Oh no bex mention away. It's my own fault for not organising anything! Really I just couldn't think where to go to suit everyone and as DD is going to camp I just let it slide.

We usually go to my mum's but it's too hot this time of year for DS. Maybe in October or so, we might get cheap flights.

I'm living in my leggings I must say.

Raffertys · 06/06/2015 18:36

Hello everyone. All well? Just trying to catch up but on the app so it's impossible to reply to everyone.

I was also recently a POAS addict. I got a 3+ at 4+6 with an afternoon wee Hmm

Raffertys · 06/06/2015 18:38

Oh and those suffering with mega bloating, feel that too totally not wearing maternity leggings right now

pretzelpieces · 06/06/2015 18:43

Welcome bex, we have the same due date! I'm also a first time mum.

Definitely bloated here. Have bought a couple of cheap pairs of primark leggings in a size up as I'm definitely between my regular clothes and maternity wear, don't want to invest in anything that won't fit long.

SweetCharlotteRose · 06/06/2015 18:51

I'm not feeling positive if people are getting 3+ early and in the afternoon and I got 1-2 yesterday.
I can't shake it. I think there must be something wrong.

Brummiegirl15 · 06/06/2015 19:27

Charlotte please try not to worry my lovely. Those indicators are really really unreliable. I know it's hard and worrying, really I do. But they are so unreliable.

If you are worried have you thought about booking an early scan for reassurance? You can pay for them at lots of places

Big hugs

Brummiegirl15 · 06/06/2015 19:29

I've got a holiday sorted - going to Florida when I'll be 21 weeks, intend to do nothing but lie by the pool - but worried about flight though

rallytog1 · 06/06/2015 19:30

Please please don't worry Charlotte - in my last pregnancy I never got beyond 2-3 weeks, and the result is now a very bossy and noisy 2yo dd.

I'm looking like going the same way this time - I got 2-3 when I knew I was over 5 weeks. As pps have said, there could be a million reasons for it. I've also known people who had 3+ while they were miscarrying. The point is that those digis are not diagnostic tests. No medical professional would date your pregnancy or judge its ongoing progress from one, and neither should you.

It is SO hard when you can't see or feel what's growing inside you. Sadly, it's good practice for the constant worry you feel for the rest of your life when you have dcs!

purdiepie · 06/06/2015 19:31

Charlotte, there is nothing you can do but fight the fear, listen to the sensible advice on here and/or pay for an early scan. Let me tell you: the scans reassure you for all of 72 hours before you start worrying you'll mc before the next one. If you don't get a handle on the irrational thoughts now you are going to face a drought pregnancy.

Ignore the stupid digital indicators; cramps with bleeding are the most likely indicator of trouble, not ambiguous digital sticks.

You sound especially anxious about your pregnancy, was it hard-won? Would you like to talk about why you think this would be the end of ttc if the worst case scenario came true?

purdiepie · 06/06/2015 19:33

*drought = fraught!

jellypi3 · 06/06/2015 19:34

Can only echo what everyone else has said. Please try not to worry. Those tests aren't HCG monitors, they are just pregnant/not pregnant tests.

Stressing over this will only make things worse. It is so difficult but try to relax and get some rest. At this stage you can do nothing to influence the outcome except for taking care of yourself.

SweetCharlotteRose · 06/06/2015 19:37

Yes, it's off the back of three failed fertility cycles for male factor infertility after we were told it was highly unlikely we'd ever conceive naturally.
I'm just not this lucky. Why do I deserve to be happy? I just cannot see a take home baby at the end of a healthy pregnancy.

Apparently if it's taken longer than a year to conceive (we've been trying two and a half years) then your miscarriage risk doubles.

For all newbies, welcome and congrats! jellypi3 has created a spreadsheet for all our stats, heres the link

Marsaday · 06/06/2015 20:07

Has anyone here told family yet? I don't know when to tell. Last time i had a scan at 9 weeks due to a bleed. Everything was fine so told family then. Told work the following week as they'd given me lots of exam classes for the following year and i wanted them to give them a chance change it as its rubbish for exam classes to swap teacher part way through the year.

