teenie dh and I are the same - we had a mc I March and I had started bleeding the day after we had dtd for the first time since finding out I was pregnant. Totally coincidental and we have been reassured that it is fine but both of us don't want to risk it. Not quite sure when we'll get back on that particular bus..... neither of us are ready yet!

brickie glad your scan went well, but sorry you are having some probs. Do you usually have high bp? Glad you are being monitored closely. I wonder when my first consultant appointment will be?

Good luck to all those having scans today!

Joey0805 · 09/07/2015 09:47

B&W - thanks... I'm now on day 3 of this bug, managing to eat alright and drinking as much as possible so I am guessing there's no need to see a Dr? I feel so gross but no cramping or anything so I don't have any reason to think the baby is in any kind of trouble (avoiding googling as don't want to scare myself!!)...

Lookingforadvice123 · 09/07/2015 09:54

Morning everyone, off sick from work again today with yet another headache Sad really getting sick of these and I'm only 14+5...have the feeling that it's going to be a regular thing! Had woken up at 7am for work but haven't been able to get back to sleep so I'm exceptionally cranky!

Good luck to those having scans today!

On the dtd front I think me and dh have done it twice since finding out I was pregnant, and once was only last weekend! When my MS was bad it made me motion sick, now I just don't fancy it but going to try and get it going again!

Pugmumlondon · 09/07/2015 09:57

Whinge alert. Bastard tube strike.

3 hours. 2 trains, 2 buses and 20 mins of walking. For a journey that should take an hour.

Despite wearing my badge (although I'm only 11+4 I just can't do the tube without it anymore) only one person on my entire journey offered me a seat. Utter wankers.

Got to work and feeling sick and teary. My last meeting starts at 5pm and I just feel like I can't get out of it. Fucking crap.

Joey0805 · 09/07/2015 10:08

Pug - that is completely awful, I'm so sorry to hear that. Honestly do NOT feel bad about asking for a seat...lots of people genuinely don't look up and see the badge (and are mortified when they realise) and if someone is dreadful enough to see it and pretend they haven't (the worst!!) asking will almost certainly guilt them in to giving you the seat. I know it's uncomfortable asking - I hate it every time - but they make priority seats available for a reason and there are enough shit things about pregnancy - the seat on public transport is one of the few good things!!

Oysterbabe · 09/07/2015 10:09

Good luck scanners Grin

Re DTD, we've slowed down to about twice a week just because I'm so tired by the time we get to bed. I'm hoping for some energy once I'm safely in second trimester.

Joey0805 · 09/07/2015 10:11

"Slowed down" to twice a week...errr I am not letting DH read that!!! DTD has NOT been top of my agenda lately - I feel like an unsexy swollen whale most of the time...

loveulotslikejellytots · 09/07/2015 10:16

Pug that sounds awful. I know you've probably already thought of this, but can it be done by telephone?

Lookingforadvice123 · 09/07/2015 10:25

I LOL'ed at that too joey! Grin luckily DH totally understands but have to admit it was a lot more fun in that area before I was pregnant! Almost a shame I fell pregnant the first month of ttc as it was a fun month!

SleepyDragon · 09/07/2015 10:27

Teenie yes I noticed that... What an announcement stealer ay?! GrinWink

Joey and Oyster I haven't felt sexy in the slightest but 'the need' has been so high.... Although I must say 2 a week seems normal rather than slow lol!

Oysterbabe · 09/07/2015 10:28

Must be because we're newlyweds I guess Blush

SleepyDragon · 09/07/2015 10:28

looking totally agree, as much as I love the thought I'm gonna be a momma, I was really looking forward to the constant 'practising' lol!

SleepyDragon · 09/07/2015 10:29

Oyster I feel bad, we only got married in November! Lol!!!!

kep1979 · 09/07/2015 10:39

I LOL'ed at that too oyster - we were trying for three years so the novelty had kind of worn off - dh called it "utility sex". I was quite looking forward to getting our "normal" relatively active sex life back again, but we are both petrified. Plus I haven't felt at all sexy, and been asleep by 8.30pm most nights.

lookingfor I feel your headache pain - I have started with pretty constant headaches this week and I am hoping that they bugger off pretty quickly. Am trying to up my water intake in case that helps, but just end up constantly on the loo!

pug that sounds rubbish - the commute is one thing I don't miss after moving out of London. I cancelled a course I was due to be on today as soon as I heard about the strike - so I really feel for you guys doing that daily.

fishermanswife1 · 09/07/2015 10:48

Sorry forpeople feeling pants. Feeling guilty about having the day off work today. But been so tired with worrying and lack of sleep and so distracted.

