Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 23rd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 40th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

The stats sheet is here

So, roll call below please, viroids!

I'm watching your SIL zyla!

She is lovely la just wish she could tell em all the answers about screaming babies, like she could about being pregnant lol

ZylaB · 11/03/2015 21:24

*me

TheBooMonster · 11/03/2015 21:26

pis that's why I ordered the labour companion CD instead, though I seem to recall there's a lovely waves on the beach track, I love the sound of waves on the beach!

grumpy face DH just got his head bitten off for daring to complain about an ingredient in a recipe that he'd been raving about for weeks >.> wouldn't have minded but given that I'd waited to do dinner so that we could eat together when he got home at almost 9pm after work and I am so flipping fed upon cooking he was really pushing his luck! And because I was running behind and dinner wasn't ready when he got home he started hovering and interfering grumble

DulcetMoans · 11/03/2015 21:57

I would eat it pis, but I am very trusting! Just not sure why they would bring it if it was dodgy and only someone that likes cooking would make you a curry - so I imagine a clean kitchen.

What a pest you have in there mountain! Glad you got to see it again. Will you try for NT one last time?

Good job gaggia, there's no way he is going anywhere now! And what an easy tactic to get him to stay - ripping your fanny apart and looking after a child the rest of your life! Haha. What did you say?!

There is no right or wrong answer to what you should do tee, what is better for you and your family? Can you employer force you to start maternity leave early if you are signed off with pregnancy related illness? I know mine can but not sure on the exact rules.

What's the go to waffle topping chat? Make us jealous!

LaLaLaaaa · 12/03/2015 07:08

Morning!

I'm in denial about getting up. I don't want to. Got to give big presentation in Andover so need to get up.

gaggia isn't that what we are all doing? Trapping our guys into marriage with pregnancy...? Smile and nod...

Watched obem with mr La. It wasn't as good as the normal ones - I miss the funny midwife. Noticed purple pushing, no skin to skin, and lots of other stuff that I hope doesn't happen to me! Dh watched it and asked lots of questions about the machines and stuff.

pis how odd! But watching my dh threw up all day yesterday from good poisoning I wouldn't eat it. Lettuce was the culprit!

tee my mum was sent off on may leave 12 weeks before baby due. I think you need to do whatever is best for your body and baby.

Will catch up later, I'm late!

Morning viroids! Lovely sunny morning here. Anyone else got the broken nights sleep? I seem to be exhausted during the day again, go to bed at 10 & can sleep until about 3 and then that's my lot. Don't think it's helped by cats woken early by twittering birds and that its a bit lighter earlier.
Thank you all for comments on my ML sitch. I've decided I'm going to ask my GP this morning for the cert. if I get it, I'm taking my last two weeks sick and then starting my Annual leave before Mat. Mr tee is a bit humph about it and implied I just didn't want to go back to work and we'll run out of money quicker, but it is just 4 weeks, plus I get a lump refund on my season ticket, so he can bloody well put up with it.
So funny Gaggia. You dirty sperm thief you!

Purpleball · 12/03/2015 08:12

Tee it's up to you and no one else. You could do KIT days once the baby is a bit older if you need extra cash.

I'm 12 weeks today and feel like celebrating. It's a milestone and I'm still pregnant Smile
Hoping to get a burst of energy soon and lose the nausea too GX

Fattycow · 12/03/2015 08:32

Our pram arrived! It is so pretty! Now I just have to wait 4 months so I can put a baby in it...

gaggiagirl · 12/03/2015 08:55

tee what is your season ticket for? Sorry you're having such a mat leave mare.

purple ready to say hello to the second trimester?

dulcet I just said I did do it to trap him and its worked so job done!

teejayem · 12/03/2015 09:07

Season ticket for the train gaggia - I commute into London to the tune of £3880 a year, and it's paid through a deduction in my salary each month, which is about £320 so if I cancel it, I am a bit better off.
Yay for pram fatty what did you get?
Happy 12 weeks purple! :) it starts to go a lot faster now! Enjoy 2nd trimester. It's definately less yuk than the first!

Fleurchamp · 12/03/2015 11:18

Yikes that's a hefty season ticket price. DH's is £1500 including tube and I thought that was a lot!

No commute for me Grin but it means I have no excuses to go on mat. Leave earlier. I am actually itching to go.

Do people really think women have a baby to trap a man? It's really the easy option isn't it Hmm

minimooo · 12/03/2015 11:19

tee sorry to hear you're having mat leave troubles. I agree with others that it's totally your decision. Do whatever feels right for you.

gaggia Shock at that comment! You gave a good comeback though. I can never think of stuff like that quickly enough!

Good luck with the presentation la!

Yay purple Smile Tee's right, time starts speeding forward from 12 weeks!

I woke up this morning with a trapped nerve in my left hip. I do get them occasionally and they usually resolve within an hour or so of being up, but this one is lingering. Any advice on how to get it to click back and release the nerve? I look/feel about 80 years old, hobbling around!