To do that this time though i would have to tell work at 7 weeks... However i am also going on a one week residental trip including a theme park when i'll be 10 weeks. Not sure if i should tell them- someone is bound to ask why im.not going on any rides...

nightandthelight · 06/06/2015 20:20

Can you not be the one staying with the kids too scared to go on the rides mars? Are you having another early scan? I personally wouldn't tell work before that but it's a completely personal choice :)

Marsaday · 06/06/2015 20:23

The scan was an emergency one at epau last time , as i had a bleed, so unless i have another bleed there's no reason for epau to scan me. Debating a private reassurance scan at 7 weeks... Should be enough to.see a heartbeat.

nightandthelight · 06/06/2015 20:24

When and who to tell is a tough one! Have you told anyone so far?

Marsaday · 06/06/2015 20:27

Just you ladies! Grin

purdiepie · 06/06/2015 20:38

Charlotte, who the hell told you that crock of shit?? It is categorically untrue. No-one 'deserves' to be pregnant any more or less than anybody else. You are only irrational about your miracle because you suffered failure twice beforehand. With all due respect you need to get a handle on this fear and that feeling that you are somehow unworthy of this baby.

Doesn't this baby deserve a mum who is quietly hoping for the best and putting her energy into being as positive as she can? I am 44 soon with one fallopian tube and a donor egg ivf baby who I gave birth to last year as I was led to believe, due to a previous missed miscarriage, that my eggs were too ancient. I have been given odds of 50% miscarriage for my age. Now that's scary, but why can't I be in the 50% that doesn't suffer a loss?

Please get a hold of your fear before fear gets a hold of you. Your baby deserves better than this.

Drunkendonut · 06/06/2015 20:45

Hi all! Just thought I'd pop back and update.
Started bleeding on Tuesday night and thought it was all over. I've had loads of cramping but I also get very bad pain in successful pregnancies so I'm not thinking too much about that. Anyway the bleeding has been on and off, going red to brown but only ever when I wipe, not very heavy. Test still a strong positive.
Been getting right sided pain so went to GP yesterday who referred me to EPU. They were fantastic and I was examined - cervix still closed. Had a scan where they saw a small sac but still too early to see much else. Also had HCG bloods done and am back tomorrow to get second lot.
So really I've got no idea. I'm still having red bleeding so I'm hoping the HCG results will give me some idea what is happening.
I still feel very pregnant. Have nausea and sore boobs. Tbh at this point I expect the worst but I just want to know one way or another! Limbo is horrific.
Sorry to hear others are going through this too. :(

Carltonlives · 06/06/2015 20:55

Hi all!! Hope everyone and their teeny tiny poppy seed babes are keeping well :-)

rattycatty I've been getting stomach twinges and stretching sensations in my tummy today, i think that's normal :-)

sweetcharlotte I got 2-3 on a clear blue digi at 4+1 yesterday, but I don't think those things are too accurate tbh

night yay for positivity!! Just take each day as it comes lovely, today you are pregnant :-)

Welcome peachy! Enjoy your holiday :-)

tired I'm glad you didn't come all over the shop :-D

brummie Florida sounds awesome! I'm sure the flight will be fine, you can always walk up and down the plane if you feel uncomfortable

I've tried to add my stats but can't seem to do it on my phone, can someone add me? I'm 27, dc#2, I'm 4+2 today and from Surrey :-)

Re when to tell people, last time I told my mum, dh's close family and my best friend at about 9 weeks, before I'd had any scan. I just thought that if I did have a mc I would want them to know, want their support. This time I think we will do something similar, def not telling anyone for at least this month though.

mars I think you should tell someone who will be on the trip with you. Esp if it's for a week. In the event of something happening to you eg passing out you will want someone to know that you're pregnant.

drunkendonut so sorry to hear of your bleed. It must be so so scary. Try and rest up as best you can

Happy wine-free Saturday night people Grin

Boobear1983 · 06/06/2015 21:00

Mars i have already told work at 6 weeks due to the job i do. I have only tild my immediate supervisor though, not collegues. I won't be telling family til after 12 weeks when I've had a scan. Has anyone had a private scan? I'm considering getting one at 8 weeks as this is my first pregnancy.

nightandthelight · 06/06/2015 21:07

I have added you Carlton :)

I have one booked for 7+5 bear as no one I am patient enough to get to 12 weeks :)

nightandthelight · 06/06/2015 21:07

No way not no one

Carltonlives · 06/06/2015 21:20

Thanks night Smile