Sounds like you've got a lot on your plate Brickie and plenty to think about. As you said, great the lttle one is doing ok though. We are now 9th Jan EDD twins!

I'm getting fed up of ringing and leaving messages to book harmony test and getting no answer or response. I know I'm being impatient but the wait is bad enough as is!

MissMartin10 · 09/07/2015 11:27

oh gosh i do not feel sexy atall to dtd but ive been doing about 1nce aweek since finding out to keep dp happy as im a moany, grumpy, moody cow at the moment lol so im definately not fun to be with. But we decided to stop doing it after my most recent bleed at 10w3d as it was an hour after dtd and i had weird cramps since doing it. he is now petrified of coming near me until after 12week scan

goodluck with scans today! Grin

Pugmumlondon · 09/07/2015 11:27

Thanks guys. It really was the pits. Plus so many fucking tourists that when I eventually cracked and did ask - they were sat in the priority seats - they just stared at me blankly. No one said a word. Is it because I don't look obviously pregnant? God knows. But if it's like this on the way home I might cry.

LilDuck · 09/07/2015 11:52

12 week scan this morning and all looking good- healthy wriggly baby shaped blob :) nuchal measurement was really low and dates pulled forward two days but that's nothing really. I'm so relieved! Off to try and find some trousers I can actually do up! Feel like I'm 'allowed' to actually look in maternity shops now instead of just sneaking onto the websites.

As for dtd, I've been dreaming about it constantly lol, but haven't felt up to the real thing for weeks and dh seems happy to wait for now. Hoping we can get back on the wagon any day, so to speak, if this bloody nausea and tiredness start to subside.

Hope today's other scans are going well?

SleepyDragon · 09/07/2015 12:27

Any news yet Fisher?

Pug have you got one of the Baby on Board badges? If you don't look pg at least it will alert people to the fact you're not just trying to turf them out of a seat and they won't jostle you as much either. Hope your trip home is easier, my DH set of half hour earlier this morning cod of the tube strike.

My tummy doesn't half ache today, must be a damn lot of stretching going on!

I've also just attempted to make my first victoria sponge cake in about 8 years.... Not confident but it smells and looks cakey so fingers crossed!!

SleepyDragon · 09/07/2015 12:29

LilDuck I know what you mean lol! I have been sneaking in eBay, New Look and Next and trying to breathe in.

It will be so nice to look legitimately and not try hold my tummy in or cut myself in half with rapidly shrinking jeans lol!

lilyb84 · 09/07/2015 12:32

Pug sorry to hear about your nightmare commute, I'm working from home today even though I get a bus, just didn't want to face the inevitable delays. I wasn't even really aware of the strike but fortunately my manager pre-empted it and suggested I stay home!

Blackandwhitecat3 · 09/07/2015 12:38

Lol Oyster that's an impressive rate. We've dtd precisely twice since bfp, and the first was directly before my bleed so it took a lot of getting my head around. I've been too sick/tired/hormonal/fed up to do it any more frequently!

fishermanswife1 · 09/07/2015 13:18

Gave up with the one place that does harmony (2 days of calling with no answer or call back) and went elsewhere and they've booked me in for Monday.

First consultant appointment with nhs now set for 30th of July so I can have more regular scans to check on placenta/fetal growth and hormone levels. Feeling overwhelmed with it all. Sure my anxiety/ocd and current lack of meds for it isn't helping.

Poor DH must be the same. He announced this morning th st he dreamt I'd given birth to a giant squid...

BeeMyBaby · 09/07/2015 13:42

Re DTD, it has probably increased since getting pregnant as we always used condoms before which is a massive turnoff and we hadn't been trying to get pregnant so it is still more fun to us so it's probably 3-4 times a week except the last couple as its Ramadan and I can't be bothered waiting till after 10pm to dtd as that is most definitely sleepy time!

AlohaMama · 09/07/2015 13:42

blimey brickie you've got a lot going on there. I assume with most of those things it's that you have to be closely monitored, rather than any immediate concerns??

Just had a letter back with my (low) downs risk but it also mentioned by EDD which they had at 6th Jan from last scan, rather than 9th Jan as it was at the first scan. Which, given my 38wk babies, makes me even more likely to give birth over Christmas Sad. Guess names are going to have to be Noel or Holly then...
