For all those lovely bumps incubating until last few days of Oct and all November, spilling possibly over to December for the super comfortable babies- come and chat, rant, vent, chant, glow, sweat, watch nails grow whilst doing antenatal pilates/yoga/sleeping/eating/navel gazing and over analyse to your hormones content!

Optional - FB group is up and bumping, PM me with email to be added.

Takestwo, ditto - I have stuff to do this week, after that baby can come when she likes (I'll be 38 weeks on Friday) . This probably means I'll go two weeks over.

ChicBabyP · 26/10/2015 15:54

Congratulation Guy!!! Amazing that you were able to give birth naturally and able to go home already. Really good weights too.
Is twin 1 a boy or a girl?

brooke89 · 26/10/2015 16:20

Hi everyone! I've been lurking for the past month or so on and off reading all your stories! Congratulations to those who have given birth!

I was after a bit of advice.... From around 5am this morning until now I've had a dull period pain/type of ache very low down. It's not overly painful more annoying and uncomfortable! Is anyone else experiencing this?

It's my second baby and I don't remember experiencing it with my first. Not contractions as the pain is more continuous?

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 26/10/2015 18:06

Both girls!

HeirToTheIronThrone · 26/10/2015 18:49

Does the full moon really mean babies? I would like this one to wait until I finish work next week!

TakesTwoToTango · 26/10/2015 19:47

Brooke - sounds more like the discomfort I get in the joint at the front of my pelvis when baby engages. Could that be it?

brooke89 · 26/10/2015 20:53

It could be takestwo - I think I'm having Pelvic girdle syndrome as yesterday I had burning sensations all day in my pelvis.

Just thought it seemed a bit strong! Sure I didn't feel this much pain till I was in active labour last time Shock

TakesTwoToTango · 26/10/2015 22:48

Well you never know! Good luck if it turns out to be early labour!

austengirl · 27/10/2015 09:22

Congrats Guybrush! Hope you and your girls are able to go home soon if not already there.

Had my 38 week midwife appt yesterday--quite strange to book the 40 week one not knowing if we'll get there or not! So glad to be done with work, and would like a week or two to relax/finish bits and pieces before baby arrives. But we'll see...

SnozzberryPie · 27/10/2015 14:38

I googled and apparently it's a myth that more babies are born at a full moonBlush

However, it is true that less babies are born on Halloween. I wonder if we'll have any on this thread? Halloween Smile

Brooke I have a similar achey feeling. I thought it might be a uti but I did a test for that and it was negative, so now I wonder if it is just the baby starting to move down into my pelvis. I've also been weeing a lot and having some pokey feelings like my cervix is being prodded from the inside.

brooke89 · 27/10/2015 17:52

I spent hours researching online and most common answer seemed to be cervix thinning/dilating?! I ending up going up to triage in the evening as it was unbearable! Sure enough my stomach was contracting but it was continuous so they ruled out contractions and noted abdominal cramps! strangely today all pain has gone and left again with really achey pelvis!

Must remember that we are not far off the finish line!

SnozzberryPie · 27/10/2015 19:52

Oh dear, I'm only 35 weeks so hopefully my cervix will stay shut for a couple more weeks!

Mulligrubs · 27/10/2015 20:05

Hi, I haven't posted for months (sorry been so busy and not mumsnetting as much!) but I posted a fair bit at the beginning of the threads. Well, I had my daughter bt c-section 5 days ago Grin

My BP began rising a few weeks ago and her growth slowed a lot (in my prev pregnancy this happened too and I got pre-eclampsia and ended up an EMCS) so my c-section was booked for 39 weeks with 2 scans a week to monitor. Her growth slowed too much so I was told my c-sec would now take place at 37 weeks so had her last week.

This time it was a planned caesarean and it was a lovely experience. I was out of hospital 40 hours after my op! DD is gorgeous and my toddler isn't sure about her yet but he is very sweet when he does show an interest.

Anyway just wanted to drop in and wish everyone on here the best of luck!

Congratulations mulligrubs!!!!

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 28/10/2015 21:15

Congratulations Mulligrubs!

I had DD on Monday, weighing 7lb 4oz. A very calm c section, so much better than the emergency last time. The staff were lovely and very reassuring, home within 2 days. So for anyone that had a bad time before, it can be completely different.

The anti c antibodies did cause a mild reaction but DD is fine and well, no problems. It did cause some excitement as some doctors had never heard of it so they come to have a look as it's so rare.

TakesTwoToTango · 28/10/2015 22:23

Great news Abbey, congratulations on your dd!! Hope your recovery is going smoothly and your ds is pleased with his baby sister.

SnozzberryPie · 28/10/2015 22:37

Congratulations mulligrubs and abbey!

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 29/10/2015 09:01

Thank you. Recovery side it's going OK. My hospital would only give paracetamol though so at least I'm home and have stronger stuff here (from last time)
DS thinks he should cry whenever she cries, so it's pretty crazy!

austengirl · 29/10/2015 11:05

Congratulations Mulligrubs and Abbey! So pleased it went well overall for you Abbey. Hope recovery continues to get better and DS stops mimicking DD's crying habits! Hmm

TakesTwoToTango · 29/10/2015 13:47

Aw bless him Abbey. Hopefully that won't last long but I guess it's not a surprise as he's still so little himself. My dd used to cry when other babies cried when she was his age too. She grew out of it.

37+4 today and can so feel my body gearing up Shock I guess it's because it's dc3 I recognize the signs but I really hope it doesn't mean she's going to come (too much) before her due date - I'm not ready!

ChicBabyP · 01/11/2015 20:14

Congrats abbey!! So glad to hear you had a nice calm experience this time and all went well. Makes such a difference, especially on the emotional side.
I'm sure your ds will get used to his sister very soon, or at least i hope so for your own sake!

roughtyping · 01/11/2015 22:27

Congrats guy, mulligrubs and abbey :) hoping I'll be soon - due on Tuesday!

TakesTwoToTango · 02/11/2015 00:17

Good luck roughtyping!

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 03/11/2015 18:50

DS has stopped the crying thing thank goodness! I just showed him the nappy, milk etc so I think he understands she's not really upset. He thinks she's quite funny now but keeps trying to throw toys to her trying to be helpful. Have no idea how I'm going to manage when DH goes back to work.

Good luck Rough

TakesTwoToTango · 03/11/2015 19:48

Aw that's good Abbey! You will cope! It will be trial and error to begin with (and at times very trying and with lots of errors!) but you will cope Smile
