Welcome ARV. I'm due 02/09/15... Also team yellow Smile

Confident that what I'm feeling is baby moving around now, have seen what I imagine to be a foot sticking out and DW has felt baby move for the first time (cue lots of silly girlie tears....mostly on my part!).

Glad everyone is doing well. Flowers

Purpleball · 10/05/2015 12:13

Hello, can I join please.

I'm 20+5 due 22/9 and flavour unknown.
Im probably having an ELCS at 38 weeks due to diabetes (not GD)

Current symptoms are a huge belly, sore back, and a baby that likes The Killers (either that or it was expressing displeasure at loud music and my singing)

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 10/05/2015 12:55

Welcome purple Smile

LouLoulondon34 · 10/05/2015 14:25

I am finding the whole pregnancy process a lot harder than I expected. I am 22 weeks and still feel tired, can't make a decision and a bit sick (which is getting very old). This sounds so superficial and stupid, however what I am struggling with mentally is the fact I am obviously healthily gaining weight, but I struggle to make it to the gym more than once a week and then feel guilty for lying on the sofa eating chocolate (eating helps the feeling of sickness pass). Rationally I know I should just roll with it, however I just feel so out of sorts and not how I expected to feel by this point.

DeladionInch · 10/05/2015 14:37

Sorry, LouLou the whole of parenting is a litany of "not quite how I expected it to be" ime!

LouLoulondon34 · 10/05/2015 14:38

Ha ha, indeed. ??

LouLoulondon34 · 10/05/2015 14:39

I am just having a bit of a blah weekend and feeling a bit sorry for myself. Will go and have another chocolate and pull on my big girl pants

DeladionInch · 10/05/2015 14:43

Big girl panties are impossible to hoik without lubrication by chocolate Cake

JessTT · 10/05/2015 14:43

You are not alone **LouLou.....am bit miserable this time round (3rd and final pregnancy!) and struggling in ways I just didn't with my other 2! Bring on September! Don't beat yourself up about the chocolate though, it's necessary! Xxxx

DoNotDenyMe · 10/05/2015 17:32

Hi and welcome to purple and ARV!
ARV, I'm also due 14th Sept with a team yellow baby Wink (2nd one).

DoNotDenyMe · 10/05/2015 17:34

Nice to hear that many of you seem to be enjoying chocolate as much as I am- cake too?? I can't get enough choc chip muffins!!!

Treaclepie19 · 10/05/2015 18:15

I'm back loving chocolate after the first 12 weeks when I couldn't stand the stuff-dh knew there was something wrong when a creme egg in the fridge went untouched for weeks!
Welcome to all the newbies x

Snowflake15 · 10/05/2015 19:11

Chocolate aggravates my terrible heartburnSad

Purpleball · 10/05/2015 19:44

I missed the team yellow bit...I'm one too :-)

Unfortunately type 2 diabetes stops me eating chocolate and cake mostly so I'm currently 5lbs down on my starting weight thanks probably to not drinking!
My BMI is over 35 so I'm just using up reserves and trying not to stress about gaining. Baby is the right size so I must be doing something right. Hopefully I won't gain much over the 2nd half Smile

ambientolf · 10/05/2015 19:54

I've been craving sugary drinks over the past couple of weeks & have been having quite a lot (Which I don't usually) so I've decided from tomorrow I'm sticking to water & cordial on a normal day. I feel guilty I'm not giving my baby healthy food & drinks but I have always struggled with food & I don't know how to eat "normal" when I'm not pregnant (I used to either binge or starve & I was slightly overweight to start with)! Must make better choices, but not going to stress when I want a bar of chocolate either Smile

DoNotDenyMe · 10/05/2015 19:55

Treacle the Tesco bakery ones are gorgeous... I'm getting through 2/3 packs a week!Blush

DeladionInch · 10/05/2015 20:19

Today I discovered lidl hazelnut praline pain au chocolate. Bliss.

craftynanny · 10/05/2015 21:19

this is probably a REALLY silly question..but those of you who have felt baby move, was it when you were concentrating on it? or did it happen whilst you were thinking of something else and it was so prominent you knew what it was straight away..I haven't felt anything yet I don't think (I'm 20+4) and just can't imagine what it's going to be likeConfused xx

Snowflake15 · 10/05/2015 21:28

crafty I'm same dd as you, mine is usually when I'm doing something else, but quite still like sitting down or driving or watching tv. Yesterday whilst laying on the sofa watching Telly and playing on my phone I had my first definite one that made me jump! Anterior placenta is so annoying though can't wait til I can feel him all the time

Hi crafty, I'm 21+4 with dc2 and I think the first time I felt this baby move was when I was lying on my side quietly and really concentrating! Now I tend to feel it if I'm sitting down reading a story to ds, or eating or drinking something hot, but it's only lityle fluttery feelings. You may have felt it already but not realised it iyswim!

craftynanny · 10/05/2015 21:37

Oh wow, and how do you know it's not just a little rumbly tummy, or a general twitch in your tummy? or do you just 'know'? I can't wait to feel something but I just haven't had any inkling at all yet! hopefully it'll come soon xxx

Yes mine are quite low down by hip bones almost, and I've never felt a muscle twitch there before! Some feel like light taps. I think I can only feel so low as my placenta is anterior high, in the scan he has his feet kicking up by my belly button and I couldn't feel anythingHmm
