Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 23rd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 40th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

The stats sheet is here

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Thanks all Smile

Yes, I am a bit terrified. I'm mainly annoyed at myself because I weighed myself yesterday and my BMI is 30.8, which means I am a fat fucker, and will be classed as high risk during pregnancy. I'm absolutely set on having a home birth though, so want to change things around a bit (although obviously you can't lose weight whilst upduffed). It would only be albs I need to absorb! Gah.

Lots of stretchy womble pain today! Not too sick though Purple, am hoping expecting that most of the nausea I felt yesterday was excitement/nerves, but we'll see how it goes.

DH not quite sure what to make of everything- I had to assure him that the test wasn't wrong Grin I put An Everyday Miracle on for him though, and I think he is beginning to understand. Was anyone else's DH/DP gobsmacked / baffled / incredulous?!

teejayem · 05/03/2015 10:27

I think the problem I have/Had with Mr Tee lemon is that he is CRAZY excited about the end result (baby!), but less understanding of the journey to get there, and just how tough being PG is (Don't get me wrong, I know a lot of people have it easier or a lot harder, but personally it's a lot harder than I expected) and the early days where I felt nauseous and exhausted, he struggled to get his head around why I didn't want to go out, or eat dinner, or go to bed at 8pm, because on the face of it I 'looked' normal, and you can't see what's going on. I guess men are visual creatures! He's been great though, and I have been a terrible pregnant lady sometimes, but I think it's a bit of a man 'thing' that they need to see or feel bump/baby etc. Even after the 12 week scan we both felt like it was happening to someone else a bit!! As soon as I started to get a sizable bump and he can feel him moving I think it's become a lot more real for him.

Good luck at your appointment today lauren!

to everyone! In a rush so just a quick post. Will catch up properly later Smile

DulcetMoans · 05/03/2015 13:31

I don't think they have all closed gaggia so not sure if it is administration. Ours is still open at least.

They are a step removed from it all tee, so I guess it is harder to understand the impact it has on us as the carriers - our bodies and emotions. Sounds like that video might have worked though lemon.

Does bloat end mountain, that is the question! You will probably start to feel a difference after around 8 weeks but everyone is different and by then it could be replaced with sickness and the inability to eat!

Can't you have pizza with your friend bat? Combine the joy!

LaLaLaaaa · 05/03/2015 14:14

Hope everything's ok Lauren!

I have major arse rain...

OP posts:
laurenamium · 05/03/2015 14:28

gaggia the 2 not too far from me are both still open I think! There isn't a massive amount in them though, I've just put together the Moses basket stand and am now officially ready! Grin

The trace went okay this morning, everything is fine and I don't have to go back now until Monday Smile

ZylaB · 05/03/2015 14:39

Yay for good trace lauren :)

la poor you, I had that lots during pg, until they gave me iron tablets after I had H and that was a whole new experience!! Hmm

LaLaLaaaa · 05/03/2015 15:41

Resident celeb alert!!! Gaggia is in the paper!

batfish · 05/03/2015 15:41

Nah she's one of those with food intolerances so we're going to cook Sad

Good news lauren!

LaLaLaaaa · 05/03/2015 15:42

Great news Lauren!!

minimooo · 05/03/2015 16:37

haha gaggia Grin Love your comment in that article! Thanks for the link la

Good news re trace and moses basket lauren. I took my moses basket apart so that I could wash the lining and now I can't put it back together again Hmm It's currently sitting in dh's 'to do' pile.

Just washed the last of the baby clothes. They are soooo cute all hanging up in the living room Smile

That fitmummy class sounds fab la. Wish there was one round here.

Ah, fleur that sounds a bit crappy. What a shame. Is there another yoga class you could go to?

Off out to do some gardening in the allotment before it gets dark.

laurenamium · 05/03/2015 17:00

Grin gaggia

willywallace · 05/03/2015 17:39

Haha Gaggia good work!

What do you grow in your allotment Mini?

gaggiagirl · 05/03/2015 18:35

thanks for the link la
Mothercare was wank. I wanted maternity tights. H&M obliged.

teejayem · 05/03/2015 19:22

Mother care have an clothing sale on... not looked at their mat stuff tho, my tights were from marks and they've not sagged yet!!! Nice work on your quote gaggia!
Great news lauren! hope you still have your feet firmly up!

