Oooh Phiz we're scan date twins!!! Grin

flyinghighinthesky · 11/06/2015 19:20

So on the weird dream front my DH was quite jealous when I told him about this one.
I was at some kind of festival in a forest that the president was attending, I suddenly realised he was about to be kidnapped by a robot army and had to save him. I helped him escape and then woke up as we were being hunted by the robots.
WTF?!
Maybe watching ex-machina the night before explains it...

lilyb84 · 11/06/2015 19:34

Hi all, I'm a bit late here (only just discovered this topic/thread) - room for one more?

I'm 8 weeks today going by LMP but I think my scan (7th July) is likely to have me a bit earlier as fairly sure I OV'd around CD18... but either way all being well I'll be due in the last couple of weeks of Jan.

Excited! Nauseous, but excited! And nice to meet you all (if you'll have me...) Smile

Lookingforadvice123 · 11/06/2015 19:40

Scan went well yey! Measuring a day ahead this time at 10+4, still sticking to the LMP date until the 12 week scan though. Heard the heartbeat and the scan was so clear, it actually looks like a baby whereas at 8+3 it sort of looked like a bean.

Just want my 12 week scan to be here now, 2 weeks to go!

How is everyone? Those who are worried about their symptoms coming and going, mine have done the same, in fact only yesterday I was worried as hadn't had nausea, then it started worse than ever and today is the same!

Joey0805 · 11/06/2015 19:46

Hey Lily, welcome :)

My booking in appt was generally a success: it started 5 mins early, they kindly called and booked my scan whilst I was there as I'm travelling loads with work the next 2 weeks (it's on 25th June), I've only put on one kg and they told me I would be consultant led care of me as I have epilepsy so apparently I'm higher risk (not quite sure I follow the logic but fine by me!). However 2 negatives; the clinic don't take bloods (no one told me this and my letter clearly states that bloods are taken as part of the booking in appt). Thankfully we finished early enough that I could jump in an uber and dash to the hospital to get them taken before they closed - otherwise I'd have been stuffed due to my upcoming work travel and the hospital being quite far from my office. And then some pikey stole my Balenciaga scarf. Admittedly I stupidly left it in the waiting room so it is my fault but how uncool to just nick it! Urgh, That's a London NHS clinic for you I guess!

Symptoms wise mine come and go too - I almost always have one of the trio of nausea, tiredness and bloating to keep me from panicking though... All 3 together is pretty grim though!

Blackandwhitecat3 · 11/06/2015 20:20

Joey I had my booking in appt today too - one and a half hours! They couldn't log into the hospital system so hand to fill out all the forms by hand.

Really nice midwife though, and wonderful to be going to the doctors for such a positive reason. I may also need consultant-led care as I have past history of epilepsy, but they said the consultant will assess me and might just refer me back to the MW. Good to know they're so thorough.

My weight is exactly the same as before I started IVF, can't quite believe it, however I have a definite little bump now, even in the he mornings when my bloating has gone down. Boobs have grown again too!

It was so hot today - lovely to see the sun and to stop feeling cold, but I definitely found it a struggle in the heat.

MW said retching while teeth cleaning was really common, but unfortunately she didn't have any magic advice.

Looking congrats on the scan. Must be amazing to see an actually baby shape in there, instead of a blob. Really looking forward to my 12 weeks scan now, just 2 and a bit weeks.

And welcome Lily! Congrattos to you, and yes there's definitely room on here Smile

Lookingforadvice123 · 11/06/2015 20:24

joey we're 12 week scan buddies! Where I am they don't take bloods at the booking in appt so mine will be taken at the scan, I expect to be there for hours because I was there just waiting for an hour last time! They also never weighed me which I find weird? I've never been weighed by a doctor in my life, even when I went on the pill she just looked at me and said you're clearly not overweight so it was fine...

lilyb84 · 11/06/2015 20:32

Thanks joey and blackandwhite!

ValancyJane · 11/06/2015 21:14

Kep Thank you, I hope I do too! Early on I had a bit of a tizz about my boobs not hurting, spent most of the day poking them to see if they'd started hurting... Eventually twigged they were fine in the morning but really sore by the end of the day! Also, your dreams sound far more fun!!

Hopeful Thanks that's really reassuring to know you were in the same boat! Fingers crossed I see a nice heartbeat too on Sunday :)

Welcome Lily - you're similar to me, based on LMP I'm officially 8 weeks today, but ovulated on CD17 so have been calling myself 7+4 :)

Looking Congratulations on the scan, glad all was looking good!

lilyb84 · 11/06/2015 21:28

Good to know, Valancy, think I'll start thinking a few days behind so I'm ready for a later date at the scan!

Blackandwhitecat3 · 11/06/2015 21:30

Finally had time to read through today's posts Smile

Joey I'm using Bio oil, seems really good, not too greasy and has already made a difference to some old scars. Just can't quite believe how expensive it is

Oyster I had an apple this afternoon for the first time in....?.....months. Most delicious thing I've ever eaten. Crazy this new sense of smell/taste.

