Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 31st grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 49th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: Stats

Oooh! Good luck Cym!

Indigoblue2 · 21/06/2015 21:44

Thinking of you cym!!!

deeplybaffled · 21/06/2015 21:48

NFMA - have been told i am slightly anaemic after blood tests, and have to take iron tablets, which I understand aren't great digestive news. Does anyone have any handy hints about which ones do the job with the fewest side effects?

Fleurchamp · 21/06/2015 22:11

All the best cym will be on tenterhooks waiting for baby news Smile

WouldRatherHaveCake · 21/06/2015 22:33

Good luck cym! How exciting! hoping for a live birthing thread

Hobbit19 · 21/06/2015 22:33

Can't help you there Deeply, but I can recommend a tin of fruit a day to keep everything moving. Half in the morning half at night. might give you diabetes though

Does anyone else have really ridiculous dandruff?! Don't understand how the top of my head can be so dry when chin is so spotty! Where the Geoff is my pregnancy glow?!?!

gaggiagirl · 21/06/2015 22:35

deeply I think mountain, dulcet and la take iron tablets they will be able to assist.

Good luck cym not long now.

DulcetMoans · 21/06/2015 22:44

Yep, just had my iron tablet deeply. Can't say I've done much comparison between types though I'm afraid. If you are marginally anaemic you can try the liquid iron - spatone. It's gentler and has less affect on the bowls. It wasn't enough for me though so did switch to tablets. Mine are 210mg and I am trying 1 a day at the moment but you can have 2. I take it at night to give some hours to work up to a poo by next day. So far I've not been bunged but they are green and sticky so be warned!

Don't hold out for glow pud, that is a lie!

gaggiagirl · 21/06/2015 22:44

pud there's a 3rd off French pharmacy at escentual until the end of June. Its a great website, love it. La Roche Posay really sorted my skin out when it was at its most troubled. It was peeling last year after my mc and its heaps better. I do have rosacea and scars and a port wine stain like so I'm no skin model but my mask make up goes on beautifully and looks great now.

deeplybaffled · 21/06/2015 22:56

Thanks, everyone. dulcet - doctor's letter said slightly anaemic so will give spatone a go and see how I get on in first instance before making any bolder moves! Gosh - just unrelenting glamour, this pregnancy lark, isn't it?

pud - not too sure about a glow, but my skin was greasy as in the 1st tri and a bit of the 2nd, but then got the message and is much better now, and nails are better than they have ever been before...small victories maybe, but I'm clinging to them Grin

LaLaLaaaa · 21/06/2015 23:05

Good luck cym!!!! Hope it's a quick one for you, you've been waiting patiently long enough already.

Fleur look here for group B strep info and links to the test ordering. You need to do it between 35-40 weeks but really before full term so I'd order it ASAP if you can

Purple back massage sounds heavenly! I might spend my birthday money on one.

Fatty! Course you're allowed! How are you getting on? Did you get to use your cord tie?

Would it can be very daunting at first! But you can feel free to post as little or as much as you like so if you're not comfortable just now then take some time Grin. Either way we are here to support you and can answer any questions along the way, however silly you might think they are!

We had picnic in park today with friends to celebrate our joint birthdays. It was lovely but bump was in agony by 5pm and I had to be supported to car :(. It was like it was too heavy for my skin and the aching was horrible. Weather held though and I was so pleased!

Am watching S3E11 of OITNB, anyone else?

Gouda - exciting about scan!

Niff - have an amazing time and yes, switch off completely!

Deeply my iron was low but not by much so they recommended Spatone rather than tablets. I have a sachet in orange juice every day and feel less tired. Iron tabs can bung you up a bit

I didn't really glow until 3rd tri! Now I just look huge and whale like

batfish · 22/06/2015 04:38

Well done cym for calling up and good luck! I am sure we will have lovely baby news very soon Smile

Had a bit of a panic last night as baby always kicks a lot in the evenings and last night absolutely nothing - tried laying on my side for a lot of the evening and drank a massive glass of iced water, gave my tummy a shake and still nothing at all - went to bed a bit worried but I've felt a few little movements this morning so hopefully all OK. Dying for the little monkey to start kicking the crap out of me! It has made me realise though that I have no idea what to do if I'm worried - guess docs would be closed out of hours and as I only see the doctor I don't have a midwife to call. What do you do there out of hours if you are worried?

honeysucklejasmine · 22/06/2015 05:08

Ah, 5am, my new friend! Angry

Bat that sounds scary. Sad I suppose you could go to hospital next time? Do they have A&E sort of service?

Had a fucking weird dream. It's going to be an interesting few months I think!

