Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 23rd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 40th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

The stats sheet is here

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Oh tee I'm so so sorry about your friend, what an absolutely horrible thing. I hope his family will find a way to cope without him, cancer is just such a cruel disease.

DulcetMoans · 09/03/2015 17:22

Sorry to hear about your friend tee, that is horrible news to get. I am sure it will be hard for everyone involved but hopefully with the time he had to prepare there was time to sort everything out and make it as easy as possible on them all.

The first couple of OBEM were at my local hospital as well tee. They used to recruit from local NCT groups. If it was still here you could all be looking at my foof! (not that I would go on it). I will be watching though, don't think I will have a problem with it but will see.

I am about 15 grapes off a whole punnet as well fleur. It's just fruit though, what's bad about fruit?!

RPopz · 09/03/2015 18:34

Really sorry to hear about your friend Tee Sad Devastating. Definitely puts things into perspective.

I couldn't watch OBEM while I was upduffed cos I was a bit scaredy! And then after everything I'd read and learned about it birth it just really annoyed me about how badly it portrays the births sometimes! I do like the backstories though. Always used to make me cry before, be interested to see how I react now having been through it myself!

Lemondrizzletwunt · 09/03/2015 19:01

Haven't caught up with today's posts yet, but am just popping in to say that I think there's a BFP on the undergrads Fred...come and lend your learned eye!

LaLaLaaaa · 09/03/2015 19:28

That's awful tee I'm so sorry :(

I am ignoring advice and still eating many many calories.

Lemondrizzletwunt · 09/03/2015 19:29

Tee I'm so sorry to hear about your friend; it's heartbreaking when someone dies young and leaves behind all the possibilities that might have been in their future.

Really want to watch OBEM but DH is having none of it...

I feel very pregnant today. No sickness (yet) but I'm having lots of stretchy womble feelings, need to wee a lot, and a pooing all the livelong day! Is this usual, or unique to me? Grin

Am going to hand in the paperwork at the docs tomorrow for my booking appointment, ready to get this show on the road...!

Lemondrizzletwunt · 09/03/2015 19:37

Oh, and I also can't stop burping Blush

Lemondrizzletwunt · 09/03/2015 19:44

DH has also kindly reminded me of the constant farting, terrible bloat, shit skin and boobs that kill. Thanks you smug fucker

willywallace · 09/03/2015 20:03

So nice of him Lemon.

So sorry to hear about your friend Tee. That's so awful, just so unfair.

Dulcet just check advice about second hand mattresses before you use it - not saying don't use it if you trust where it comes from but just to make you aware in case you're not. We have one this time which I got from a friend with the cot but I know it's smoke free etc.

Purpleball · 09/03/2015 20:12

Oh Tee that's awful. I'm so sorry lovie

La I'll have a look at the dream genie thanks Smile

Yay for the cot Dulcet

Chat are you and DH both tall?

Bra shopping at the Fort was unsuccessful. Evans do my size but all their bras squeak! The soft cup ones are awful. I'm not giving up underwires!

Had a look at mat clothes in New Look and wasn't impressed. Think I'm going to have to look online

Not sure I can be arsed to go into Glasgow tomorrow night for Debenhams or M&S. I could go the other way to Livingston.
I was so tired after work tonight I could have cried Confused

Purpleball · 09/03/2015 20:13

Lemon I burp loads now and no one believes it's a pregnancy thing!

I've just set Sky+ for OBEM. Not sure how I feel about it now it's actually going to happen to me!

willywallace · 09/03/2015 20:17

There are some moulded ones in debenhams which aren't underwired but keep you uplifted better. The underwired ones aren't great for your boobs once you get towards the end.

teejayem · 09/03/2015 20:51

Thanks viroids. Shit news, but onwards..Mr tee got a big snog when he got home from work. Mum is going to come to hospital appt weds, so feel a bit less woeful. Still sad :(
purple have a look at asos maternity, esp the clearance, I've picked up loads from there and cheep!
I think I have a serious addiction to rowntrees fruit pastille ice lollies. It's just water isn't it, so 4 a day isn't excessive.....?

deeplybaffled · 09/03/2015 21:04

Congrats, lauren and welcome, Isaac!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the reassurance about the downs results - got the results from the private Harmony test today. only took about 10 days, and everything came back as very low risk :) 1:10,000 compared to 1:85 for the combined test.

hasn't quite sunk in yet, i don't think ...

