD where I was in slow labour for 18 days! 39+6 today, which is when I predicted he would be born, so he needs to get a move on.

MuddyWellyNelly · 21/07/2015 17:37

Raines the mw today vaguely waved a tape measure at me and seemed to come up with 32cms. At 39 weeks Shock. I was 36cms last time I was measured. That said I did feel less restricted getting in and out of bed last night so maybe LO has dropped a bit to make the bump smaller again.

Joy, apologies if I'm misunderstanding you, but is baby being fed expressed milk via a bottle? Clearly I've no real experience as I'm still waiting for dc1, but I think it could technically be possible to over feed in those circumstances? I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will correct me though. Hopefully baby is still just taking what he needs though.

BadIdeaBear · 21/07/2015 18:01

oh fatty 18 days of latent labour - I really hope you don't get that again. And it makes my time seem like nothing!

We're settling down well. Babybadidea has now left the house - we went for her newborn GP check yesterday and just kept on walking into town. Went to a cafe and had chips and a glass of wine. She then had her first feed out in the gardens opposite the venue me and DH got married - all felt nice and appropriate and a bit soppy!

fattymcfatfat · 21/07/2015 18:04

bad that sounds like a lovely day. I'm just excited to use my new pram now and hopefully be off the crutches!
Hows everyone holding up?

broodylicious · 21/07/2015 19:29

Aah bad, that's so lovely. We took dd to our wedding venue for lunch around her first birthday and our second wedding anniversary. It felt so emotional. We asked one of the staff members to take our photo on the bench where we'd been papped on our wedding day for a special momento. Will try to find it out....

BadIdeaBear · 21/07/2015 21:33

Oh that's so fabulous, broody, love it. Memories, places and pictures are SOOO important, aren't they?!

JoY007 · 21/07/2015 22:08

Awww Broody love the picture so adorable.

Muddy yes he is been fed expressed breast milk in a bottle. I do it for late night feeds and days when I have hospital appointment, which has been every other day Sad.

olympicsrock · 22/07/2015 04:18

Good luck raines and fatty. Muddy that sounds very neat. Hope the bump dropping means baby coming soon. Can't sleep. We leave for my c section in 160 mins time. M

olympicsrock · 22/07/2015 04:20

Meant to say love the photos broody what a gorgeous frock.x

Charliej86 · 22/07/2015 06:18

Hi, we're all settling in well, tho I'm looking forward to a quiet day. Midwife has had to come every day as Franky is a little jaundice since coming home, hopefully last blood test today but heel prick tomorrow my poor baby.

We've not been inundated with visitors but still no chance for afternoon naps so by evening I'm quite grumpy and OH is gettin the backlash.
Thankfully Franky is feeding and sleeping well, can sometimes go 3-4hours night or day so I can sleep on nights.
I'm still quite sore from tear so haven't crossed the doors much, may try a walk this afternoon or tomorrow.

Charliej86 · 22/07/2015 06:19

Forgot to say congratulations to all ladies with new babies and good luck to all that are still waiting.

Raines100 · 22/07/2015 07:12

Oh wow charlie. Franky is beautiful!

Stunning photos Broody. Gorgeous little family.

Good luck Olympic.looking forward to hearing your baby news.

Hope things go well for you Fatty. Can't imagine labouring so long!

32cms Muddy? Hmmm... Hmm
Ah well, as long as you're too sensible to worry!

Clstow · 22/07/2015 09:20

Gorgeous pic Charlie and great that you are managing to get a bit of sleep.

Best of luck to everyone still waiting - olympic looking forward to baby news later, a last day in the sun sounded ideal.

39+4 and waiting grumpily patiently, I am so crap at dealing with the unknown, I'd be fine if I knew when the baby was coming even if he was gonna be mega late but the suspense is killing me!

broodylicious · 22/07/2015 09:27

Aah thanks for the photo and dress love, ladies Smile xxx