I don't have arse rain, but everything feels digestively wrong - I can only assume I've got a head pressing against my stomach? (Which would account for the cervix booting if he's positioned standing up)

Spent the afternoon reading the Childbirth thread back from whence it started. All I'll say is if I squeeze my pelvic floor any harder it'll be like cast iron. [shocked]

LaLaLaaaa · 05/03/2015 19:58

It's like I'm peeing poo :( definitely not well!

Also very few baby movements happening which is making me a bit on edge. Had my fanjo waxed and it's wonky and covered in bits of wax. I might give up on waxing!

Ooh I do love gardening! What do you grow mini? We had massive garden in Scotland and it was lovely. Here it's small but we have lots of pits of veggies.

Gaggia you have the undergrads page on Facebook to thank for the link!

mountaingirl01 · 05/03/2015 20:25

H&M have always been my favourite gaggia and they have not let me down when it comes to mat wear! They are also the only high-street shop in 2 big towns near here that stock mat wear.

LaLaLaaaa · 05/03/2015 20:45

I'm loving new look for mat wear. My Asos trousers shrank in wash!

I have maternity tights but they fall down

OP posts:
minimooo · 05/03/2015 21:14

I got some amazing maternity pjs and comfy/loungey trousers - they're by 'blooming marvellous'. So comfy! I think they were from mothercare.

Gardening done - I made a new compost heap and turned the old one upside down. I manage to grow most day-to-day veg and herbs, and some fruit too. We're really lucky that our allotment backs onto our garden so it's really easy for me to pop out of an evening. Picked some kale for dinner which was really yummy. Not quite sure how I'm going to continue the gardening with a baby, but I'm hoping that she'll nap in the pram while I garden please tell me that's possible! Hmm

DulcetMoans · 05/03/2015 21:36

Fame and you can't even share it in RL gaggia!

You could consider eBay for mat clothes? I've been looking on there for bundles. Got a couple tops last week.

I'm hoping we can gets the garden and veggies in and sorted before I can't do it. Not sure how to handle it at the moment due to the cat poo issue! Hopefully your plan will work mini!

Pisghetti · 05/03/2015 21:42

Great news Lauren! And congratulations Gaggia Grin

I just moved to size L tights which worked fine - I thought the mat ones were a bit pricey.

Had a pg massage this morning - lush! MW appt this afternoon. I let a girl who was clearly in labour go in ahead of me. She wasn't in for very long as she got sent to hospital for being in labour Hmm I'm still not in labour but I got sent to the birth centre for a trace as naughty baby hasn't moved since last night. All is well and she produced a 'textbook' trace - clever thing! stealth boast alert But no tightenings or anything Sad I'll be officially overdue at my next MW appointment so I'll be offered a sweep. Hoping something might happen before that.

I got a lot of my maternity stuff from purpless.com not the highest quality clothes I've ever owned but good enough for the six months or so you're in them!

I did that Mini! Ended up having to google it to work the bloody thing out. I put the hood on backwards initially Blush

DP has really struggled to make the connection between pregnancy and baby in his head. I mean he knows conceptually that the two are linked obviously! It's hard to explain. When we finished putting the furniture in the nursery together he said something along the lines of how weird it felt making a bedroom for someone who wasn't in existence yet. I had to point out that not only did she exist, she was also in the bedroom with us! He is trying though but hasn't always been the most sympathetic partner.... Maybe he's had it too easy as I haven't had any problems and didn't get sick or anything? But I think he thinks I'm a bit lazy rather then genuinely tired at times.

willywallace · 05/03/2015 21:55

I reckon that'll work Mini. Babies always sleep in prams in the fresh air.

Purpleball · 05/03/2015 22:01

Fab news Lauren.

Bugger about the arse rain La

Lemon I've lost 5lbs by eating low GI, apparently my face is thinner and I'm all stomach now!

Indigoblue2 · 05/03/2015 22:41

Men aren't the best with the whole pg/baby thing. Mine said to his mother tonight, when she asked how much paternity he would take "not that much because, I mean, there'll be nothing for me to do". Cue rage Angry

ZylaB · 05/03/2015 23:42

If that's true wil I'm putting her outside now! I'm not allowed to lie down lol, she starts wailing every time, even if she looks fast asleep when I do it!
