juniper that's hilarious about your bmi - yep 32 weeks of baby can sure make a difference to your weight!!!

oh well looking i will per-cyst alone (I'm pregnant allow me the terrible pun)

b&s absolutely. totally want to cry this morning, feel really down, but i'm putting it down to tiredness. and hormones. Having DDs birthday picnic today (she was 2 on Wed) ath the local park, so hoping that will cheer me up. Unless it rains in which case I'll just cry even more.

EdgarAllenPoe · 12/06/2015 09:18

I dreamt my bed was made of cheese so I had to lie on it really carefully to spread my weight out evenly so it wouldn't break.

I also dream quite regularly about giving birth and while it's hard work, it's pretty manageable and I always feel quite good about it. Reassuring. It's my first, so what do I know, but it's nice to know I'm subconsciously quite relaxed about birth, I hope it'll help me cope!

AlohaMama · 12/06/2015 09:20

oops i meant B&W obviously

moonshine25 · 12/06/2015 09:21

Oh no coffee that's so frustrating for you!!! Hope you manage to get it sorted quickly for you.

Seems like I'm feeling the same as a few of you today, just want to lie on the sofa and do nothing all day but I'm holding out for tomorrow to do that...I just feel so lazy and fat though!

Oh and oyster I've definitely gone off meat!! Can handle chicken but nothing else really appeals to me - odd!

lilyb84 · 12/06/2015 09:22

b&w definitely - wanted to stay in bed, now at work and very tempted to plead sick and go straight back home. I'm not even feeling emotional, just feel a real need to curl up and go back to sleep!

oyster - haven't gone off meat but then I don't eat much anyway. I'm definitely not as 'into' food as usual though (VERY unlike me), and I am finding myself craving coffee (which I haven't drunk for well over 7 years) and crusty bread (which I can definitely justify!). Also, it was pretty much a large carton of chocolate milk that persuaded me to stay at work this morning...

STATS UPDATE If you have anything to add just shout! Smile

kep1979 · 12/06/2015 09:44

Back from scan - Bean is ok!! Strong heartbeat, no sign of anything untoward - very relieved! I'm measuring 8+2 rather than 8+6 but too early to change dates. Going to lie down now - I am soooooo happy Smile

MiniTickle · 12/06/2015 09:46

Update - second early scan on 10/6 was amazing. Actually looked like a baby this time - much more emotional this time around. 12 week scan is 25/6 and edd has changed three times already now currently at 1/1 but going to stick with 5/1 for now works better for maternity leave pay! Extra 4 days full pay will be nice. Glad scan are going well for others. X

loveulotslikejellytots · 12/06/2015 09:47

Ladies... I have found ultimate comfort... Maternity leggings.

I don't need to be in them yet, but I was running late for work this morning (got up on time but sat in bed daydreaming). Was rushing around getting dressed and both pairs for leggings are still damp on the airer. My new maternity ones were sat on the side, so I put them on. ShockShockShock Oh lord they are so comfy. They come all the way up to my boobs, no irritating waist band making me feel queasy. I feel like I'm wearing pyjamas!

loveulotslikejellytots · 12/06/2015 09:48

So glad to hear the good news on the scans both of you!

lilyb84 · 12/06/2015 09:49

Great news kep and mini - glad to hear everything's going well! mini, 1/1 is my birthday so your wee one would be in good company Smile

lilyb84 · 12/06/2015 09:51

teenie thanks for adding me! Stats: Age 31, SE London, EDD 21 - 24 Jan Smile

goodnessgraciousgouda · 12/06/2015 10:49

coffee - urgh, what a bunch of bastards!!! Did they explain what they actually did with your bloods?? Did they accidentally throw it down the sink??? It's not like you can take the "wrong" blood or anything?!?!

oyster - I'm 90% vegetarian anyway, so meat doesn't really "appeal" at the best of times, but I have noticed recently that meat in the supermarket disgusts me so much I can't even look at it. I have zero interest in dairy products either, which is a bit worrying.

loveyoulots - I've never been sure how to "style" leggings. Where do you find tops long enough to cover your arse? And what shoes do you wear them with in summer? (I can only imagine them with boots).

Does anyone have any tips on alleviating some of this goddamn constipation? Where the fuck is all my food going?!?!? I'm rebelliously having a (small) coffee to try and kick start things, but I'm not optimistic.