Definitely sleeping better this week (week 9) and nausea although still quite intense, seems to come and go quicker. Beginning to be able to enjoy being pregnant again Smile

Good luck tomorrow with your scan Kep, and like eveyone has said, glad the support has helped, and don't feel silly about the check ups even though spotting has stopped, it's really scary and the EPU is there so that you can get checked out. I'd stopped spotting the same morning I started, and went in for a scan the next day, but it was wonderful to have the reassurance and the staff at the EPU were amazing.

Felt amazing today so decided to go for a run with running club .... Nice 4 miles feeling great to get some exercise done .... Now I feel rubbish!! Nausea and dizzyness with a vengence!!!

melonface · 11/06/2015 21:49

Mrsfaz I tried to run tonight and only managed 10 minutes and had to walk the rest. Legs like lead, so tired. Ah well I'm sure even a little bit of exercise is better than nothing!

Welcome Lily Smile

We just told father in law the happy news, so weird to be talking about it with someone other than DH! Lost my wonderful mother in law last year so our family needs some good news.

fishermanswife1 · 11/06/2015 21:50

Hi Lily Congrats!

We must be EDD buddies jmac Smile

Great news on the scan today looking.

Good luck for your scan tomorrow kep, no need to feel bad. It's worth it to put your mind at rest. Try to get a decent nights rest, despite your .... Energetic dreams!

Nausea and bloat discomfort barely made an appearance today. Though I got really tired walking the dog this eve and my boobs are like rocks. DH can't keep his eyes off and thinks their great, until I flinch whenever he gets near them!

Lookingforadvice123 · 11/06/2015 22:01

Thanks all and good luck for tomorrow kep.

Those of you exercising, you're making me heave just thinking about it! Looking forward to hopefully feeling normal in the 2nd trimester.

coffeenut · 11/06/2015 23:37

welcome lily!

looking so happy that your scan went well!! Flowers

kep you and your 50 shades dream made me laugh. I've also been having similar - in fact all of my dreams are either about sex or they revolve around DH having an affair. Last night I found a love letter which DH had written to a (RL) colleague - I woke up so upset!! These hormones mess with my head.

To all of you who have lost weight or put nothing on EnvyAngry

crumble74 · 12/06/2015 07:23

Good luck for your scan today kep! Hope you're not too nervous.

Welcome lily and congrats on the good scan looking

Blackandwhitecat3 · 12/06/2015 07:31

I am so tired this morning I want to cry Sad. Anyone else feeling in dire need of a duvet day? I thought about it, but as I missed so much yesterday from that extra long MW appt I can't face calling in sick.

OP posts:
mrschatty · 12/06/2015 07:43

B&w I've had two R+R days much needed but heading back to work today just planning on keeping my head down.
My hormones have made me a phycho- last night I snapped at poor DH for the way he was chewing his food- we were at dmils house and she kindly said 'you've always done that and your brother you need to stop now or you'll be showing baby bad habits!'
Then at home I was a hormonal rage cow took myself to bed at 9 crying until DH came to console me and tell me everything is ok...definitely pregnant.

Lookingforadvice123 · 12/06/2015 07:44

b&w work is a big struggle for me, I'm still in bed even though I've been up for 45mins! My line manager is lovely and says if you're too tired/sick don't come in, but my team is so busy right now I feel too guilty not going in. Luckily I have flexi time so as long as I have no meetings I can start as late as I like. I'm so irritable with everyone though, the person who I manage (who is a piss taker anyway) turned round yesterday and said they were going home because "they felt a bit ill". I wanted to scream at her "join the club, but I'm still in work!".

aloha I forgot to say my scan showed yesterday that my cyst has gone. Not too bothered either way as I wasn't worried about it, but it's a shame we can't be cyst-buddies any more Wink

coffeenut · 12/06/2015 08:27

GRRRRRR.

So big surprise, I got a call a few hours ago from the pathology centre saying I would have to have my bloods retaken for the harmony test as the collection nurse had fucked up.

The guy on the phone sure found out all about pregnancy rage, let me tell you.

Juniper44 · 12/06/2015 08:41

When I was pregnant with DD, I moved house / hospital so had to have a second booking appointment. They said I was very overweight as my bmi was 30. Consequently, I'd automatically be referred to consultant led care...

I did point out I was 32 weeks pregnant! That seemed to have slipped their minds...
the joys (and lack of logic) that comes from swapping hospitals.

Oysterbabe · 12/06/2015 08:47

Any one else really gone off meat? Not appealing to me at all.

fishermanswife1 · 12/06/2015 08:51

Oh coffee that's infuriating. I think you said you're going away, will you get chance to have them done again before?

Woke up this morning to a possible UTI...ergh. Now waiting on Dr call back as already by 8:30 this morning there were no available emergency appointments....

I'm supposed to be going away at 2 this pm. Hope this doesn't hold everything up
