Wow congrats to MrsF and Charlie - hope you are both doing ok after what sound like two intense experiences Flowers

LostSoulsForever · 18/07/2015 21:27

Congrats Charlie & MrsF! We were due date buddies Mrs F but mine is still hanging on in there. Sorry to hear it was all a little dramatic but pleased it all turned out well in the end. Hope you are not suffering with the tear too much Charlie.

I am now 40+2 and feeling fed up. Whoever said preggers & toddler is hard work is not exaggerating. And I feel so guilty as I don't have the energy or patience to entertain DS (2 yrs) properly. As if the pregnancy hormones aren't bad enough I am struggling with guilt too :(

No significant signs of anything happening & am booked for a sweep in Tuesday.

How is everyone else feeling? All just playing the waiting game now!

Raines100 · 18/07/2015 22:12

Wow mrsF what an entrance to the world your little boy made! Glad all is well now and fx the BF takes off.

I'm fed up waiting for little miss to put in an appearance but I shouldn't be as still only 38+4. I do feel for you ladies that are overdue x

fattymcfatfat · 18/07/2015 23:23

Wow, congrats to mrsf and charlie Flowers
muddy I had meconium in my waters with DD. It is very noticeable, they were more yellow in colour instead of clear. My waters burst at the beginning of the pushing stage, all over the mw. As soon as I saw them I knew something wasn't quite right, luckily I was already dilated so she was born very quickly after that.

smallgreenbanana · 18/07/2015 23:37

More drama here! Long story but ended up have an emergency c-section! Not that it was an emergency for the baby - she was super fine the whole time.

So our daughter was born today, 8lb 5oz, lots of long hair!

Raines100 · 19/07/2015 03:33

Yay small! Congrats hon. Hope it wasn't traumatic and glad she is here safely.

It's 3:27am and I can't sleep. Never had insomnia with my first two and frankly could do without it now. Practise I suppose...

olympicsrock · 19/07/2015 06:19

Wow dramatic entrances for Charlie and Mrs f . Congratulations and well done to small and the even smaller green banana.
I am now 38 +4 and having elcs on Wednesday at 38 weeks after a failed 42 week induction and emcs last time. I am choosing not to have worst case scenario this time although shame that I will spend August and DH paternity leave not able to walk very far. Looking on with interest and hoping for no drama here. Good luck everyone x

Naturegirl82 · 19/07/2015 08:38

Congratulations for all the new arrivals. I hope you all recover quickly and settle in to life with you new babies.

Just plodding along here. This week seems to have flown by. I'd forgotten how much the little ones change in such a short amount of time.

BadIdeaBear · 19/07/2015 15:59

Just popping in with a quick update as I gave birth early Saturday morning after 44 hours in labour (32 of them early labour - took forever to ramp up). I was actually surprised when midwife said I was at 5cm - she said 'ah you hypnobirthing ladies - deadly and silent!'. Anyway, all was OK at home in the end, she was born just about in the pool, although she got stuck at the end (turns out she was a 9lber), so the final push was a bit of a yank with my leg up on the side of the pool before we got to sit on the edge.

SparklyPenguin · 19/07/2015 17:19

Congratulations all you new mummies! Some very dramatic entrances by the sound of things. Baby Sebastian and I came home on Tuesday after 5 nights in hospital, he's doing/feeding really well, and I'm healing slowly but surely from the episiotomy, stitches and blood loss. Good luck to all those having elcs or induction this week, can't wait to hear of even more July babies!

broodylicious · 19/07/2015 22:37

Congrats small and badidea! Lovely to hear of yet more July bubbas arriving (minus the dramatic bits thoughShock!)

I smell fire here, as I lay in bed with the window wide open as per usual. The rational, normal side of me says "neighbours are having a bonfire", while the totally irrational pregnant side of me says "fuck! our house or car is on fire!" and gets out of bed to check the house, garden and car! Blush????

Hi All I have been MIA too. I actually ended up with a due date baby 10 days ago. Had a spontaneous start, but at 9 cm opted for an emcs as the baby's head would not go down and obviously would not fit through my pelvis and was distressed from being banged on my pelvic brim for several hours.
Very pleased I went for c/s as they even struggled getting her out that way. I ended up with a hemorrage of 1600 mls. The staff were amazing. Anyway after 2 nights post del in hospital I came home. Slowly getting out and about. Baby jmojo is just divine and feeds well. She was 9lb 8.5 oz in the end. I am so in love! Smile

slightlyconfused85 · 20/07/2015 06:12

Congrats to all the new babies, so lovely! We've just made it through ds second night at home - doing really well and his big sister likes him (mostly). Feels much easier this time round as not so new. Looking forward to reading more news

Raines100 · 20/07/2015 06:23

Congratulations BadIdea and Jmojo! Enjoy those newborn snuggles.