Today I am the most pregnant I have ever been! Grin

Toast85 · 22/06/2015 06:05

Hope babybat wakes up and wriggles today bat.

I'm worrying about movements too- now approaching the 24 week mark and feel I don't really know what to look for in terms of a 'pattern' - at the moment I get some days when she's really wriggly and other days with barely anything and I don't know what is 'normal' - it's on my list of things to ask at next mw appointment but does anyone have any advice in the meantime re. movement patterns?

Good luck today Cym! Hope to hear baby news later.

Toast85 · 22/06/2015 06:08

Oh bat- out of hours- I have a number for midwives at the hospital and have been told to call them if any problems. Assuming it's fairly similar for all of us in the uk.

Hobbit19 · 22/06/2015 06:09

Yey Honey, that's great news!

Fleurchamp · 22/06/2015 06:48

Thanks la

I am also on iron tablets - although my levels were only slightly low I had a chat with the mw and she advised I take them as I am at risk of pph. So, I take one first thing in the morning with juice/smoothie and then another before bed.
I also eat dried apricots and make sure I have other poo inducing food Blush
I have wanted fruit all pregnancy anyway.
So far I haven't really been bunged up but I have lactulose on hand just in case.
My poo is black though Confused

I have another test tomorrow to see if my levels have risen. If they are still a bit low I will add a spatone sachet too.

First day of mat leave and I am off swimming, well floating in the pool taking the weight off my bump Grin

rm00054 · 22/06/2015 06:59

I wondered the same thing Toast I've never noticed a pattern as such, and count the kicks was useless for me, every day is different.
Mw told me that everyone is different, and you just have to find what is normal for you, and if that is no set routine then that's fine.
My baby is generally active every 2-3hrs or so, so I've just used that as my guide, don't worry if yours never gets a routine.

I used to be extremely anemic before pregnancy Deeply (strangely, now I'm pregnant I'm fine!) everyone will react to the tablets in different ways, so what may be fine for someone could bung another up something rotten. I would advise to stay away from ferrous sulphate and go with ferrous fumarate if you can, just cos the iron is in a more acceptable form.
Also, increase your vitamin C intake as this helps iron absorption, so take iron supplements with orange juice like La says (and not with milk as this decreases iron absorption).

Hurrah cym glad things are finally getting going for you. Looking forward to hearing the exciting news soon!

That's great Honey a wonderful milestone Smile

jellypi3 · 22/06/2015 07:01

la I've finished the new OITNB, was brilliant :) so has honey!

bat hope baby bat moves some more today!

cym I hope you are gearing up for a baby!!

NFMA: I had all the arse rain this morning. Then I started throwing up at the same time. How fucking glamorous.

I reallllllllly don't want to go to work today!

jellypi3 · 22/06/2015 07:03

I also think I had a trapped nerve in the night, my Lower back was agony on one side! :(

honeysucklejasmine · 22/06/2015 07:34

Thank you ladies. The nerves are starting to die down now. Yay!

Oh Jelly! That sounds horrible all round really! You poor thing. Sad

NFMA: Very dark, sticky feeling poo. Really weird!

WouldRatherHaveCake · 22/06/2015 08:00

I really struggled last night with nausea, but I'm only 4 weeks and I didn't get it last time til about 7. Votes for morning sickness, a bug, or its all in my head are welcome!

LaLaLaaaa · 22/06/2015 08:02

Morning viroids!

I'm freaked out! I should be getting ready for work but it's the first day of mat leave. What a bizarre feeling!

Bat I have instructions to phone out of hours antenatal unit if I'm worried ie the hospital I'm booked into. If you're concerned then do phone.

The count the kicks campaign can be misleading as mw has told me it's more important to monitor your baby's normal patterns, whether that's active every morning or e dry 3 hours or just after eating magnums. My baby is active mostly in evening and after eating, plus in bath. So if I'm worried I get in the bath and he starts wiggling. So you're looking for a pattern and if that changes then call to ask to be monitored. It can change slightly towards the end in that the movements are different as they run out of space, but still same patterns.

Honey - congratulations! It's a good feeling Smile

I hope you're ok cym and baby comes today!!!

Fleur - swimming is a good idea, I might do that! beached whale

LaLaLaaaa · 22/06/2015 08:05

Would - probably hormones flying around! Hope you feel a bit better

Poo in pregnancy is an enigma

I am going to get up now. What do I do? I suppose I should pack my bag?

RM yes great advice on the vitamin c. Dairy products inhibit uptake of iron so I was told to drink my Spatone with OJ. It also masks the taste!

LaLaLaaaa · 22/06/2015 08:06

RM! This is your edd week! How do you feel? Do you think baby will come?