Purpleball · 09/03/2015 21:07

Thanks Wil and Tee. I'm investigating now

Hurray for Harmony Deeply. Ours is due back this week, I'm trying not to stress about it

willywallace · 09/03/2015 21:07

Fabulous news Deeply, so pleased for you.

Ice lollies are totally fine Tee. Might have to buy some tomorrow.

RPopz · 09/03/2015 21:13

Great news Deeply Smile Did you find out the flavour??

I second Asos purple! M&S do some maternity bras that are non underwire, but they're still quite structured and moulded/ padded. I honestly didn't notice much difference. They're nursing bras too so you'd get plenty of use out of them.

Tee - I used to love them... but only the purple bit at the top! Grin

LaLaLaaaa · 09/03/2015 21:19

deeply that's wonderful news! You must be so pleased

tee I'm also addicted to those! I think there's a lot of sugar in them...

OK - those of you who know about Ergo carriers. Are they unisex please? Just sent message to someone on preloved who is selling one with insert for £50 and suddenly thought I should check.

OP posts:
gaggiagirl · 09/03/2015 21:34

tee

dulcet same as you I'm constantly nauseous and hungry!

Mountain who is it that you are calling? Have you tried the ultrasound reception, the women's centre or your gps surgery as they should have been copied in to your scan report. Do you have the scan report?. They are total bastards for leaving you hanging like this.

lemon I think you will be booked in with the midwife before I am! I've been pregnant forever almost 10 weeks and I've heard nowt from anyone.

teejayem · 09/03/2015 21:35

Aw, brilliant news deeply :)

Iceland are selling packs of 8 of those lollies for the same price most other supermarkets sell 4. They are delish and so juicy!

DulcetMoans · 09/03/2015 21:46

Is that a thing wil?! I knew about car seats but not mattresses. To google!

I had awful burping lemon, all day long.

I think the hunger/sickness thing is more reasonable in first trimester gaggia. Now I'm just greedy! Little and often was the best way forward.

Great news in your results deeply, hope you feel better now.

Think baby may be defiant. At yoga we were relaxing and teacher said babies were in tune with her voice and relaxing etc just as mine kicked off as if to say 'not a chance'!

RPopz · 09/03/2015 21:47

Yep you can use them for girls and boys La - or do you mean can Mum and Dad wear them? Either way, yes Grin

RPopz · 09/03/2015 21:51

Yup Dulce I heard that you're not supposed to use second hand mattresses too. Not 100% sure why. Our Moses basket and mattress is a handmedown from SIL though... I guess as long as you know and trust whoever you're getting it from and its clean then it's not an issue really.

mountaingirl01 · 09/03/2015 21:53

Shit news Tee, I'm sorry x
Re lollies- I have a bit of a twister addiction. Definitely just water, and sugar is necessary for energy right? bang goes 6 years of study Also I am telling myself, at least they are better than a bag of haribo.

Gaggia, I have called all the numbers in my mat notes - they just tell me to call my midwife, but I don't really have one, my community midwife is based at my GP but is only for antenatal, ie can't request scans etc, as she is in a different trust to where I am giving birth. I'm pretty annoyed that no-one seems to want to help. grrr. Harmony isn't really an option, it's just too expensive especially as I'm only 27 and we have no family history. Sonographer didn't really write anything in my notes, other than date for 20w. (fab news btw deeply what a relief)

lemon I would love to poo all day, want to swap? I have been trying the prune juice and it is damned horrible! I have to kind of swig it down telling myself it's medicine.. better than lactulose at least.

I definitely need more than 80cals a day. I get VERY ratty, tired and sicky if I don't not much changed there then the exercise really has to start again soon!

Lemondrizzletwunt · 09/03/2015 21:56

Ga I doubt it, booking appt is 8wks at the earliest. We self refer here so no GP appt first, which I'm not sure how I feel about.

I still wake up every morning and it takes me a couple of seconds to realise that being upduffed isn't just a dream Smile