Can't believe the timing - am off for an anaesthetist appt this afternoon because I have a slight scoliosis. My back/hips haven't given me any jip for years (until this morning Hmm) and I was hoping that they'd put me back down to low-risk (so I can use the MLU for delivery) Confused

teejayem · 12/03/2015 13:21

Yeah, it's the price you pay for living far enough out of London to not get your shirt pulled off with housing prices, but totally bumsexed over train fares.

mini argh! timing is so typical, hope you get on okay, I don't know if this would work, but when my hip does a peculiar, I sit on the floor with my legs in front of me and twist my upper body to the side while trying to point my hip into the ground. Usually makes it pop in again...?

I did it! GP has signed me off for three weeks, taking me to 31, he also said I should strongly consider taking my ML sooner rather than later as it won't get any better, etc, etc.

......and I've just spoken to work to tell them, and said that I'd like to move my annual leave forward by three weeks to start once my note has run out and they have said yes :) I cannot even begin to describe the relief, it seems something so stupid to get worked up over, but this is the kind of thing that keeps me awake at night. I'm having a sausage sandwich and a magnum to celebrate.
Thank you again viroids for your encouragement, I love our little group!

batfish · 12/03/2015 14:00

Afternoon viroids! It's nearly my weekend, woohoo! Doing absolutely nothing tonight for the first night this week and I cannot bloody wait.

Congrats purple on your 12 week milestone! Very awesome Grin

tee I'm so pleased your work agreed to your request, what a weight off your mind.

I got blood results today from docs appt on Saturday, the good news is I don't have HIV or hepatitis Shock but I do have no immunity to toxoplasmosis apparently. She said to stay away from cats and wash my fruit and veg! I am surprised I don't have immunity as I grew up around cats. I'm often rubbish at washing fruit and veg if it already looks clean, I'd better get better at it!

splodge77 · 12/03/2015 15:09

hi viroids, congrats on sorting out your work situ Tee - must be a huge relief and congrats purple on hitting the 12 week milestone.

my ribs are killing me, i've taken to working at my laptop in the most weird positions to ease it. Good news for me is I got a 2nd opinion on my ELCS/prolapse situ from a friend of friend who is obstetrician. She was so helpful and informative - also recommends I try for natural birth but gave me good reasons to do so unlike my consultant who was just going on recommendation of my gynae who I think is useless... i did some googling on her yesterday and found out that she almost got struck off a few years ago for misconduct so my lack of confidence in her seems justified. I'll defo be going elsewhere when time comes for my pelvic floor repair op!

Bat, stay away from gardening too or wear thick gloves to do so - I read somewhere that more people get toxoplas from gardening than dealing with cat litter.

splodge77 · 12/03/2015 15:15

ps: loved the expression 'swamp-foof' - a few pages back to describe excess CM. ha ha! I am so there. Going through 2 pantyliners a day. Nice.

willywallace · 12/03/2015 15:32

Ah I remember the days of achey ribs and swamp foof. Glad they are a distant memory.

Fleurchamp · 12/03/2015 17:05

Swamp foof Grin

Oh the glamour!

Lemondrizzletwunt · 12/03/2015 17:25

Whoop! Midwife booked for next Tuesday! I accidentally signed off the call with 'see you next Tuesday' Blush

willywallace · 12/03/2015 17:35

Grin Lemon

teejayem · 12/03/2015 18:01

Swamp foof is something I keep waking up with, it's horrid because I like to be nekkid in case I get the chance to abuse Mr Tee in the night also heard it was good ventilation if you're in knickers all day, but it's troublesome... maybe TMI but before I started wearing liners, one pair of black knickers that copped a fair bit of swamp food CM actually changed color at the crotch after they'd been washed. Like swamp foof was so acidic it bleached the dye off the cotton. Shock (Obvs didn't tell Mr Tee that in case he refused to put his knob in my vat of acid foof ever again).
Hurrah lemon you keen bean! ;)

DulcetMoans · 12/03/2015 18:28

Everything aches! My body feels like it ran a marathon or something. Ribs I totally agree with. Leg cramp leading to calf muscles ache all day. My body is broken! /moan

Great news you have it all sorted tee, hopefully you can relax now. Sausage sandwich is a great way to celebrate, mmmmm!

It's great they check all that though bat, now you know. I'm crap at washing fruit but I think you've just done enough to remind me!

Great news on the 12 weeks purple! You should have a sausage sandwich to celebrate as well.

Ok, sounds dodgy that way. We've all had enough sausage sandwiches to get to this stage!

Lemondrizzletwunt · 12/03/2015 18:30

Haha Tee I have a black pair of knickers that are orange at the crotch now as they came a-cropper from the acid fanjo joy that is swamp foof.

I was a bit surprised about the MW to be honest, my MW sister told me my booking appt would be around 8wks, but she knows I'll be 5+5 and is coming to my house (which feels very genteel). I think I definitely need to get that appt in though as the hormone surge is happening...I've just cried at Kate Middleton visiting the set of Downton. Blush

ZylaB · 12/03/2015 18:33

I don't want to tempt fate and be horribly wrong, but..... No sign of pis today??

Puuuuuush pis Grin xx