Good luck for weds olympic

broodylicious · 20/07/2015 07:42

slightly, I'm praying that I'll be able to write that exact same post - hated our first few nights at home with dd and this time very worried about how she will react to baby (not so much the other stuff because as you say, it's old hat now).

Edd here today. Not feeling a chuffing thing different. Still, there's plenty of hours left in the day yet so lots of time to get started!

Morning Ladies,

Congratulations to mrsf, charlie,
jmojo and the other wonderful ladies who welcomed their bundle of joy.

Wow jmojo and mrsf quite a few of us with dramatic entrances and ending up with emcs. Hope you ladies are taking care of yourselves.
Glad that the babies are all doing fine. Enjoy gazing at them Grin

I am still feeling poorly came of codrydamol 2 days ago, bad idea! I developed the chills and intense pain.Sad. Back on it again and feeling so much better. Downside is because I am BF, my baby tends to sleep a lot because of the codeine Sad

Hospital appointment today to sort out bladder sensitivity. Wish me luck!

jmojo · 20/07/2015 08:26

joy try just paracetamol rather than codydramol. The paracetamol should take care of the chills.

LaLaLaaaa · 20/07/2015 08:35

Morning everyone and congratulations to the new mummies!

3rd sweep for me today - praying its favourable...

LaLaLaaaa · 20/07/2015 08:35

Oh - 40+6

Clstow · 20/07/2015 09:03

It's raining babies! Congrats to those with new arrivals and hang on in there frustrated waiters!

I'm 39+2 today, would love a DD baby but trying not to get too hopeful. Enjoying the peace while I can Wink

Charliej86 · 20/07/2015 12:02

Were home, after a long delay waiting on paperwork yesterday (labour ward was very busy leaving just 1 midwife on postnatal and a new computer system) had an awful nite in hospital no sleep at all. Much better nite at home. About 5 hours sleep so feel abit more human. DD is being very helpful and totally in love with her baby brother. DS1 isn't interested lol.

Naty1 · 20/07/2015 16:11

I had a girl 8lb8oz on fri. At 40+4, i had a failed sweep on tues. Contractions started 4pm thurs 5min apart down to 2min apart 40sec by 8pm so we went in. As i was feeling a temperature.
I was put on a trace as contractions slowed right down in car. Finally got examined 3cm. At some pt the mw did a sweep to get contractions going, had a show. Finally got to 5cm and req an epi. Had pethidine and g&a in 'meantime'
Luckily the pethidine and g&a worked a little better this time than last as apparently anaesthetist was too busy so no epi :(
2nd degree tear (labia) and some internal? From babys head being in correct position but something odd about shoulders.
Oddly the tear felt fine all day but started hurting later due to swelling i think
Felt like i would break dp hand.
Positively no intervention (unlike dc1) so baby has no ventouse shape and forceps mark. Though i think that was more dc1 position than the epidural.
We got let out the same day after 12hrs monitoring due to meconium in waters, they broke around baby's head.
Delayed a bit as noone available to do 1st day check on baby.
The ward was full so i was in delivery unit - in a 'room' to myself.

Congratulations on all the births.
I cant believe how much longer it took me compared to charlie with contractions the same time apart. Think i just get very frequent, ineffective but still painful) ones.

Hoping everyones stitches heal quickly.

Raines100 · 21/07/2015 07:01

Congrats Naty! Sorry you didn't get the pain relief you wanted but glad you delivered DD safely. Hope you'll recover quickly from tearing. Sure you've figured this out by now but I recommend pouring a cup of water over you when you pee to stop it stinging. Just enjoy your newborn snuggles now x

LaLaLaaaa · 21/07/2015 07:26

Congratulations naty!

Badedas in bath is meant to be v good for stitches

JoY007 · 21/07/2015 09:47

Hello Ladies,

Congratulations naty

Thanks jmojo will do that to wean myself of codrydamol. xx

Baby Dara is doing great, his grand mum aka my mum keeps over feeding him Confused with EBM. The cheeky monkey takes it and then gets grumpy because he is uncomfortable. I am producing so much that I have to express, he gets to feed direct about twice a day. I am also expressing because I have hospital appointments every other day to sort out my bladder, argghh! Off again today.Sad

How are the new arrivals and mammas doing? All the best again to the due and overdue ladies hang in there, not long to go xxx.
