So are we just waiting on news from little and lila now?

LittleBairn · 17/04/2015 02:17

Hello all finally checking in, we only got home tonight.
DD was born Monday night she's perfect weighed 6 pounds 9 0z breast feeds really well and only lost 5% of her birth weight.
The birth was really good very speedy about 7/8 hours long and she shot out all at once hence I have a nice 3rd degree tear.
It was repaired straight away and its not as bad as out sounds even the surgeon thinks I should be able to have a vaginal birth again.
So I needed to stay in 24 hours then minutes to discharge they finally decided to check DD levels Jaundice and she was boarderline so needed to be treated with heat lamp.
That was dreadful she's a truly (so far at least!) a peaceful baby but she was inconsolable under the lamp with her eye mask on. DH has been absolutely amazing he sat all night hunched over the crib so she could suck on his finger for comfort.

We got home tonight but need to go back in at 11am for her to have bloods to be done again as she's still borderline. Hopefully it's good and she doesn't need another session.

I need to read back all the birth announcements but it seems like we've had a busy week!

lila I hope everything is going well.

LIG1979 · 17/04/2015 03:16

congratulations little. I hope the jaundice sorts itself out soon.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 17/04/2015 07:07

Congratulations little I'm so happy for you Flowers

I hope DD is ok and doesn't need to go under the heat lamp again that must have been horrible for you all.

TinyTear · 17/04/2015 07:40

Congratulations little.

Hey guys! Congrats little, I cant remember if you had already picked out a name?

Samuel Joseph was born on wednesday afternoon at 13.49, 7lb.13. Two lots of propess and a day of contractions 5 mins apart and I was only 2cm 4 and the same at 8 but Trace showed some concern on his heart rate. They were about to break.my water to get me to 4cm and upto labour ward when I needed a wee, stood up and they went of their own accord with meconium in so within 3 minutes I was Up in labour ward where the pain relief is, ended up with he syntocin drip and an epi and he was born 13 hours later altho he had a shoulder stuck cord around his neck and had a hand held on to cord left in So.needed first vontouse then forceps. I think his hr had dipped although was exhausted so going on what i have been told by dp, within minutes I had 2 doctors a paediatricIan plus mw and 3 extra people on hand, but we got him out and I am stitched to within an inch of my life.

He's feeding well but seems to have an overnight/ morning wind issue but he's perfect and I am in complete awe that we made him and he's here!!

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 17/04/2015 12:03

Bloody MIL got back from her holiday yesterday, she bought presents and wanted to tell us all about her week away and tried to come straight in and cuddle DS, today she went out this morning and we went out this afternoon and got back 15 mins ago, in that time she has tried to get DS out of his car seat and tried to take his bottle off of me to feed him Angry

I've just been blocking her from getting to DS and ignoring her till she goes away, she has no idea why we are so angry at her and her acting as if nothing is happening just makes me want to scream.

LIG1979 · 19/04/2015 07:18

It sounds like there is something not right with your mil mentally. She sounds very odd. I hope you are not letting it get you down! How is the rental property search going? Got anything yet?

Is it just lila waiting now? when is your due date?

LIG1979 · 19/04/2015 07:19

Ignore that....my sleep deprived brain isn't working. is it just Shetland now?

Things just go from bad to worse, been out all day visiting friends got home sat down to feed DS and suddenly hear MIL screaming at DP apparently I'm being unreasonable in not talking to her and why am I being so snotty what's wrong with me? It's obvious I'm keeping DS away from her which is ridiculous as she would never do anything to hurt him! I'm not sure whether to laugh or curl up and cry Sad

Am going to harass the letting agent of the house we want tomorrow, we walked round there and the house is empty so surely the tenants can't object to us having a look, I know they are paying until the end of April but it's completely empty.

TinyTear · 19/04/2015 20:55

Your mil is completely bonkers... Honestly... You all have the patience of saints...

ebwy · 20/04/2015 14:09

honestly, I'd assume she's lost the plot and ignore her existing at this point.

How on earth you haven't lost it at her is beyond me, I would have by now.

LondonSuperTrooper · 21/04/2015 13:39

Congratulations Little,Shetland & Lila I think that we've all given birth now?

Smiling your MIL is not normal! Hope you'll find somewhere decent go rent.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 21/04/2015 14:26
