I feel exactly the same amusville and ditzzy!
Ive got in my head now that I'll be having a c section and I'm actually nervous that they'll say no. Im meeting the consultant again on Wednesday to find out.

I feel the same goo! Was looking at my bump pic from nearly 9 weeks where I thought I was massively bloated... I'm tiny!!!!

I probably should've joined the fb group :p I just kept forgetting.

Its very strange how you come around to the idea! Good luck tomorrow dittzy and on wed for you treaclepie hope you both get the answer you want. I'm suddenly feeling very nervous. I'm still holding on the hope that if my placenta is ok , her lying breach might still keep me in the game! Crazy I know!

BeautyBoo · 07/08/2015 01:13

Good luck to you all with upcoming decision maker appointments!! Smile

ditzzy · 07/08/2015 08:01

Thanks Beauty! At the moment I'm juggling the needs of my 9 am appointment of a full bladder and a urine sample.... Grin

ditzzy · 07/08/2015 08:04

And amusville - thanks and good luck for yours too! I must be nervous, I didn't even notice your post to start with Blush

ditzzy · 07/08/2015 10:02

Well, I don't quite have the definitive answer - I've had the scan this morning, but consultants appointment to interpret result is now next Tuesday!!

Scan result shocking though, gone from placenta still touching the top of the cervix less than 4 weeks ago to now being 3 cm away!!! (And her head is below the leading edge of the placenta, which I guess means she can come out before it) Having not seen the consultant obviously I don't know the official answer but my understanding is that over 2 cm away and they let you get on with it yourself....

I'd better get back in the frame of mind that she could arrive any time in Aug or Sept Grin

And she's put on about a kg in weight since the last scan... No wonder my back is starting to complain!

Treaclepie19 · 07/08/2015 11:05

Thanks ladies :)

How do you feel about that dittzy? Hope you're able to get an answer soon. I'm finding the not knowing frustrating!

I'm just feeling even more impatient treacle! Both to know what's going to happen and for the happening to start happening!!

The idea of waiting another 6 weeks rather than 2 (if I could now go overdue without anyone worrying) is now just really odd. Having started with so many risk factors that were going to prevent that I should be celebrating if they've all resolved, but just seems odd!

It'll be interesting to see what the consultant says next week - then I ought to start thinking about a birth plan. I'd assumed I didn't have all that many options...

Treaclepie19 · 07/08/2015 12:20

I can imagine!
I hope you get a good outcome from the consultant.

I can't even imagine now being told I could go overdue... that'd mean another 8 weeks and a day I could be pregnant.

Strangely now, I keep thinking baby is going to come on the 16th even though I'm not due til the 19th.
Wonder if that's because I've got in my head I'll be having a section?

Well ditzzy that makes two of us. Mines moved from 11mm to 52! Also she's done a full 180° and is lying head down, now totally normal for this point in pregnancy! So no section or at least not planned anyway. She's weighing in at a whipping 4 lbs 13 oz so far. Had not even considered going overdue so I am now freaking about that!

ditzzy · 07/08/2015 18:54

Excellent news amusville ! Maybe I'll have to start believing the '90%' move out the way in time after all Grin although I still feel justified in having worried in the meantime.

bonzo77 · 10/08/2015 20:38

Growth scan this evening. Baby's rate of growth has slowed again, now around 5th percentile. But fluid levels look ok as do dopplers. So booked for another scan a week tomorrow, which means a day trip back to London from our holiday in Norfolk. So pleased it's a UK holiday! I'll be 35+4 then, so similar gestation as DS2. I'm sorting my hospital bag now!

In other news, the new bathrooms are taking forever, and one of them has leaked. Round 2 of remedial work today: hope to fuck it's done the trick!

ditzzy · 10/08/2015 21:12

That sounds like your baby thinks you need the holiday bonzo! Fingers crossed all looks good for you next week.

Treaclepie19 · 11/08/2015 00:05

Enjoy your break and I hope all is ok at your next scan bonzo :)

I'm off to the hospital again tomorrow t have blood taken again to check this itching is still harmless.
I've also developed a rash on my arm.

So itchy!!!!!!!!
Not long til I see the consultant now :)

Good luck with next scan bonzo. I've had to call in sick for the first time today after having diarrhea for the past 12 hours. Thought it could be early labour but it's not easing off at all

sweetpetite · 11/08/2015 10:26

Hi all, thought I'd check in with you as it's been a while! Had password issues. Hope everyone is doing ok. Due date 28th Aug so no long now. Decided to go for VBAC so hope I'm not bonkers!!
P.s not sure why but my username has reverted to old one sweet petite should be Toffeegirl39, I will try and change it back!

Toffeegurl39 · 11/08/2015 10:51

Managed to get back to my old name. Sorry for confusion!!
Can anyone tell me how tojoin the fb group? Think that might be easier for me!!

misssmilla1 · 11/08/2015 14:39

Good luck with the scan bonzo, and hope you get to enjoy the rest of the holiday!

34 weeks this Thursday which has flown by! Currently getting the flat painted (and in typical fashion its now pouring down so can't have the windows open to air it so it stinks..) post this, the baby prep starts in earnest with getting the rest of the furniture sorted, bag packed etc. Baby is still breech which is looking like planning for a csection, which means he'll arrive earlier than planned! Off to find out how / when I can invoke my maternity start date as a result...

ShootTheMoon · 11/08/2015 15:55

good luck with your next scan bonzo! We're doing up a bathroom at the moment and it's taken longer than hoped for, especially since DH had to go away for 8 days in the middle of doing it. I could have cried when my downstairs loo was out of action for so long - pregnancy bladder with a 3 year old at home meant a lot of trips upstairs.

ditzzy, I had different issues, but I know the feeling - I started the pregnancy with hypertension but my BP has actually dropped over 20 points since my booking in appt (it's normal outside of pregnancy) and now at 34+5 is measuring 123/62! So my major risk factor seems to be gone - though I'm struggling massively with pelvic girdle pain already and don't know how I'm going to get through the next 3-7 weeks! Amazingly it looks like I may be able to hope for my MW unit waterbirth after all - I'll feel so incredibly lucky if that's possible (until I go overdue and you lovely lot are already having newborn cuddles, I suspect). I hope it all works out for you.

treacle I can't imagine what the itching must feel like in this heat and humidity - I hope there's a way to reduce the discomfort a bit.

DeladionInch · 11/08/2015 16:24

3/5 engaged at 35+3... Yikes!

ditzzy · 11/08/2015 17:51

Just got back from consultant.... Induction booked for due date!! (4th Sept) unless anything 'exciting' happens before then - definitely yikes!!

Also 3/5 engaged Deladion!! Double yikes!!

ShootTheMoon · 11/08/2015 18:01

Deladion - eek!

I have been terribly uncomfortable today, suspect the baby is part way engaged as something has definitely changed. But that's unlikely with a dc2 as I think they usually engage at the last minute!

DeladionInch · 12/08/2015 12:11

This is dc2! And explains why walking more than a couple of hundred yards is so uncomfortable! Ds1 was the same but a few weeks further on

ShootTheMoon · 12/08/2015 14:43

Wow Deladion, maybe it's not so unlikely that my DC2 is engaged then. You have my sympathy, the waddle is awful, isn't it!

bonzo77 · 12/08/2015 14:59

thanks for the good luck messages. I'm really hoping to make it till 1st of september. It really would be so much better for school. My normal consultant though 39 weeks was possible, but this one is saying 37 which would be 28th August! ugh. But if he has to come out he has to come out. No point worrying about a diary date.

Neither of my previous 2 ever got engaged. Not sure why. This one seems very high up too.
