Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I had a sweep and it wasn't as painful as I feared. Consultant is hoping that this leads to a natural labour over the next few days. I still have to go to monitoring over the weekend. If all fails, them they will induce me next Thursday Shock

LondonSuperTrooper · 09/04/2015 23:31

After today's panic I'm now the proud owner of 2 nursing bras and finally bought a changing bag.

Im tackling the upstairs bedrooms tomorrow. And I'll try booking myself for a wax on Saturday - just hope that they can fit me in.

Tiny DH wouldn't have a clue about cleaning the house!

lila35 · 10/04/2015 05:43

Don't forget me!! 8 days over today and a terrible nights sleep, so I am up watching a couple of episodes of nashville before I go back to sleep...hopefully!!

BAck to the mw today for a second sweep, I have vague period type pains and lost my plug yesterday but am not hopeful its going to get anything moving.

Won't be long before all the babies are here!!!!

LittleBairn · 10/04/2015 12:49

LIG tell me about it. Althought actually not unheard particularly because I was on a double dose of Progestrone and kept on it so long. I'm thinking if we have another (I know this one isn't even out yet!) I would half the dose in the last few weeks and come off it earlier.

lila sounds like you won't be longing having a baby.

London I had a sudden feeling of Shock I was going to be having a baby when I bought my maternity bras.

It's looking like my induction could be cancelled. Angry basically they don't give a crap if I have a traumatic time with examinations and won't allow them done on a public ward. If I want an induction it will be on a ward.
I can call Sunday and if there is a room free they may consider me for it.
Frankly I don't want to spend the whole weekend stressed about this I'm giving serious consideration to having DH call them tonight to cancel.
If they want this baby out they best arrange a C-section.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 10/04/2015 13:09

little I'd push for the c section anyway if I ever have another I am not allowing them to induce.

I have never done as much washing in my life, DS has several clothes changes a day, thank goodness it's sunny and I can get it dry. DS has been in his pram in the garden most of the morning watching daddy cut the grass.

We are waiting in for the midwife which is getting annoying now as we wanted to take DS to meet DP's dad who is in a care home today but the only time the midwife gave us is between 8 and 8 so we are stuck in. I'm getting cabin fever and need to get out

LittleBairn · 10/04/2015 13:38

smiling oh you are nice waiting! I have no intention of waiting in for midwives and HV. Especially HV.

I'm giving serious consideration to C-section knowing she is back to back (and engaged so unlikely to turn) plus its not even her due date so I inducement isn't likely to be easy.

TinyTear · 10/04/2015 15:58

I had a nice HV today! Hooray!
Makes a change
:-)

I am having to wait in for everyone as my scar is gaping a bit so I am on enforced rest to just air it and let it heal... And on antibiotics...
Getting cabin fever... Well done on sticking to the bed rest little!!

LondonSuperTrooper · 10/04/2015 16:01

Well after my sweep yesterday, my waters have gone! I'm now at the hospital waiting to be seen.
Had a manic afternoon packing my bags, washing the last of Bunny's clothes and tidying up. Utterly exhausted now!

LittleBairn · 10/04/2015 16:56

Tiny Grin you do get used to bed rest after a while but I still can't believe I did 16 weeks of it!
I hope the gaping scar isn't causing too much bother and its able to be dealt with at home.

London great news!

TinyTear · 10/04/2015 17:11

Oo London good news.

Little, yes, so far OK to deal with it at home... Only if when I finish the antibiotics it still looks iffy she said to go to the day assessment centre...

OP posts:
LondonSuperTrooper · 10/04/2015 17:36

Well it seems that I'm in early labour Shock

They will let me go home tonight but need to come back in tomorrow morning. If labour hasn't progressed then they will induce me!!!

LIG1979 · 10/04/2015 17:38

Good luck London. I hope it all goes smoothly and you get some rest tonight.

Shetland · 10/04/2015 18:48

Ooh - good luck london

Hope the scar is ok tiny

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 10/04/2015 19:07

Good luck london fingers crossed bunny will make an appearance soon x

little I needed to have my wound checked today and the dressing removed so had no choice but to wait in.

Wound healing nicely, DS had heel pick test and was weighed, he has put on 30g Grin

Visited fil and made a quick stop at the supermarket to pick up a couple more bottles, was out for 2 hours and am now exhausted. DS cluster fed last night from 7.30 - 9pm and then slept from 9.30pm - 2am then 2.30am till 5am so we really can't complain. He's started cluster feeding now so fingers crossed it will be another good night.

tiny Hope the infection heals soon.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 11/04/2015 19:48

Hope everything's ok london

little how's operation eviction going?

