Nice to see you here dojo Smile

I'm off to the in-laws for a couple of days this afternoon. I am rubbish at keeping secrets so I'm going to have to try so hard not to accidentally blurt something out!

I have a Dr's appointment on Tuesday morning and then will hopefully be referred to a consultant at the hospital. I've done some reading and apparently I should get offered a scan between 7-9 weeks which is exciting! Oh, and even though my EDD is 8th December, apparently they will want to get the baby out between 37 - 38+5 wks, so I may end up with a November baby. Hope not though, I've decided I like the thought of a December baby!

alphabook · 03/04/2015 14:18

I like the idea of a December baby too...an extra special Christmas present Smile

dojo123 · 03/04/2015 15:40

pug glad I'm not the only one who's crap at keeping a secret. My little bro is making an impromptu visit with his gf (who I found out is 10wks pg last week) on Saturday. We don't want to steal their thunder but we don't know how we'll not be able to tell them!

We've told our families, if something happens I don't really mind if they know about it and I'm superstitious.

toadierocks · 03/04/2015 21:00

Hiya Ladies and great to see you Dojo

Hope everyone's having a great start to their Easter weekend! Just had dinner with my folks and we were bursting to tell them but have decided not to tell anyone until after a scan at 7 weeks, I think that easier said than done though!

Hope you have a good time at in IL's Pug and good luck at the GP's on Tuesday.

What's everyone else's plans over Easter?

I'm having a family dinner tonight as it's Passover, I'm bursting to tell people the news. We've also decided to wait to tell our parents until we've had an early scan, but it feels like a lifetime away!

Only problem is that traditionally you're meant to drink 4 glasses of wine on Passover (tiny ones but still) and there isn't really an excuse to get out of it so I've been pretending to take a sip then sneakily passing it to DH for him to down!

alpha good work on the secret glass swap out! When are you booking your scan? I'm going to try and wait it out until nearly 6 weeks then book it up for 7 weeks, really does seem like a lifetime away doesn't it!

Withalittle Sorry you're in confinement Sad I'm sure it will pass, it can take a good few weeks for the (baby) dust to settle, I know with DD, it wasn't until about 6 weeks that it finally hit home. DH took a while with DD for it to settle in too, he just seemed a bit in shock! just such a rush of emotions finding our your pregnant.

Yeah I think I'd want to wait til at least 7 weeks so there's no ambiguity with the heartbeat but 2 weeks feels like a very long time at the moment!

This is my first so I have no idea how long it will take to really sink in! Sorry about the pox confinement.

dojo123 · 04/04/2015 13:30

Afternoon ladies.

Hope you're all having a lovely Saturday. I've just had a lovely morning with the DH shopping with a bit of brunch chucked in. Feeling shattered though. Having a sit in the car while DH picks up some decaf coffee beans for me (haven't drunk coffee since Christmas) feeling a bit icky too. Ahh gotta love hormones!

Ooh sparkle poor you in confinement and vomit too! Ele that's really good then! Alpha good work on the "drinking". Dojo sounds like a good morning.

I'm not going to bother with an early scan my dh is very logical and wouldn't see the point, but I hope they go well for you lovelies,

I was sat by the pool earlier and worked out that as I'm 5 weeks today I'm 1/8 of the way through this pregnancy! Still feeling really nervous about it all but so excited at the same time. Not even really minding not being able to eat lots of the lovely Spanish food I would normally be on holiday.

Did have a bit of a panic earlier thinking about morning sickness, I'm a teacher and not sure how I'm gonna cope if I get it bad. But I guess there are lots of pg teachers so it must be manageable!

aletea · 04/04/2015 17:11

Hello, I think I'll join you if you dont mind! Ed's 13 December, the same due date as my daughter had! So another xmas eve baby for me no doubt...

toadierocks · 04/04/2015 17:15

Ohno withalittle , quick get the ginger/mint tea on the go! my neighbor used to come round with mint tea that she'd freshly picked/brewed for me and it was lush and a lifesaver!

woohooo shiney an 1/8 though already, I'm liking those % stats! Don't worry about the morning sickness, A lot of women don't get any at all, I only got it for 3 weeks with DD and mostly at night and once it passed, its was totally gone.

OK I've spent the last few hours in bed as I feel so disorientated, not to the point of passing out or anything drastic just all funny so DH tucked me up with a decaf cuppa Smile

However I have put my lazy Saturday to some good use and I've attempted to do a stats spreadsheet - please let me know if I've got any of your info wrong or if I've missed anything.

Thanks toadie, this is DC3 for me though :) and I'm 32.

Withalittle I went to the gym on Wednesday, it was AWFUL. Althgh that could have been the after effect of Tuesday's yoga, which killed me. Is yoga allowed in pregnancy (please say no!)

Hi there everyone. Got a bfp a week ago but wasn't sure about joining another bus so held off saying hello! Due date is 3 December (for now lol).

I have one son who is 1.5 and we decided to stop trying so I could marathon train and boom! So got mixed emotions at the moment as I had mapped out the rest of my year Confused
