For all those lovely bumps incubating until last few days of Oct and all November, spilling possibly over to December for the super comfortable babies- come and chat, rant, vent, chant, glow, sweat, watch nails grow whilst doing antenatal pilates/yoga/sleeping/eating/navel gazing and over analyse to your hormones content!

Optional - FB group is up and bumping, PM me with email to be added.

Actually it makes sense that there is a risk with a twin pregnancy after a singleton csec, doesn't it? Your uterus has to stretch so much further than last time.

SnozzberryPie · 16/10/2015 11:35

Congratulations chic!

Abbey sorry to hear you are having a worrying time but the latest news seems positive. How many weeks are you now?

I am 33 weeks and touch wood everything is going smoothly. This time in my last pregnancy I was being monitored for high blood pressure and low iron but this time they are both fine.

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 16/10/2015 11:48

All going well here Snozzberry thank you. 38 weeks now which feels rather weird after last time,in a nice way. They've done my last blood test, more to inform the paediatrician than anything as we're delivering a few days after those results come back anyway. It's a case of wait and see how the baby is when born but they seem prepared and organised so it's as good as can be.
Glad all is well with you, did you have your debrief with your old notes? Glad it's going much better this time.

Guy I think possibly so. I read the risk increased with mine because of the extra stretching from a 36 week section to giving birth at potentially 40 weeks, so must be the same logic with twins - all that extra stretching.

annatha · 16/10/2015 14:53

Congratulations chic! Wishing you a speedy recovery.

SnozzberryPie · 16/10/2015 17:00

Wow 38 weeks abbey, you're nearly there Smile

The debrief was really useful thanks, I'd recommend it to anyone. It was quite emotional at the time but she really made sense of what happened and made me feel much more confident about doing it again.

Plus the midwife yesterday said this baby is in a better position for birth than dd (she was back to back), fingers crossed he will stay that way!

LadyStark · 16/10/2015 17:03

Congratulations Chic!

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 16/10/2015 18:13

That's great Snozzberry glad it was useful. Sounds like you'll have a better time this time - I think you're due a straightforward one!

HeirToTheIronThrone · 16/10/2015 18:30

Congratulations chic!! Glad they are both doing well. Hope your recovery is going smoothly too?

Anyone on the fb group got any news from focus? She started a live labour thread yesterday but (understandably) didn't manage to continue to post.

tootsroots · 17/10/2015 06:08

Hello! I'm back after a very long time and what lovely news to come back to! Congratulations Chic and toots! I hope everything is going well Star

Unthoughtknown · 17/10/2015 09:46

Focus has had her baby too. Oh gosh... It's all starting to happen now!

austengirl · 17/10/2015 10:00

Congratulations Toots and Focus! Hope you're both doing well (and wow that is quick TootsShock!)

roughtyping · 17/10/2015 11:50

Congrats to chic, toots and focus! It's all getting real now!

TakesTwoToTango · 17/10/2015 12:34

Congratulations toots and focus!!

ChicBabyP · 18/10/2015 07:57

Oh wow, seems like I got things moving in here! Congrats toots and focus. What did focus have?

Thank you all for the lovely wishes.
Actually the worst complication wasn't the rupture... One placenta was accreta ( embeded in the uterine lining) and that can be potentially fatal ( would seem about quarter million women die each year from this). If blood loss isn't controlled within a couple of min, you can bleed out... Thankfully my consultant was very fast and used a different technique... But it's pretty scary when u realise what danger u were in. Recovery will therefor be much longer as there was much more stitching inside than normal.

austengirl · 18/10/2015 08:42

That does sound scary Chic. Shock Glad your consultant acted quickly and that you're going to be ok. Gentle hugs.

PetersonPeterson · 20/10/2015 16:13

Hi, I know it's ridiculously late to be joining, but I've been lurking from the start... I am 36 weeks, baby due 15 Nov. Baby no. 3, and I'm feeling v uncomfortable now. Due to have a C section 10 November. I know most of the action happens on the FB group but I'm not that keen on FB, will stick to the mumsnet group of I'm allowed?! Congratulations to those whose babies have arrived and good luck to everyone else.

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 20/10/2015 16:34

Welcome Peterson!

TakesTwoToTango · 25/10/2015 12:51

Hello everyone! How are you getting on?

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 25/10/2015 13:59

For anyone not on FB, I wanted to announce the arrival of my twins! One was just over 6lb and one just under 6lb. Wednesday 21st at 9pm, induced labour, normal delivery. Twin 1 came with a very quick labour and just gas and air and then twin 2 was back to back so it nearly ended up being a section but I managed to push her out with the help of forceps. We're still in hospital due to jaundice but probably going home today.

TakesTwoToTango · 25/10/2015 14:43

Congratulations guy! What great weights! Well done on your delivery, I hope you are not too sore after the forceps and are recovering well.

SnozzberryPie · 25/10/2015 20:06

Congratulations guybrush! If you are worried, I had a forceps delivery with dd and haven't suffered any problems from it.
There's a full moon this week so perhaps some more babies will be along soon.

TakesTwoToTango · 25/10/2015 22:52

I'm 37 weeks today and just need to get a few more bits and pieces finished off and then I'll be ready (are you listening baby..?) Smile
