Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 31st grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 49th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: Stats

pud if she's eating and drinking then that is very good, and if she's behaving pretty normally for a kitten then that's also good (i.e. playful, curious).

But prolonged diarrhoea for a young kitten is going to tire her out and dehydrate her quite quickly. The diarrhoea could easily be result of the food/wormer, but I would phone vet to let them know today/early tomorrow and see what they say, as generally with little ones you wouldn't want any kind of diarrhoea or vomiting to go on longer than a few days unchecked. Once they start to get dehydrated it can mean quite a sick kitten.

Wiping bum on floor could mean bum is itchy or sore for some reason - so she may be feeling that it's a bit stingy. Can you gently clean it for her using cotton wool and warm water?

jellypi3 · 30/06/2015 18:04

Echo la's sentiments, call your vets. Dehydration, especially when it's this hot, is a very real issue for cats. It can lead to all sorts of problems with their kidneys (not to worry you). Is she drinking plenty? If she won't take water, try cooling the liquid you have when you boil the chicken and giving her that.

But if she's still it tomorrow I'd demand an appointment with the vet, especially as she's on a very bland diet right now. Hope she gets better x

My bloating is terrible today, I came out of a meeting looking 4 months more pregnant than when I went in. It's also really painful :( but the pharmacist gave me gavascon for it which I thought was for heartburn?

maemay · 30/06/2015 18:15

GIVE. ME. CARBS. NOW....

maemay · 30/06/2015 18:16

Seriously, that's all I can face eating at the mo! Plain boring carbs on their own.
Plain mashed potato is my current front-runner.
Got some potato waffles in the oven at the mo, and pasta on the stove.

DulcetMoans · 30/06/2015 18:29

Oh mash potato, good choice mae!

Worms is the first thing pud but is there the potential there are gland issues? la/jelly will know better but I know we had a dog that was doing it and it was something to do with some glands near the bum that were irritated. Not sure if it's the same for cats.

Do you get a different schedule being second time around ga?

Mines a pumpkin too la, god knows what it will be by Thursday! I thought these fruits where about length but not sure about the length of a pumpkin!

I am currently growing a boil in the bag baby. Seriously, it must be baked in there. When I can get off the sofa I will have a cold bath/shower! For now I did too many things so I can't move...

jellypi3 · 30/06/2015 18:40

Cats can get anal gland problems dulcet but I'd be surprised in a kitten as young as eris to get them

Niffertiti · 30/06/2015 18:46

I'm following la's example and lying flat on bed with fan pointed at fanjo. Breezy bliss! I highly recommend...

Pud after you've looked after poor Eris you'll be all ready for a baby! Poor thing, I'd be miserable if I were her. I think I'd also have a stingy bottom with the diarrhoea...

mountain I don't really understand what's happening with your scans but Thanks

Niffertiti · 30/06/2015 18:52

dulcet if you don't have a fan for your fanjo, what about a basin of cold water for soaking feet? I find it's a lovely way to cool down, and the advantage is it can be brought to you on sofa, rather than you having to move to it.

mae those potato waffles - yum! I'd never touched them before morning sickness! Left over beef brisket for dinner here - I'm thinking Ragu or chilli. I might go chilli, I'm not keen on the pasta right now.

Fleurchamp · 30/06/2015 18:55

Ladies, a small tip for coping with the heat at night - a cold water bottle.

Basically use a hot water bottle, fill with cold water and put it in the fridge.

Then take it to bed with you and put it behind your neck, on your wrist/ inside arm or feet and it will cool you down a treat.

We have fan wars in our bedroom and so this is the next best thing for me.

Fleurchamp · 30/06/2015 18:56

Mmmm potato waffles, haven't had one of those bad boys for years Smile

batfish · 30/06/2015 19:04

Woah there what the hell is going on....I'm 10th in the stats list?? Closer to the top than the bottom!! Shock

deeplybaffled · 30/06/2015 19:22

To complete the appointments round up, saw the hospital today after last week's scan and they were happy that abdominal measurements were now on 38th centile rather than 8th, but have booked me in for another one in 4 weeks time to check it is still growing along the same line.
mountain - sorry to hear your appt was confusing, but things can and do change quite quickly and measurements aren't always a guarantee of anything. At around 28 weeks, i had a scan which said baby's abdominal measurements were small and only on 8th centile, and they organised a repeat scan at around 30 weeks as they were concerned. I then saw a midwife a few days after that first scan, who said that my bump was small too, and only on the 5th or 10th centile, so i fretted.
at the 30 week scan, abdominal measurements were now on 38th centile and everyone seems happy.
so either the initial measurements weren't accurate, or the baby had a sudden growth spurt - and either could also be true for you too, so please don't worry unduly at this point.
congrats to others for their good news, and thanks, purple for adding the word "giggleberries" to my vocabulary Grin

deeplybaffled · 30/06/2015 19:25

Oh, and batfish - the stats list must be wrong as it is alleging that I am 6th, so is clearly deranged, as that just cannot be so. #denialismyhappyplace

batfish · 30/06/2015 19:32

It's very scary deeply especially when the top 4 are ready to pop! Must be a few lines hidden......

oneyorkshirepud · 30/06/2015 20:29

Thanks for the advice again cat ladies. Called the vets and they said to take her in. Vet was not too concerned (which has really reassured me) as she said she is v bright and v vocal (she is not a big fan of the vet!) They have given her something to bind her poop and some rehydration salts to go in her water. She said just to keep trying to get her to eat and drink a such as possible. Vet will test her poo too.

Niff Eris is very good baby practise; night feeds, poo explosions, one handed dishwasher emptying, lots of worry and lots of cuddles!

Toast85 · 30/06/2015 20:41

Yes bat! And I'm only a week or 2 behind you... Seriously ??

DulcetMoans · 30/06/2015 20:43

tee, weather is happening! Big loud weather!

OP posts:
Toast85 · 30/06/2015 20:49

I heard it too dulcet! Love a good storm Grin

DulcetMoans · 30/06/2015 20:50

Think it will clear the air and make it less hot?

OP posts:
Toast85 · 30/06/2015 20:53

Hope so. Only one thunder though so far, where's it gone?

honeysucklejasmine · 30/06/2015 20:55

We don't have big loud weather here. Sad I love a good storm.

I had a fish finger sandwich. In the absence of salad cream and lettuce, I had plastic cheese and ketchup. And it was good. Controversial?

Also, I went to the local nature reserve with the Brownies. I sneezed so many times I wet myself a little. Blush Obviously I have no pelvic floor to begin with, let alone further along! Thing is... I really don't like the sensation of kiegels. I'm not sure why.... I just don't like it. It makes me feel all peculiar. Confused

DulcetMoans · 30/06/2015 20:55

It's in Pompey now! Haha. Maybe that is it!

OP posts:
DulcetMoans · 30/06/2015 20:57

You ruined that sandwich honey.

OP posts:
jellypi3 · 30/06/2015 21:05

Mm fish finger sandwich. Our canteen does a fish finger wrap on Thursdays with capers and onions and Tatar sauce....mmm

Jcandy · 30/06/2015 21:06

Love it honey! Best fish finger sandwich is cheese melted onto the bread plus mayo on one side ketchup on the other Grin
