Chop my fingers are crossed we both manage to keep our stomachs in check mid flight!
My local hospital has also been on one born! Though I work there so I'm contemplating going elsewhere to avoid familiar faces! Anyone know if we get much choice hospital wise and if we can elect to go somewhere?

Am also wondering about stats? Don't think I've been added?

abi2790 · 19/04/2015 12:32

So today is the first day I've actually felt I need to be sick. I've had nausea where I just feel a bit queasy but today my mouth has been watering and I'm aching everywhere from needing to puke!

I'm in salford and I plan to have a home birth this time. I was induced with ds and it was not a nice experience (the hospital was fine during birth it was after I had problems). I had problems with my heart rate with ds so I'm not sure whether I'll be recommended a home birth but I would definitely much prefer to be at home if it's possible

I might. thank you. I'm fine with penicillin so long as it is bacterial. back at work tomorrow so a bit harder to fit in trips to the Dr but mine are pretty good at getting you in on the day and they're open til 6. it is getting slightly better but not gone by any means.thanks

Glenpip77 · 19/04/2015 13:12

Metel &whatsfor - another over 35 here. I'm 38, was 34 when I had DD. Feeling old with everyone saying they were born in the 80's or later Wink

LabMonkey · 19/04/2015 13:25

Hi chops, I don't work in a lab any more but I still work in the scientific community.

kaffkooks · 19/04/2015 14:23

Tammie, my asthma's worse as well, not helped by recent cold. I'm coughing a lot in the morning, especially when the cold air hits me when I leave the house.

Shiny, I had my 30th birthday when 32 weeks pregnant. Just had a chilled out day with lots of friends and a nice meal in the evening. It was good to have a chance to see everyone before my life changed forever!

Feeling awful and very sorry for myself today. Starting to panic about having 2 children to deal with so I have bought a book called "Coping with two." I found reading lots before ds arrived very useful as I'm not the most instinctive mother. Worried getting pregnant has messed up our fairly stable situation and my career, which was only just getting back on track after DS. I should be sitting here writing a paper but can't concentrate.

HariboBrenshnio · 19/04/2015 15:14

Waiting - where I live, there's a big hospital and a littler one a bit further away. I really don't like the big hospital at all and so with DS I just told my Gp, who was referring me to the midwives, that I wanted the smaller one and he put it on his referral so when I got to my booking in appointment they had the papers for the other hospital. They don't like it that I do that as its extra work for them. I don't see the midwives from the small hospital for my check ups as I'm technical out of the area for it so they have to pass my information back and forth. So if you want a different hospital to the one closest to you, make it known before your booking in appointment!

I'm not feeling really sick but my appetite is none existent. I thought I wanted something sweet but in Sainsbury's earlier literally nothing appealed which is unusual! I'm so tired too, me and DS just had a 3 hour nap!

toadierocks · 19/04/2015 15:26

Afternoon Ladies

Sorry to hear that the preggar symptoms are kicking in for some of you, I've just got super exhaustion today so I'm off for a snooze!

Here are the ###STATS### chopsface and I've got you on there waitingforegg Grin

Think it might be a good idea to add a location/area column WFYWGBY then people can share local info too, I'll add it in now.

Abi I had a home birth with DS and will be planning another if all goes smoothly. Hope you get plenty of support from the midwives where you are! Home birth team here (other side of the pennines!) are awesome.

egg you can definitely opt for one of two hospitals round our way - worth checking but sure it can't be that different all over the country?

Exhaustion hitting new levels here - feel like my eyeballs are going to drop out!

shinysparklythings · 19/04/2015 16:26

Arghh wrote a big post and somehow cancelled it Confused

Thanks toadie for the stats, couple to add for me please booking in on8th of May which is far more interesting than the new government that will be forming and I'm in Hull.

No choice for me in terms of hospital, they closed the second birthing unit a few years ago so it's the big city centre hospital. I couldn't have a homebirth, I would feel far more relaxed being at hospital with access to everything in case of emergency.

The exhaustion is ride here too! I had a really good nights sleep last night but still had to have an afternoon nap as I couldn't keep my eyes open Hmm.

Fizzie100 · 19/04/2015 16:54

Hey all, glad to hear I'm not the only super snoozy one. Currently about go have a nap! Does anyone have a link to the MC stats by week please? Really trying to keep as calm as I can this time around. Hope everyone is ok x

PeppermintTee · 19/04/2015 16:56

Hello Ladies,

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend. May I join your thread?

Toadie, can you add me to the stats please? I'm due on the 17th December and it will be DC3 for me. I have just turned 40. I had an early mc at 6 weeks in November so I am taking everyday as it comes. I live in Hertfordshire.

PeppermintTee · 19/04/2015 17:08

Fizzie, here's the link to mc stats:

HariboBrenshnio · 19/04/2015 17:26

I'd love a home birth but think I might be headed towards another C section. A water birth is really appealing too.

I'm in West Yorkshire!

dojo123 · 19/04/2015 17:30

Afternoon ladies

Sorry some of you are suffering from nausea and sickness.
6+4 today and not many symptoms to report. Just having a little lie down on the sofa after a lovely walk for an hour. Had a strong metallic taste in my mouth yesterday which was rather weird.

shiny glad you're finding the day by day book helpful. Me and the DH look though it every evening to see what is happening however we have also noticed that the app Glow uses the same paragraphs so maybe linked.

shinysparklythings · 19/04/2015 18:09

dojo I can't find the glow app :( is it only available on android?

dojo123 · 19/04/2015 18:21

shiny type in nurture it should show a g with a leaf at the end. I use an apple phone. Glow was the period/ovulation tracker and this the next one on.

Hi all, can I join?
I have been lurking for a few weeks. I am 7+2 and due on 4th Dec with our second. I am 29 and have a 26 month old DS.
I'm hoping for a smooth pregnancy as we have moved into the house from hell and mum diagnosed with Breast Cancer recently. Here's hoping this baby will bring a better ending to the year!

I'm was born in 1985 too, already had my 30th. Hubs was 1980. When I had my first at 27, I was one of the younger ones at our ante natal classes with most ladies being mid-late 30s. We are all mostly still in touch now actually and catch up regularly which is ace.

Sorry to all those suffering with sickness it's rubbish! I used to throw up every morning last time .... Normally triggered by brushing my teeth or the smell of shampoo! I remember living on Pom bears and baked potatoes for about 3 weeks!!

We are also flying to lanzarote in 2 weeks so keeping everything crossed the sickness stays away! Mostly feeling sick and eating everything in sight!

I have my booking in appointment on Wednesday morning, so looking forward to that!
