Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 31st grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 49th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: Stats

I guess they might if still measuring large at next scan.. Guess I'll be meeting her earlier than I thought, and giving up the ice cream!

Purpleball · 30/06/2015 14:49

Mountain I find that a lot of it is caution. They won't take risks with your baby and you. I know it's tough to accept that you can't have what you want. Every time I read/hear something about natural birth I'm a bit sad that I'm not likely to get to do that.
If your next scan is ok then they might like to monitor you more often but will let you have a birthing pool etc.
Thanks For you though. It is quite deflating

La, yes boss Grin

honeysucklejasmine · 30/06/2015 14:57

Don't panic yet mountain, her growth might even out over the next few weeks. Gx for you.

Apparently I will be in the "thyroid and diabetes" clinic. Midwife friend says I still have to go in every four weeks but won't get any extra scans. What a pain! Especially as the pathology department has an average wait of 1.5 - 2 hours. Hmm For a 30s blood test.

Also, as an added bonus, my GP and my local hospital are in different health authorities, so they seem to struggle to share data.

Niffertiti · 30/06/2015 14:57

Viroids we've not heard from Gouda for a while? Did I miss something whilst I was away? I might stalk her on the jan thread and see if she's hanging out there...

LaLaLaaaa · 30/06/2015 15:03

Mountain I know you must be feeling disappointed Flowers I really hope things even out and she has perhaps just had a growth spurt.

Yes we've not heard from Gouda of lemon for a while - or gliding. I hope everything's ok

MiniLa is fully engaged and ready to go! They are sending my pee off to check for pee infection but otherwise MiniLa was all good

WilHarlot · 30/06/2015 15:18

Are they confident scans are accurate Mountain? Forget how many weeks you are but I've had late scans before which weren't at all accurate for size. But if they are accurate, baby being kept an eye on is the best thing. Try not to compare your situation with anyone else's and just think of it as best way forward for you. I'm trying to master this strategy at the moment...

jellypi3 · 30/06/2015 15:25

la you are so going to have a baby soon!! Grin

DulcetMoans · 30/06/2015 15:30

One extreme to the other there mountain. Hopefully they can keep an eye on you though and maybe after the next scan do some negotiating on how things will play out.

Yay for fully engaged la! Does it feel different now he's engaged? Like lumpy down there or something??

That's a pain in the arse honey, a 2 hr wait once a month in a hot hospital. Afternoon off work a month though maybe?

OP posts:
honeysucklejasmine · 30/06/2015 15:36

Luckily I work part time anyway, but it will certainly be a PITA.

jellypi3 · 30/06/2015 15:46

i had my booking bloods yesterday and it was an hour and half wait! i got there at 8:00am!

pretzelpieces · 30/06/2015 16:00

Boo honey what a pain. I've got to be monitored extra as high risk for diabetes and pre-eclampsia. Good they will be keeping an eye on things though?

Yay for purple and niff on your scans. And well done cym and thank you for sharing your birth story with us.

la so many workplaces don't seem to know their arse from their elbow. But how exciting that mini la is engaged and ready to go!!

Over here it's morning sickness + heatwave = Envy Angry Sad wake me up in the autumn.

Got my date for 12 wk scan, it's 22nd July. Not too long to go! Three weeks and a day. Grin

LaLaLaaaa · 30/06/2015 16:07

Jelly the trick at my hospital is to get there at quarter to 8. Otherwise it's mental until half 9.

Mountain I really hope this was an anomaly and they find she's evened out next time. A positive though is you'll get monitored more closely so hopefully you'll feel more comfortable that everything's ok.

Dulcet - feels just like he's far down, I knew my bump had dropped and the stabby feelings at the bottom of bump are apparently his hand. She said it could still be 4 weeks so to be patient. But I've got date for sweep if not here by due date

goodnessgraciousgouda · 30/06/2015 16:23

Niff - I am here! You're such a sweet heart. Just been a bit busy recently with travelling about and was feeling a little miserable over the seemingly constant blood tests.

Feeling better now though Grin.

I see there's been some new bambino's emerging - good work ladies!

Has anyone had their test for down's recently? Is it the same back home? Scan info, blood test and planetary alignment calculations to work out your odds?

goodnessgraciousgouda · 30/06/2015 16:25

PS, I finally found a gynaecologist and she said that she will do a quick scan at every (monthly) appointment!

LaLaLaaaa · 30/06/2015 16:27

Hi Gouda! Good news about your scans Smile

Ours is nuchal measurements and blood test = combined test, or you can decide to have nifty test if you want to.

Purpleball · 30/06/2015 16:34

I'm scanned every 2-3 weeks now because of diabetes

You can get blood tests done at your GP, you just need a bit more notice and an envelope thingy from hospital - it's what I do the week before I go to the consultant

Niffertiti · 30/06/2015 16:38

Hi gouda glad you're still ok! Hooray for finding gynae and for very regular scans - envious, I love seeing microniff!

la fully engaged! I reckon he's on his way out... It must be bloody hot in there.

LaLaLaaaa · 30/06/2015 16:43

Just got email from thebump.com

'Congratulations! Your baby is now the size of a pumpkin!'

Fuck.

????????

oneyorkshirepud · 30/06/2015 16:50

Gaaaah, no one wants to think about pumpkins coming out!!!!!!!

Lots of lovely news to read on her this arvo Viroids. Yey for scans Niff and Purple! Hi Gouda! (Waves like a loon).

Mountain sorry to read that you have had such confusing news - how frustrating. Hope you are okay xx

honeysucklejasmine · 30/06/2015 17:05

Surely it's more the shape of a butternut squash? It might have the same volume as a pumpkin, but I think the midwives might have said something if he was that shape, too.

Unless he has a pumpkin sized head?! Shock

Wink
gaggiagirl · 30/06/2015 17:07

Nowt happened at my midwife appt today. Handed piss over while bp was taken matb1 shoved in hand on way out, while being given a 30 week appt Hmm so no 28 week appt for me then. Weird.

Fleurchamp · 30/06/2015 17:08

Sorry to hear that mountain although I thought nowadays they resisted saying that babies would be big because they are often wrong?

Are you and / or your DH/DP big?

Exciting times la but I am just after you Confused eeeek! This one does not seem to be on the move. It is head down and was 4/5 engaged last week but I do not feel any downward pressure except after a long walk.

ChatEnOeuf · 30/06/2015 17:38

Good to hear positive scan news from you Niff and Purple Smile

Mountain, try not to stress yet - growth is a dynamic process and at least two measurements a couple of weeks apart are needed before they start mumbling about odd-sized babies. It's the trend over time that's most important.

oneyorkshirepud · 30/06/2015 17:43

(Excuse me while I interupt the thread for cat related issues)

La/Jelly Eris has moved on to having diarrhoea. (Better than being sick I suppose as at least she is absorbing something). After she is done she gets out of the tray and then wipes her bum on the floor laminate thank god. Now obviously she is a classy kitten and is somewhat aghast that we haven't provided her with Andrex Aloe Vera Double Ply, but I wondered if this was a sign of anything in particular? She had stronghold on the 17th and then three days of panacur over the weekend so it can't STILL be worms surely?! She has eaten more today though and for the first time been hungry enough to eat out of the bowl herself. I did pick up a poo sample pot from the vets on the way home to DH can collect a sample over a couple of days to take in and get checked.

(Carry on!)

batfish · 30/06/2015 17:47

Eeeek a pumpkin! These size comparison things confuse me though - one app tells me baby is a butternut squash and another tells me it is 35cm...so is the butternut squash when it is folded up?!
