I had to start wearing panty liners early on. Now they are a godsend for if I laugh or cough or sneeze!

Snowflake15 · 11/05/2015 18:21

Omg think I just saw my first kick from the outside! Felt same as other ones almost like a muscle twitch or random pulse but I looked down and saw my belly pop out each time!? Just twice and then he moved..: is it definitely baby isn't it!?Grin

ovumahead · 11/05/2015 19:37

If it's not a baby doing that, you have something to worry about! Wink

Jessica32 · 11/05/2015 20:10

Lovely scan pics everyone!

On movements, I've been lucky I think and felt mine for a while. It also often sits quite high so have had kicks (or punches?) near my tummy button and a lot lower down. I would say at the start it's difficult to tell between baby and gurgling tummy, but once they're stronger it is as though they are in front. A bit like you can tell whether a pain is in your back or your tummy, it's like a 3rd layer, a tummy in front of a tummy if that makes sense? I can have gurgling and baby together and know which is which.

I would also say to snowflake (I think, sorry can't check and type as post on previous page!) that the hardness you can feel is baby. I often lie on my back in the morning and can tell baby is high, lying a little to the left (often sits there)and feel a hard lump with my hand. I then get up and go to the bathroom, go back and lie on my back again, and I feel pressure lower, then feel with my hand and it's hard across my bladder. Sometimes kicking too but not necessarily. So I can't say I feel it change position but I know when it happens.

Sorry for essay!

Hello jaxtree I am due on 30th too.

I have been stupidly busy over the past couple of weeks but in a moment of quiet yesterday I definitely felt two pokes in the same place. The scans all look great mine is now less than a week away.

DeladionInch · 11/05/2015 22:10

m.youtube.com/watch?v=YkLwS32Jj9Q this is hilarious

Boodlymummy · 11/05/2015 22:33

Teehee!

Boodlymummy · 11/05/2015 22:53

OMG today I have hit an all-new hunger zone (21 weeks). Had two teas, then cereal this evening, and now making toast as hunger was keeping me awake.

jaxtreehorn · 12/05/2015 07:09

Im 20 weeks this week, and i've had little flutters and heavy feelings from about week 18 but I only seem to get them every few days. I am guessing with running around at work it is harder to notice them. When did everyone go from that stage to full on definite kicks daily?

Choccyhobnob · 12/05/2015 12:27

Around about 20weeks jaxtree just discovered I have an anterior placenta so may not be feeling as much movement as I should but definitely getting little pokes sticking out of my belly for the last 2 weeks Smile I love them!

monkeymoonpig · 12/05/2015 13:24

Just had a very short walk in town and had to slow down/waddle with stitch. How the hell am i gonna manage (a very hilly) Center Parcs next week?!!

monkeymoonpig · 12/05/2015 13:25

Im 23+1 and have been having movements for a while (2nd baby), definite kicks for a couple of weeks and seeing movement from outside for first time last night! I do have quite a bit of padding so pleased with that lol

Jessica32 · 12/05/2015 13:53

Hi Jax I probably went from a bit like you to feeling definite kicks every day around 19 and a half weeks. It seemed to change overnight though. All of a sudden baby was there a lot.

jaxtreehorn · 12/05/2015 14:06

Ok so I spoke way too soon this morning, after not feeling anything for two days and getting a little concerned, I feel like i've had a fish swimming in there the last few hours! Seems to have stepped up a gear! In fact I think it has shoes on.. HmmSmile

jaxtreehorn · 12/05/2015 14:08

I'm the same Monkey, got lots of padding so don't think DH will feel it for quite a while

Choccyhobnob · 12/05/2015 16:16

DH gets very upset that he can't feel the kicks when I can! But he doesn't have the patience to sit there with his hand on my stomach for 20mins lol

Maths88 · 12/05/2015 16:21

I've not had anything you can feel from the outside yet but can feel movement inside every evening - seems to be when he's most active. I do have a lot of padding though and anterior placenta.

monkeymoonpig · 13/05/2015 07:09

DP felt some really good kicks this morning for first time, quite amusing. He was surprised how hard some were, and they were relatively small ones! If only i could pursuade DS to sit with his hand on my tummy for a couple of mins, i think it would help him understand better

Mrseb28 · 13/05/2015 07:12

Morning ladies still lurking but find the Facebook site easier to use! Off for 20 w scan this morn then back to work this afty after 6 weeks off sick so wish me luck! Will catch up with pages today Wink

DeladionInch · 13/05/2015 07:46

mid whinge yesterday ds climbs on me, sticks his face into the bump and says "love you baby"

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 13/05/2015 08:23

My DS is loving the bump too, yesterday he said he was going to listen to bip but put his ear just down from my heart. His little face when he looked up all excited 'bip's playing the drums!!' Sooo cute Grin

Purpleball · 13/05/2015 09:11

DH hasn't felt much here, odd faint movements but there's plenty of padding and I often only feel it if I'm lying on my left side

SomewhereovertheRainbow02 · 13/05/2015 10:40

My DP only felt first kicks on Sunday, I was 22+5 with 2nd pregnancy.
He also felt them again last night after a relatively quiet day.
I have a lazy baby I think. But it feels amazing that he can now feel baby and not just me Smile

Whatabout · 13/05/2015 11:28

Finally caught up with the thread!

22+4 and feeling lots of movement. I've got a very low posterior placenta this time so lots more than last time.

Off work following a nasty bout of gastro that I think was due to touching a box that had a mouldy kiwi fruit in at a flying club in Peterborough. Toddler was trying to touch it and I removed it before he could.

Feeling really fat, I have the hideous two stage bump with a really obvious indent at my belly button. It's hideous.

I work full time, no idea what I'll do with regard how long off / going back / not going back / part time / changing jobs. I haven't even thought how we are going to cope financially. I guess we just will!