Also, after feeling smug that my morning sickness had pretty much died down, it's been back with a vengeance the past couple of days, and has been horrible Sad

coffeenut · 12/06/2015 11:03

hooray kep! Flowers

Great news on your scan too mini!

gouda apparently the blood has to go in vacuum-sealed special vials which gets released slowly so it doesn't damage the dna Confused I asked the same thing, believe me! Have organised to go back in to a local hospital tomorrow morning for the second round Sad

Also gouda I've been having a weak coffee every few days for the same purpose. It's the only thing that helps!

melonface · 12/06/2015 11:11

love where are your leggings from?

kep that's such brilliant news Smile

SleepyDragon · 12/06/2015 11:49

Morning All

i am having the day from hell at work i am so stressed i sent myself dizzy and on top of that i think i might burst into tears any moment which i can't do as no one in my office knows i'm pregnant so the bitches from hell will think the 'job is getting to me' as opposed to hormones getting to me!!!!

hope you're all well?

babybabynamechange · 12/06/2015 11:57

teenie thanks for adding me to the stats. I'm 31, have 1 DC, no MCs (fingers crossed). I had an early scan on 9/6/15. Don't know when 12 week scan is yet... No rush to update for me btw...

Chip86 · 12/06/2015 12:21

Congratulations on the good scans

The angry bear thing is to keep people away and protect you and baby all natural instinct
Was going to write something else but have forgotten oh well
Soooo tired yawn

TeenieDeenie · 12/06/2015 12:34

Gouda I was suffering pretty bad with constipation at one point so went to Boots to see what they had. The pharmacist was super helpful and gave me a bottle of Lactulose which is safe to take in pregnancy. He said to take 2 teaspoons twice a day and see how I got on. If still nothing then up it to 3 teaspoons twice a day. Well, I took two teaspoons when I got home that evening and 3 hours later I was on the toilet, sweet relief! The only thing I would say though is that if you are backed up, take it once you're in for the evening as I had quite alot of wind as things started to move. The smell wasn't great either as you can imagine, but by god it worked and I haven't needed to use it since (touch wood).

OTheHugeManatee · 12/06/2015 12:37

Great news on the scan kep! And welcome newbies! April must have been a busy month in the shagging front...all of us feeling the joys of spring I guess Grin

I am away into work for a meeting, which I am dreading as I will have to spend it reassuring someone that I don't want his job, while also persuading him to let me do a part of said job that he doesn't have time to do properly.

This morning has been super hectic as we're having loads of renovations done (I feel your pain Edgar ) and I do most of the project management as my work schedule is more flexible. I'm supposed to be meeting up with friends in London after work today but I really don't know how long I will last! Especially as I can't perk myself up with wine.

TeenieDeenie · 12/06/2015 12:43

Haven't posted for a few days, but as Tuesday grows ever closer I'm getting increasingly anxious about my early scan. I'm terrified they're going to discover another mmc. Then I start worrying about what we'll do? How I'll feel this time? Will I go for medical management instead of just letting it happen? Then I give myself a kick up the bum and start thinking that the stats are in our favour this time, it's more common to go on to have a normal pregnancy after an mmc... Just having a bad day I guess but just feel so frightened.

loveulotslikejellytots · 12/06/2015 13:06

Melon, from asda online. Picked them up yesterday.

Goodness - I sometimes wear a long ish top and a long cardi, the top wouldn't be long enough on it's own. Or I use them instead of tights. I wear loads of ballet pumps, no heels here. Or sandals/flip flops when I'm not at work.

AlohaMama · 12/06/2015 13:28

kep and mini glad you had great scans.

teenie sorry you're feeling anxious. It's hard until you have the reassurance of the scan. thanks for keeping the stats updated. Please can you update me with 12 wk scan 30th June, and EDD 9th Jan. Thanks.

gouda I've been wearing leggings most of the time as it's easier on the nausea. I wear long tunic tops from white stuff, and flat ballet shoes or flip flops, or knee length boots if its cold. Not necessarily high fashion but it works for me right now!

melonface · 12/06/2015 13:51

teenie sending positive vibes! I know how you feel. I had a scan this week dating me at 7 weeks and the relief I felt is now long gone! I'm just taking it a day at a time, 3 weeks til booking in then hopefully 12 week scan will be right after

I

kep1979 · 12/06/2015 14:46

Teenie I can totally understand why you are worried, sending positive vibes. I have just finished reading a (fiction) book which was about the mind's power over physical objects and it got me thinking, what if there is some truth in it (which was the author's view). So I decided that I am going to give out positive vibes and be optimistic and see what happens Smile

On a totally different subject, Hotmilk have 30% off everything today - I can highly recommend the sleeping bras for comfort - I am living in mine at the mo (so getting another one). They seem to have a decent amount of growing room too, so hope they last. Also noticed that Isabella Oliver have 15% off with the code CX315. I hope Seraphine do soon too - I am eyeing up some maternity jeans - I ordered some (a size bigger) 7 for all mankind jeans as I live in mine, but not totally convinced that it's worth keep upsizing as they are not cheap. So going to get a Seraphine pair and see what they look like. My experience last time was that first trimester mat wear in my size was too big, second trimester had t go up to my size plus one in mat wear, and grew out of everything in third trimester. We will see.
