Oops first of July I mean! This year is going too fast Shock

SleepyDragon · 13/06/2015 10:51

Morning ladies,

I've woken up a very anxious and scared bunny this morning. I went for a wee and a had a pinkish show when I wiped.

I know this doesn't sound much but it really shook me. All the way through so far I've not had any shows, no vomiting, only mild nausea and aches and a bit of dizziness. Now I feel really sick and I don't know if it's because of the shock earlier.

I haven't got any cramps, just a slight pinching on the left hand side where all my aches generate from (presume I ov'd from this side) but I'm paranoid about going to the loo now and what might/might not happen.

I'm really sorry if I sound silly and I know it might not sound much of an issue to some of you but I'm upset.

Oysterbabe · 13/06/2015 10:51

Glad you're feeling a bit better Looking

7 weeks tomorrow here and still feel mostly fine.

Sore boobs, mild nausea, some food aversions, tiredness. Most of the time you wouldn't know I'm pregnant. Apparently 10-20% of people don't get morning sickness so maybe I'm just one of them. It's still a worry though. 12 week scan is still soooooo far away.

Oysterbabe · 13/06/2015 10:53

Of course you're worried Sleepy But it's probably nothing, so many people get spotting. Just keep an eye on it.

OTheHugeManatee · 13/06/2015 10:54

Sleepy - unless there is lots of fresh blood you're probably fine. That said, just keep an eye and if it looks like spotting (rather than just a tiny smear) call the doc and get it checked. Don't just sit there fretting, you don't need to be alone with this.

SleepyDragon · 13/06/2015 10:56

Thanks Oyster that's what I'm trying to tell myself.

To be honest I think I was also surprised at how much it affected me shock wise.

SleepyDragon · 13/06/2015 10:58

Thanks manatee I think I just needed some reassurance from other pg ladies to go with the huge hug from my DH

mrschatty · 13/06/2015 10:59

sleepy has it stopped now? Nothing more since that episode this morning? Rest today feet up tele on brew in hand

Lookingforadvice123 · 13/06/2015 11:07

sleepy it is worrying but I had spotting at 8+2, first time I wiped it was red and I was convinced I was miscarrying, after that it was brown and only very light. A friend had the same around 6 weeks and again at 9 and 12, hers started pink the first time I think. We both had scans and all was fine. Keep an eye on it (maybe put a panty liner on so you can keep track) but it's very very common, and can be caused by hormones (especially if it's round the time your period would be due) or just a bleed from your cervix (common in pregnancy) or there might be no clear reason. Xx

SleepyDragon · 13/06/2015 11:39

MrsChatty no nothing since and think I've been for a wee another 3 times since! Going to watch DH play cricket today so feet will be up just outside not at home.

Looking I haven't any panty liners in the house at the mo, but I've put nude coloured pants in and have a 'pad' with me just in case (TMI apologies!)

Thank you all sorry for being silly xx

moonshine25 · 13/06/2015 11:47

Hope you're ok sleepy! It must be so worrying for you. I have my fingers crossed that was it for you!

Well I made the mistake of having breakfast before brushing my teeth this morning Hmm queue running to the bathroom! Yuk...I don't know how those of you who are sick every day manage, I just hate being sick.

Blackandwhitecat3 · 13/06/2015 11:50

Sleepy it's always worrying, but you're probably fine. EPU told me the cervix is rather delicate in pregnancy (it gets softer) so it can bleed, especially after DTD.

Also a lot of preg women get some pink around 8 weeks (when their period would have been due). Of course you're worried, but hopefully you won't bleed. Hope you enjoy the cricket fx

Oyster my nausea was mild until week 8, so you may have some fun still to come, or you may be lucky!

Marvelette · 13/06/2015 12:12

Hello again everybody, hope you're all holding up. Thinking of you Sleepy, but sure you will be just fine! My scan date is through and its the 9th of July. Anybody got the same? Am meeting a friend for lunch and am really tempted to tell her (so far it's just me and my boyfriend and our close family that know). I'm only nine weeks, should I wait til after the scan? She already suspects as I've not been drinking and I'm usually an absolute boozer!!

mrschatty · 13/06/2015 12:30

marvel I'd tell her I've not really been keeping my mouth shut though Tbh nearly everyone knows but been told 'don't tell anyone!'

BeeMyBaby · 13/06/2015 17:26

So even though I slept in an hour and a half this morning, followed by a half hour nap at lunch, after a 40 mins stand off with DD2 (3yo) on our way to the park I am exhausted and questioning the logistics of a DC3. I'm just telling myself that dd2 will be 4 by then and hopefully more reasonable like dd1 by then... Anyone else massively struggling with their other dc's at the moment? I know morning sickness goes but I can't remember if I'm going to be stuck with this exhaustion for the next 7 months?

Blackandwhitecat3 · 13/06/2015 17:33

I slept in this morning, laid in bed for hours chilling, got up for lunch, then exhaustion hit me again. Just woken up from a really deep afternoon sleep.

I have no idea how you do it bee, but am sure it will feel easier in a few weeks

Joey0805 · 13/06/2015 17:51

Bee - I never understood people that out of choice only had 1 child before; now I am pregnant I am starting to get it: pregnancy, leaving aside the miracle of growing a baby inside us, is awful!! We feel sick, bloated and tired and that's when we have it easy! How on earth you and the others that already have kids are doing this I have no idea!!! Obviously I am delighted to be pg and thankful every day as I know it's such a struggle for so many but jeez, feeling like crap and that constant overhanging feeling of what-if-it-goes-wrong, not a while heap of fun!

mrschatty · 13/06/2015 18:25

joey I've already pre warned my mother than when I'm pg with #2 she will need to take #1 off my hands for 3 months so I can self indulge like I have time..poor dc1 is just a fetus

Lilliana · 13/06/2015 18:32

sleepy you're not silly, it's natural to be worried. When I mc my spotting didn't stop for 2 days and then I started bleeding so if you've stopped / it's on and off that sounds good. If you do spot again though call the gp and hopefully they will scan you and put your mind at rest - don't think you're wasting time. Hth.

I'm def more snappy with my DD and we're watching more TV than usual so I can sit down / snooze a bit Blush

mrsfazruns · 13/06/2015 18:45

So so tired today and all I have craved is haggis neeps and tatties but as I can't have real haggis in pregnancy I wnet to but veggie stuff and they didn't have any!!! Queue raging hormone breakdown!!

Blackandwhitecat3 · 13/06/2015 18:49

Mrsfaz I didn't even make it to the shops to stock up on essential food items horribly unhealthy things I'm craving you managed that!

OP posts:
mrsfazruns · 13/06/2015 18:56

blackandwhite think it's funny that we are supposed to be eating healthy and all I want is rubbish!!! Vegetables literally repulse me at the minute!! And I'm back in my pjs on front of TV with DH cooking tea .... He's getting well trained at the moment

brickiemum2 · 13/06/2015 19:07

I've always eaten small portions of haggis in pregnancy. The amount of liver in it is not significant imo. Don't think my family would do without it for 9 months lol.

brickiemum2 · 13/06/2015 19:10

I've been in bed since lunchtime. I seem to cope all weekend with working 5 days a week, managing a house and two children (no naps and very early starts etc) but come the weekend my body gives out. Raging headache, bad ms, exhaustion. Oh and my heartburn has started in earnest. Need to find out if ompreazole is still ok in pregnancy.