MIL has stooped to a new low, we received a letter from a solicitor today informing us of her intention to sell. Just what I need with a week old baby!

TinyTear · 11/04/2015 20:01

Oh for fuck's sake smiling!!!! Your MIL is damn nasty!!

London, are you getting cuddles yet?

OP posts:
LittleBairn · 11/04/2015 20:12

smiling I'm sure I've said this before it is very difficult and legally expensive to force someone unwilling to sell. I should know it delayed us TTC for 4 years and we had to pay the full morgage on DH and his exs property and she still walked away with 50% of the profit.
I would write to the solictor informing him you have no intention of selling.
This will buy you time, if my expereince is anything to go by a lot of time!

Operation eviction well I'm not too sure. I'm not due into the hospital until 8pm I'm going to start calling and hassling to speak to someone in authority at 8am. DH says if they refuse to provide me with a private place for examinations and it has to be cancelled he will the take over.
He is icy cool and calm on the phone and very very persistent.

If they refuse I intended to insit I'm put on the C-section list for Monday morning.

London I hope all is going well.

Tiny how's the scar?

lila any progress?

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 11/04/2015 20:27

I can't even be bothered anymore I don't want my son anywhere near her so as far as I'm concerned the sooner we find somewhere the better. I have the money for a deposit and mil sister has said she will pay off the mortgage and take the money back once the house sells so I'm tempted to say if MIL gives us enough for 6 months rent ill sign my share of the deeds over and she can stay or move or do whatever the hell she wants but she will be doing it alone as we want nothing to do with her. It's DP I feel sorry for Sad

On a happier note DS is doing really well and did 4 hourly feeds last night so at least I'm getting some good blocks of sleep.

little I'm glad your DP is articulate on the phone in helps to have someone who can stand up for you.

Shetland · 11/04/2015 20:45

smiling A solicitors letter?! Did she not even mention it to you herself?
Tbh - although it's a right bloody hassle and the last thing you need right now, it does seem like the best thing to do. It clearly isn't working :(
Glad DS is giving you some sleep :)

little sounds like you have a good plan there, and great that DP is on board with it. Hope you get what you want.

london I'm assuming you're busy?!

lila how's it going?

Lots of brackston hicks tonight, some really quite sore but I don't think it's anything more than that and if it is I'll know soon enough!

38+2

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 11/04/2015 21:05

Nope she didn't say a thing.

The last time anything was discussed was a couple of weeks ago when I posted about the argument we had, when she agreed to just wait till I went back from mat leave then we would start looking at putting the house on the market and renting somewhere.

I've found a couple of houses for £700 per month that would work, some have 3 bedrooms others have a small dining room that could be dsc's room but I'm currently getting £500 maternity pay a month so the sums just don't work. I could quite happily strangle her Angry

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 11/04/2015 21:10

The other option is a 2 bed which would be cheaper and dss would have to sleep on a blow up bed in the nursery (the bedrooms are tiny) and dsd would have to sleep on the sofa but that doesn't seem fair on them although part of me thinks that since they are only here for a week in Feb, a week in April, 3 weeks in august, a week in October and a week in December that it could work. I'm so tired and angry I can't think straight.

LittleBairn · 11/04/2015 21:27

smiling I can understand why you want out quick I at least didnt have to live with DH ex!
Personally if they aren't with you that often it makes sense finacially to go for smaller and cheaper for now at least.
The amount of money you would save could be used to go somewhere nice for one of those weeks.

ebwy · 11/04/2015 21:46

wow, at least mine is just driving me mad with overbearing behaviour... that's just evil. I'd be wanting out asap too smiling

LIG1979 · 11/04/2015 23:07

How is it going London?

Smiling - your mil is a right bit of work. That is really bad timing but it does sound like you are better off away from her. Sounds like you are getting some good sleep.....We seem to get one long stretch between about 5am and 10am which means I never get to sleep it.

have had to get up the last couple of days with dd and it has really exhausted me. Should have napped when they both napped after luncj but instead I made the most of the peace. now I am trying to keep me eyes open whilst I feed.

TinyTear · 12/04/2015 07:51

Good morning.
I healing slowly. Yesterday managed to go out for the first time just to a local cafe for tea and scone while DH went to the playground with DD. Good to be out...

Smiling, I think once you sell the house the least contact you have with MIL the better

London, little lila and Shetland, hope you have progress
